I would recommend running ethernet/fibreoptic if available under those floorboards. Especially in an old house like that Internet is going to have a hard time getting through walls and its because its a huge house you're going to want Access points. If you run the cables under the floor boards it means you can probably mount them pretty hidden. If you go for POE (Power over ethernet) you shouldn't even need to supply power. You could also probably also look into wall/floor ports for if you have a games room or an office you can have a stable wired ethernet connection or strong WiFI from an access point. Probably a good idea to do it now so when you eventually put flooring down. it wont be too bad for you if done now! Loving the build so far! Been watching for a while and nice to see how you're adding a modern touch to an old build whilst keeping its history! Note generally AP's or mesh home wifi systems do want to be clear from obstruction so running the cables underground is fine but you would want to have the access point Poking out or on the wall/roof etc.

While I can't wait to see the end result of your hard work watching "the process" is just as interesting and seeing how thrilled Millie is upon finding little "treasures" in the flooring takes me back to the time when I was cleaning out a property that I had inherited but which contained over 4 tonnes of rubbish including several mummified rats which was disgusting. The top floor room to stay in is a great idea. Also, did you enjoy removing the wallpaper? No. Exactly. I think you can still keep to the original decor of the house using the panelling as you intend and other trim work. IMO. Quick tip regarding floorboards. When I have to take up boards in my old house I have a block of chalk to mark where they came from. So I always draw a wiggly line of chalk over two boards, making it easier to see where it came from. The same with cutting. A wiggly line is easier to match up.
