Yes! I agree! We will survive the Bust. sell Local.
We need both technology. Gas / diesel engines that are improved with smaller electric motors . They can operate independently together .
Sleep well Scotty Kilmer. You save my life every freakin' day, giving me hope in this mad mad mad mad world.😎
People make the error of thinking Tesla is a car company. Yes at one level of course it is, it makes cars. However what is its’ true purpose behind the facade of making cars? It’s an AI company and that what it’s long term future is predicated on.
*Best selling car in 2023 Model-Y Tesla, no advertising, and you say nobody wants a TESLA?.....*
I worked for an auto parts manufacturer who said they were just building a new plant in Mexico for the extra business. "The US plant will not close," they said. As an engineer, I visited the plant in Mexico and saw how big it was and knew it would all go. Within a year it all went to Mexico. This company was Takata. Takata is now known for killing people due to defective airbags. They have 67 million airbags recalled.
Things to love about EVs:
1. Child battery labor
2. Range anxiety
3. Risk of garage fires
4. Paying 20k more than a comparable vehicle
5. Battery degredation
6. Poor resale value
7. Reduced performance in cold, highway
8. Higher repair costs
9. Awful charging network experiences in the weather without restrooms
10. Higher insurance rates
11. Replacing tires more frequently
But hey theres a tax credit!
Electeic vehicles have many advantages too. Except they suck right now and will probably suck for a long time.
What car -which is $20K less -is comparable to a Tesla model 3 performance?
The car for people with my more money than brains!
I'm excited for low resale value, charge at home ability, portable power source, starts in extreme cold, no fluid leaks, less moving parts, better acceleration. Not saying everything is better but these are the things I'm excited about a used electric car
12. Health risks/ exposure to EMF
Toyota is in debt about 240 billion and is the most in debt company in the world. They are in debt because of how they run their R&D department. They make great cars for that reason. It’s not a black mark on Toyota but an eye opener on how dedicated they are to their craft. To this day they have a A+ credit rating. Viva la Toyota 🙌
What is the source of your numbers?
It’s no secret Toyota has more debt than most small countries. I’m not going to source 100+ publications. It’s a publicly traded company it’s no secret. The A+ credit rating comes from S&P 500, Fitch, and moody’s.
Share holders get them in debt 😮😮😮
@@James-cs2wiToyota is ranked 2 out of 64 when it comes to share price, only beaten by Tesla due to the insane amount of artificially inflated speculation that's predicated on their ability to secure strong government contracts. If the government stayed out of the way and let capitalism do its thing, Toyota would be ranked number 1.
I have such a hard time figuring this out

It would be better if American car companies stop being woke, move factories back to America, and focus on quality / reliability
As a kid I remember playing with electric RC cars. The batteries always drifted… 😊
funny, when I was a kid... the RC cars had little gas engines in them... that didn't run 80% of the time. When they DID run... they smoked, were loud, and dripped oily fuel everywhere. Perspective, huh?
Back then, when the gas RC cars started, they were faster than the electric RC cars. These days, the brushless motor RC cars will out run the gas 1's. 😮
I remember after a few charges the batteries needed to be replaced in the car.
What can I say...this man,Scotty Kilmer, is absolutely right...and you KNOW he is.
Nah he’s delusional. Tesla’s sales figures are growing every quarter. They have zero problems selling cars
😂 He wants China to own the entire automotive market. Guys like this want to see great American companies like Tesla fail. I have no respect for clowns like this

Honestly, I'm not sure it isn't any worse than any other EV pickup. I won't argue that it has a lot of flaws, though.
If Tesla can refine the design and turn it into a decent EV pickup more power to them! Until they do, though, I don't see any point in presenting it as something it isn't.

Full tints are pretty common in Kentucky. Me personally, I would be a nervous wreck to drive after dark with a full tint. In Costa Rica, the government sets the price of fuel each month. It doesn't matter what area of the country you are in, it is all the same price! They are all full service, also. For a few months last year, the price of Premium was lower than Regular, because they produced too much Premium fuel!

Don’t buy an EV unless you can afford to pay $20,000 to replace the battery in ten years.
Five or less since a lot of EVs are not even THAT reliable, quality-wise. Tesla have breaks in their paneling, and are made for cheap.
$20.000 is a low figure, Hyundai want around $50.000 right now which totals out the car even if its close to new, will batteries get cheaper, I truly doubt it, nothing gets cheaper in the world of power.
This is why I call them disposable cars, not much different to your cellphone, because the battery technology is the same. Also the technology changes so fast it would never be worth replacing the batteries. Unlike a classic Historic vehicle which can last indefinitely if properly maintained and repaired, The EV is destined for the rubbish tip. Because no car panel repair businesses or mechanics want to touch them, because they are not IT experts or high voltage dc/ac electrical engineers.
Batteries go 300 to 500K with 10% battery degradation 🫠ice

The Jeep Wrangler is an iconic American vehicle with a rich history and a loyal fan base. Given its long-standing presence in the market, one might expect that the Wrangler would have reached an exceptional level of quality and refinement by now, especially if the principles of kaizen, or continuous improvement, had been consistently applied. However, critics argue that the Wrangler has failed to live up to its potential, remaining an expensive yet low-quality vehicle.
Rather than embracing the kaizen philosophy of gradual, incremental improvements, the Jeep Wrangler's development seems to have been marked by a series of stops and starts, with significant changes and redesigns occurring sporadically. This approach has resulted in a vehicle that, despite its popularity, still suffers from various issues related to build quality, reliability, and comfort.
Some of the common complaints about the Jeep Wrangler include:
1. Poor on-road handling: The Wrangler's solid front axle and tall suspension, designed for off-road capabilities, make it less comfortable and stable on paved roads compared to other SUVs in its class.
2. Noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH): The Wrangler's interior is often criticized for being loud and prone to vibrations, making for a less refined driving experience.
3. Fuel efficiency: The Wrangler has historically had poor fuel economy, which is a significant drawback for many potential buyers.
4. Build quality: Critics have pointed out that the Wrangler's build quality lags behind its competitors, with issues such as panel gaps, interior materials, and overall fit and finish.
5. Reliability: The Wrangler has been plagued by various reliability issues over the years, which can lead to costly repairs and a lower resale value.
In contrast to the Wrangler's development, had Jeep embraced the kaizen approach, they might have focused on addressing these issues systematically over time, making small but consistent improvements with each new model year. This could have resulted in a more refined, higher-quality vehicle that retains its off-road capabilities while also offering a better on-road experience.
However, it seems that the Jeep Wrangler's development has not followed this path, and as a result, it remains an expensive yet low-quality vehicle compared to many of its competitors. Despite its loyal fan base and iconic status, the Wrangler's shortcomings serve as a reminder that consistent improvement and refinement are crucial for creating a truly exceptional product.

Love me
I guess it wouldn’t make real sense to do this. But some Teslas are pretty clean looking. Hybrid Teslas would sell I think. But then just buy Toyota. I don’t know. Whatever ✌🏼
CT looks great though
Scotty please please do one on the effects of rideshare explosion years ago and how it’s resulting in massive inventory in poor quality used cars. You got highway miles, then you have city miles but Uber miles is unnaturally destructive
Tiny Kei sized EV's for inner city use, good. The industry following knee jerk, uneducated government policy, doom.
Scotty aggressively guarding his gig. I think he has called every car a piece of junk one time or another!
Hilarious ones are the best ones! 🙌🏻🇺🇸
Scotty Kilmer, Americas “Automotive Truth Social” moderator, reporting it like it is. Minus some minor details, like actual facts. But hey, why let facts get in the way of some easy RUclips income, right?
It's got nothing to do with the company being European. A US company would do the same thing. All they care about is profit and the shareholders.
That's how much corporations love their employees.
Maybe you all have not seen the latest Consumer Reports article that confirms that Tesla's are so well built they have the LOWEST MAINTENANCE out of any other brand. So you all can start crying that you know nothing about the automotive industry and even less about electric cars:
Rank Brand Total Maintenance Cost Over 10 Years
1 Tesla $4,035
2 Buick $4,900
3 Toyota $4,900
4 Lincoln $5,040
5 Ford $5,400
6 Chevrolet $5,550
7 Hyundai $5,640
8 Nissan $5,700
9 Mazda $5,800
10 Honda $5,850
That's why you don't see to many Honda commercials...
I hear more and more of them on the radio. About the same time their quality started going down.
If musk cared he'd fire himself.
Fuel is averaging 1.70 to 2.10 a litre in Australia so US have it cheap!
Absolutely hate that Optima batteries went that route.
