    We're Messianic Torah Observant members and we prayed all the times for all grafted churches and other religions to accept and acknowledge Yeshua's Messianic Church. We loved reading the Torah and New Covenant Book. Pray for the peace of Yerusalayim and Yisrael and to all the Jewish people to come to know and accept Yeshua into their life and be save. Thank you for sharing your story.

    Rabbi Shapira, Thank you for coming to Congregation Beth Adonai and praying for me in obedience to HaShem. The LORD G-d gave me a new heart that day; I was healed. Jesucristo (Yeshua HaMashiach) is holding my hand and leading me away from Bisexuality. I cannot serve as a assistant minister until I am heterosexual again the way Yeshua HaMashiach made me. It takes time. I was abused sexually as a child and an adult, and I abused myself out of self hatred. Adonai Rophe healed me completely. Adonai Rophe will continue to heal me and give me all the gifts of the Ruach Elohim and the Fruit of the Ruach Elohim; and lead me away from Bisexuality and evil reports and speeches and onto His narrow path. Thank you big Bro and Rabbi for being obedient therefore being a key part in this testimony over my victory in Jesus' name, AMEN :D

    It's always wonderful to see a Jew touched by Yeshua, return to our Shepherd, the overseer of our souls...when that happens, they can't half teach us grafted in branches a thing or two. I pray to the Lord that He makes Itzhak His instrument to bring His fellow countrymen to a saving knowledge of Him who is worthy of our worship.

Your sermon on holiness and your story have been a great blessing to me, who have been in many Christian denominations seeking Truth and seeing true worship of the Living One, the God of Israel, His Only Begotten Son Yeshua, and the Holy Spirit. You have helped to bring awe and depth and integrity back to my spirit by showing me the face of the living God reflected in the peaceful faces of His Redeemed, his law written in their hearts by God Himaelf as we offer ourselves as living sacrifices in His honour, our true worship! Amen!

    I noticed years ago that we Chinese believers in Yeshua were and are deceived in calling our Messiah a wrong name. it is Not Jesus, but "Yeshu" without "a". Yeshua means salvation and Yeshu means may his name be blotted out forever. a wicked scheme of Hasatan and a blasphemy, through the people involved in translating into Chinese language. All Chinese followers of Yeshua should start calling on our Savior the correct name.Amen.

    Thank you for this message, it was a heart felt re-cap about your life. One of the teachings we observe in the Bible, is that when people turn from G-d, he (G-d) hands you over to strange things like Baal and Egypt, god's from other peoples.
    What about blindness?
    When R' Shapira was telling his story of "45 min out in the cold, paralyzed"
    Only a person with complete blindness would rebound from that and say "Yahshua who"
    What we learn from the story, is that with just a small effort, a tingling of the senses, shimmer of light, a wisp of truth, G-d will do the rest.
    Unless!
    Your like Jonah, “Arise, go to Nineveh" (NO?) my hand is up, how 'bout any of you? That make's things a little more interesting wouldn't you say?
    John 12:40 says that God hardens some men's hearts, and blinds their eyes so they can’t understand and be converted and healed. John 12:39 says that they could not believe because of this.
    Do what R'Shapira did, get in that "New Testament" so you can finally put "the Yahshua myth", to bed. And may G-d bless you in your reading.

    Isaiah 53:3-5 KJVS
    [3] He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. [4] Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. [5] But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

    1) I am the exact opposite of R' Shapira; I was raised in modern Christianity & studied to go into ministry, yet the more I learned about the Jewish Yeshua, the more I saw the contradictions of Christianity. The more I learned of the Hebraic culture of Tanakh, the further I saw the truth and learned that my beloved Yeshua was not God, nor the Mashiach.
    I have always noticed that Jews who convert to Christianity 99% of the time were secular Jews, or Jews with little Jewish background (Reform Judaism at the most). Yet R' Shapira claims to have a traditional background. There are a few points in this story that stand out as odd...

    • @AhavatAmmi

      I did not convert to Christianity nor I have any connection to Christianity. You clearly have never heard about R' Daniel Zion, R' Zolli, R' Lichtenstein, and dozens others. Everything at the end of the day comes to definition. I challenge you to read "The Return of the Kosher Pig" www.kosherpig.org and then we can have a free and open discussion. Shabbat Shalom.

      I want to read the book & I will. I also have a book I'm writing. So how do you define yourself? When I was in Messianic Judaism, I think I heard of R' Lichtenstein. Some have stayed within Judaism, such as the Netzarim, which is the only kind of Yeshua I could see, but it sounds like you endorse the fundamental doctrines of Christianity. I cannot see how a Torah observant Jew could jump to such a contrast.

    • @AhavatAmmi
      @AhavatAmmi  10 лет назад +6

      ***** , How do I define myself? Does it matter? The way that HaShem defines me is much more important. I am a Jew that is true and honest to the traditions of my fathers. Nothing more and nothing else. Those who want to define me can go right ahead, G-D is not in the business of definition as he said in the Torah ומלתם את לבבכם, Shabbat Shalom.

We "Notzrim" are clearly made mention of in Avodah Zarah 6a, Ta'anit 27b, and may be reconstructed in other texts such as Gittin 57a and in synagogal prayer. Their heritage carried on from the original disciples. Americans put the term Messianic. But Rabbi Shapira was, is and never changed. Jewish.

    2)To me it sounds like R' Shapira had a traditional background, but without knowledge. He made the statement that he never heard of the Messiah & wasn't looking for one. Yet in Orthodox Judaism the coming of Mashiach is prayed for 3 times a day.
    Next he said he joined an anti-missionary group, yet the points he brought up that drew him to Jesus are easily refuted among anti-missionaries; how could he not have known?
    In sum, the biblical points he made about what made him come to believe in Jesus seem to have come from a lack of knowledge on those passages. No well informed Jew, who knew his Tanakh would not have gotten tripped up by something so easily refuted as the virgin birth, and so on. Isa 53 doesn't even mention the Mashiach, yet he automatically came to the conclusion that its about Messiah & Jesus. Hmm...why was he so bent to Jesus?

    • @AhavatAmmi
      @AhavatAmmi  10 лет назад +6

      You are wrong again on multiple accounts. Watch the last 30 seconds of this video: Moses or Messiah ? Which one is greater? "We are not Messiah based religion" . Most of Orthodox Judaism today diminish Messiah's importance since we are today in exile......
      On your other point, you are also off. I have spent almost 20 years of my life writing The Return of the Kosher Pig. look it up yourself. On your topic of Isaiah 53 and Virgin Birth you speak out of ignorance empty words. If you TRULY wants to know why I believe that Yeshua is the promised Jewish Messiah read the book for yourself. Either way, I would like to wish you Shabbat Shalom .

"And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, a spirit of wisdom and understanding, a spirit of counsel and heroism, a spirit of knowledge and fear of the Lord." (Isaiah 11:1-2)

      Is he not from the the bloodline of jessie? and you still haven't told me who the messiah is. you can tell me why he is not.(YESHUA) but you can't tell me the name of your messiah. and is he coming from the virgin still. and what is his name. YESHUA or are you too involved in laws and earthly things you miss the MESSIAH YESHUA! the SPIRIT OF YAH RESTS ON YESHUA THE MESSIAH. LORD OF LORDS AND MASTER OF MASTERS.

    • @bigshmooz9293
      @bigshmooz9293 9 лет назад

      +charles cramer You ask... "Is he not from the the bloodline of Jessie?" My response... I am assuming you mean jesus. According to your own new test he isn't. Doesn't the new test claim he had no biological father? If you will answer that it is through his mother I will answer you twofold. According to the new test Mary was from the tribe of Levi. But in truth it doesn't even matter since tribal lineage does not pass through the mother. The Book of Numbers explicitly states "according to his family on his FATHER'S house" (Numbers chapter 1) Next you state... "and you still haven't told me who the messiah is." My response... You're correct. I haven't. But what does that even matter in this context? Let's even say that I don't know who he is. Why would that matter? But being that you are asking who the Messiah is, I will give you my answer. The Messiah is King David. Scripture actually says that the king at the end of days will be King David. I quote... Jeremiah chapter 30.... 8. And it shall be on that day, says the Lord of Hosts, [that] I will break his yoke off your neck, and I will break your thongs, and strangers shall no longer enslave them. 9. And they shall serve the Lord their God and David their king, whom I will set up for them. Ezekiel chapter 34... 23. And I shall put up over them one shepherd and he will shepherd them, namely My servant David; he will shepherd them, and he will be for them as a shepherd. 24. And I, the Lord, shall be to them for a God, and My servant David [will be] a prince in their midst; I, the Lord, have spoken. Ezekiel Chapter 37... 24. And My servant David shall be king over them, and one shepherd shall be for them all, and they shall walk in My ordinances and observe My statutes and perform them.
      25. And they shall dwell on the land that I have given to My servant, to Jacob, wherein your forefathers lived; and they shall dwell upon it, they and their children and their children's children, forever; and My servant David shall be their prince forever. Hoseah chapter 3.... 5. Afterwards shall the children of Israel return, and seek the Lord their God and David their king, and they shall come trembling to the Lord and to His goodness at the end of days. You then ask... "and is he coming from the virgin still." My response.... Virgin? What are you talking about? Nowhere does the Hebrew Scriptures say anything about the Messiah (or anybody else) being born of a virgin. That is a made up story which the new test made up. It is based on pagan ideas. (mithra etc...) Lest you shall claim Isaiah chapter 7 teaches this, I will tell you that this is not so. Isaiah 7 never says such a thing. Only your mistranslations of the Hebrew say this. The actual Hebrew never says this. Even many Christians have been forced to admit this was a bogus translation, so now you find in many copies of different Christian Bibles that they no longer translate the verse in Isaiah 7 as "virgin", but rather as "young woman". Of course they are left with a big problem because they now look stupid because they continue to quote in the book of Matt which states "to fulfill that which it said that a virgin shall give birth to a son". I leave you to contemplate on that. You then ask.... "or are you too involved in laws and earthly things" My response.... Why do you have such disrespect for God's laws? God says that the laws are what makes a person righteous. Do you disrespect that which God says, makes a person righteous? Yes, earthly things.... God put us on this earth & gave His Law to people to deal with things on the earth. Why do you have such disdain for that which God gave His Holy Scripture for? There is a Midrash that when God was about to give His Torah to Moses the angels came before God and said they wanted the Torah to remain in heaven for themselves. God then tells Moses to answer the angels. Moses said to the angels, "the Torah says that "when the ox of a man gores the ox of his friend etc..." Do you angels have oxen?" So yes, we are meant by God to live our lives dealing with the mundane & by doing so according to the way God wishes, we elevate the mundane into the realm of "holy". Finally you state... "you miss the MESSIAH YESHUA! " My response... Every single relevant word of God contradicts the very idea of jesus being the messiah even if one were to accept the narrative of your own new test. So I ask you in response to your above words... How can one miss something that was not there to begin with?

      Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell? PROVERBS 30-4 YAHWEH IS HIS NAME AND YESHUA IS HIS SONS NAME. (YAHWEH) YOU ARE THE LORD (YESHUA) SALVATION FROM YAHWEH Seventeen verses in the New Testament describe Jesus as the “son of David.” But the question arises, how could Jesus be the son of David if David lived approximately 1,000 years before Jesus? The answer is that Christ (the Messiah) was the fulfillment of the prophecy of the seed of David (2 Samuel 7:14-16). Jesus is the promised Messiah, which means He had to be of the lineage of David. Matthew 1 gives the genealogical proof that Jesus, in His humanity, was a direct descendant of Abraham and David through Joseph, Jesus’ legal father. The genealogy in Luke 3 traces Jesus’ lineage through His mother, Mary. Jesus is a descendant of David by adoption through Joseph and by blood through Mary. “As to his earthly life [Christ Jesus] was a descendant of David” (Romans 1:3).
      Primarily, the title “Son of David” is more than a statement of physical genealogy. It is a Messianic title. When people referred to Jesus as the Son of David, they meant that He was the long-awaited Deliverer, the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies.
      Jesus was addressed as “Lord, thou son of David” several times by people who, by faith, were seeking mercy or healing. The woman whose daughter was being tormented by a demon (Matthew 15:22) and the two blind men by the wayside (Matthew 20:30) all cried out to the Son of David for help. The titles of honor they gave Him declared their faith in Him. Calling Him “Lord” expressed their sense of His deity, dominion, and power, and calling Him “Son of David,” expressed their faith that He was the Messiah.
      The Pharisees understood exactly what the people meant when they called Jesus “Son of David.” But, unlike those who cried out in faith, the Pharisees were so blinded by their own pride that they couldn’t see what the blind beggars could see-that here was the Messiah they had supposedly been waiting for all their lives. They hated Jesus because He wouldn’t give them the honor they thought they deserved, so when they heard the people hailing Jesus as the Savior, they became enraged (Matthew 21:15) and plotted to destroy Him (Luke 19:47).
      Jesus further confounded the scribes and Pharisees by asking them to explain the meaning of this very title: how could it be that the Messiah is the son of David when David himself refers to Him as “my Lord” (Mark 12:35-37; cf. Psalm 110:1)? The teachers of the Law couldn’t answer the question. Jesus thereby exposed the Jewish leaders’ ineptitude as teachers and their ignorance of what the Old Testament taught as to the true nature of the Messiah, further alienating them from Him.
      Jesus’ point in asking the question of Mark 12:35 was that the Messiah is more than the physical son of David. If He is David’s Lord, He must be greater than David. As Jesus says in Revelation 22:16, “I am the Root and the Offspring of David.” That is, He is both the Creator of David and the Descendant of David. Only the Son of God made flesh could say that.
      So if you don't know who you are looking for you are truly blind. You should use your knowledge to find understanding in the truth my brother.and wisdom to handle them both when presented to you my brother. don't get your mind distracted on earthly lusts and things that you over look the most important thing.....the FATHER YAH is a spiritual being and perfect in every way. THAT WE CAN AGREE ON. so don't let your carnal thoughts get you confused my brother. LOOK THROUGH YOUR SPIRITUAL EYES ,TO SEE. USE YOUR SPIRITUAL EARS, TO HEAR . Matthew 23:7-10King James Version (KJV)
      7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
      8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
      9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
      10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
      YESHUA LORD OF LORDS MASTERS OF MASTERS! LOVE YOU MY BROTHER! IN THE NAME OF YESHUA ! BIGSMOOZ MAY YAH HELP YOU FIND THE TRUTH SO YOU TOO CAN BE SET FREE. WE ARE ALL SINNERS. IN NEEDING OF REPENTANCE. NOT ONE OF US IS EXEMPT.

      +charles cramer You state.... "Jesus further confounded the scribes and Pharisees by asking them to explain the meaning of this very title: how could it be that the Messiah is the son of David when David himself refers to Him as “my Lord” (Mark 12:35-37; cf. Psalm 110:1)? The teachers of the Law couldn’t answer the question." My response. I know I said that I would not address the rest of your post but I felt I did need to answer this point. He did not confound them with his wisdom. He confounded the Pharisees with his ignorance & stupidity. Of course they couldn't answer his question. His question was bogus. King David never referred to the Messiah as "my Lord". Psalm 110 never says such a thing. & anybody who claims it does is a flat out liar.

    Shapira stated, David was a picture of the Messiah. That is not correct. David was not a picture of the messiah, as if referring to another one. David Ha Melech was the messiah, G-d's anointed. I will continue to listen, but so far its sounds like in most cases an emotional need for acceptance from a wayward life from Torah

      My faith in Yeshua is nothing but an Emotional need. I have spent over 15 years of my life writing "The Return of the Kosher Pig" , I would not call that an Emotional need. I turned every rock within Judaism. I encourage you to pick up this book if you have not done so. Your assessment is far from the truth.

    I must admit he sounds very passionate and very similar to many meshihistim of another group he also makes reference to. Obviously he was influenced to the "robert tilton" cash-evangelists.But almost each passage he cites including the one of Isaiah, Psalms, and other typical passages are with out a doubt influenced by his new found Christian ( messianic) understanding. Jesus, Yeshua or what ever other name one wish to call him, was not the messiah, and the fact is he has not redeemed Israel, nor is he ruling over Israel. Nor has the effect of such a king messiah had an current effect. I understand his journey and sense that he has accepted a "kosher" pig as it were. But as many of our people out of desperation have cleaved to failed messiahs, creating a false salvation for themselves and others. Although Messiah Tarry, we will hold faithfully to the true messiah's arrival when HaShem sends him. Meanwhile the test of decoy messiahs continue to come abate the jewish people until the final day of the war of Gog and Magog, as indicated in Daniel. May we all focus on Hashem and His Torah, and pray for Shapira and all those he is misleading sincerely to a decoy messiah of our people. I invite you to see my video on the faith of Jesus, Judaism.

      You are entitled to your opinion. I will stick with the words of Moshe and Messiah. You claim that I mislead people, it is usually not my habit to respond but I will do so for a moment : It takes more faith NOT to believe that Yeshua is the Messiah than to believe. Show me one thing in the Messianic faith that is unkosher and against the Torah of Moshe, and I will show you hundreds of things in Orthodox Judaism that are against Moshe itself. Deal?

      btw, let me welcome you to a healthy discussion on the issue of the Messiah in the spirit of Judaism. You can write us anytime and have a discussion. I was raised in Judaism, and still practice Judaism. I can support my faith from Judaism, Chasidut, and even Chazal without any issue. I would love to prove you wrong. The Return of the Kosher Pig btw will be a great start.

      BTW, I would love to bring you on the air to my live TV Program to discuss it......I am that secure in my faith. If you read "The Return of the Kosher Pig" you will know that I don't take the Torah lightly, and I am not "another Christian-Jew". My family up to these days are living very active Jewish life as we will remain until Messiah return.....

      btw, your comment about "Robert Tilton" is not appropriate. I am curious, what Torah teach about רכילות? Why the Torah tell us : לֹא-תֵלֵךְ רָכִיל בְּעַמֶּיךָ, לֹא תַעֲמֹד עַל-דַּם רֵעֶךָ: אֲנִי, יְהוָה. If you would have known me, you would have known that I have walked away from Hundred of Thousands of dollars professionally to share the truth from my people. One thing is to disagree, another thing is to slander a Jew that you don't even know. I would be delighted to speak with you, but it has to be under the right spirit of Ahavat Yisrael.
