I've permanently moved this series to this channel because it's going to be long, and definitely fits better/makes more sense here.
First, I've moved this series over to this channel because it makes a lot more sense here than it did on the main, and considering I have to do like 10 more, I wanted it to fit as well as possible.
Second, I made a mistake with the features. The living roster/2K insider was really extensive in 2K9, and I couldn't tell as much because you can't access it anymore. I did some digging and found the trailer for it and I'll explain it further in the 2K10 vid.

I vividly remember the soundtracks playing a key part into the games overall feel. I used to love 2k13s soundtrack and I absolutley 2k15s soundtrack with "Momma used to say". Can you talk about the soundtacks in your next video in the series?
Finally, someone that loves the 2k15 soundtrack. OK 2k14 was a little bit better for me but 2k15 had some good songs also

NBA 2k9 and NBA 2k11 are the last two games in the franchise that I cared about back in my college days
2K9 had a bunch of gameplay and online issues, that's how I found Smoove channel too but it was for his how to effectively use Kobe video because dudes online just drove to the basketball because the game was set to pro difficulty. Even Luke Walton was going 360s and windmill dunks online due to the sliders being crazy. The presentation was the best part of the game for sure outside of KD looking like Shawn Kemp in this game.

My first 2k game. The first team I played with were the Pistons with Billups, Rip, Tayshaun, Rasheed and I think Ben Wallace but he might have been with the Bulls that year. Anyways, great memories.

I’m playing this rn. I still love it. 11 years later. It’s ahead of it’s time. It’s kind of clunky now ofc. But you would still enjoy it as long as you adjust to it’s controls. Nothing is game-breaking IMO. Pretty solid pretty freaking fun game all around after all these years. I played the living heck out of this game. And I’m doing the same rn. It’s so good.

I remember L A X!!! I always got hype when I played a hall of famer. You knew what level of player you were playing as soon as the game tipped off because they had a special icon next ti the player's online name during the game. I was ranked 523 on 2k9, 111 on 2k10, 31 on 2k11(best game ever made) ,and greatest of all time on 2k16. I reached greatest of all time at the age of 41. Unfortunately 2k16 was the last game Ive played because I have arthritis on my right thumb and left index finger. I truely miss playing with my Thunder! My username was Kenloe1935 for PS3 and imover40 when I switched to PS4.

Late to this video but I gotta correct you on the team-up feature never working, g. This was a heavily competitive game mode during that time to where we had tournaments on MLG when it still existed. If you played with randoms, you would sometimes get unplayable games or it crashing like Smoove was saying back than but not to that extent. Playing on private lobbies with people you met and playing against other people’s squads was one of the funnest times we had playing 2K.
I really would appreciate some more historic team reviews, especially the 05 Spurs.

This was my first NBA 2K game. I've played this game so often that I have memorized nearly all the commentator's lines. Still play it occasionally till this very day.

2K9 will forever be my favorite in the series. With that being said, the amount of layups that were missed on a regular basis was insane; just as bad as it is in 2K18.

Going back from the earlier days of this game my brother said to me that this game is the successor of nba live 08, he was very astonished. Funny, little did we know that this game is made by 2k not EA. This is the start of the rise of 2k, we were shock and very impressed with the graphics and realism back then. Good old days. Fact, this game was the first NBA 2k ever released to PC.
I remember getting this on my ps3 not too long after it released and couldn't believe the sixaxxis ft's lol I used to think that was cool

Steve Blake or BRoy to Greg oden was OP in this game cuz of Oden's dunk rating. Blake had a pass of like 90 so I'd cheese my opponents out and make passes through traffic to a cutting oden and spam dunks lmao
2k9 was not ready to be released.
L-A-X was The Game. I know this is purely anecdotal and you don't have to believe me on this, but I got into a 2K8 league with him, and went 1-1 against him. He used a mic, and from his voice it was pretty obvious it was him.
The game was also leading the leaderboards in madden at one point. I loaded in a lobby that he was in and he was a 99ovr like a 3 months ago
