Has people ever wondered why shoes for martial arts training are flat?
    I used to train barefooted.
Your body feels the ground and you can adjust your perception according to the terrain.

Great video!! This is just a great example of how you can be good at one sport, but lack proper technique in another. I've watched a few of their running videos, which are positive in the sense that they encourage strength training to prevent injury in runners. However, I'd already seen some of those videos (like this one) and I'd noticed the really poor technique. I appreciate their intention, but they should definitely work on form. Even using kettlebells, for running you need to work on heavy lifting. With very light weights you'll end up doing just cardio, which you already get from your running. I run 30-40 km a week, so my two strength training days include heavy basics (squats, deadlifts, single leg work) as well as ankle and feet stability, which have been a game-changer for my plantar fasciitis. Kettlebell swings (barefoot!) have also helped a lot with power. Constantly learning thanks to channels like yours. Thanks for your content! ❤

I think, her main problem is that the bell is way too light. A heavy one would automatically enforce correct swing.
And yes, those shoes are an injury begging to happen.

I work at a desk. started doing suitcase carries a few years ago. One of the things I noticed right away was how it helped release my tight upper traps, having poor posture & hunching for many years. She looks to be tight through the upper trap on that side view, as if she is holding the weight higher than need be. The muscle group that would go into burn and then DOMS when I started doing the exercise was the mid traps/rhomboid area on the weighted side & obliques on the other side. Its a tough one because the weight you need for that exercise is far greater than what you should be using for the dynamic lifts. Grip strength is going to be the limiter for most people. Suitcase carry with an 8 kilo bell isn't going to do much for most people. If your not working against gravity to maintain posture & stability, what is it doing? Suitcase carry is nice because you can take one bell on a walk around the block and alternate as you go. Nice way to do some cardio.

Something I'd like for you to do, if you film the exercise clips in relation to the video you are reviewing, is to use the same weight as in the video so you can show the correct form in direct comparison. Yes, 8kg is not much for a swing but, as you say, if a person have the correct technique the swing will look the same no matter the weight. It's the same technique for every weight and the only thing that changes is the power you produce. Keep up the great work!

Funny, as a triathlete I remember when that video came out and I cringed at her form. Because I have always been a gym rat, I knew that was horrible form. Thank you for the video and the entertainment.

Coach one more thing. If yiu notice her rows, the KB is away from her body rather than close or bw her feet. Now this may be ok with a lightweight kb but as she goes heavy she will feel her lower back.

GCN and GTN are great channels for what they do. I devour GCN (Global Cycling Network) for cycling content.
My concern for this particular video is because it is GTN (Global Triathlon Network). All the form/shoes/training goals issues you mention are on point. I would add to that a concern that there's no mention of how the swimming/cycling events (and different demands these events put on the body) need to be factored into the overall training program AND you could either overtrain, injure and/or detract from the other events IF you don't REALLY consider how a power exercise like KB's affect your body.
Tri's are HARD (even the "easy" ones) and - potentially one event actually acts like cross training for the other IMO (swimming is amazingly total body/body weight "strength" training if you are doing hard sprint efforts). KB swings (or any movement) should be REALLY carefully programmed (and properly done) into such a demanding activity.

Bringing the bell up and out too far from your center line is not good, could cause elbow and or shoulder pain. Not using your glutes and hips to drive the bell vs your legs ( like she does in the video) could cause lower back problems, especially if you don't keep your core tight and stable.
