It works with apple earpod. But best work with headphones not with earphones. The battery lasts 2 and half hours. I'm really impressed by its sound quality, very cheap and affordable price. Don't expect to much from it. It can't be compare with those pricy mp3 player.

Surprisingly, it still works today after change the battery. I look for this thing online nowadays, it doesn't have FM radio anymore. So, these old batch is quite rare now.
Just a comment, if you want to use the FM radio you must use your headphones because the cable works as an antenna....You may say,,,,duh, you need to use the headphones, well you can connect your mp3 player to an amplifier so you don't need to use the headphones....Thanks

I bought one identical to this today and I think I have music put on the SD card but I can't figure out how to use the damn thing. You're clicking way too fast for me to catch what you're doing. you can only skip songs. you can't listen while browsing through them and there is no playlist support at all. If you want to find a certain song you will have to skip the rest to see it.

I bought one from an eBay seller and the one they sent me does not have the FM radio function. Also, you can not browse Folders or Files. It's just Song 1 - whatever amount of songs you have on there. You can not see the titles just number of tracks. You have to skip one by one by hearing the songs play. This little unit does not have a Bluetooth function either. You can not view Photos or Videos either. The battery will only last about an hour of play time. If you ask me, I would say this little player is absolutely pointless. It's going straight into my trash can because the seller does not want it back.

However I did see another video on the same mp3 player but it had an entirely different menu system and layout which had a mic menu option. They all use the same set of mass produced shells but can have different motherboard setups but the sellers are never clear on the exact specifications of the boards or device version numbers

you can't use the mic. It is there on the side but the system has no option to use it. you can't record in any ways so don't bother with it.
