    I like the tusk wheel spaces if for nothing else just getting the wheel back on easier without getting hung up on the spacers or having them get knocked out

    I’ve took 3 ktms to 400hrs so far they’ve been extremely reliable.
    2016 ktm 150sx . 5 pistons 1 crank and a wire harness
    2018 Ktm250xc 4 pistons 1 crank
    2019 ktm 250xc 6 pistons 2 cranks and a frame

    350 hours on my TX300 (same as XC300) just doing my second piston and suspension refresh. I opened airbox on rh side, jetted mikuni same as Meg brapp. Runs great. The 2017/2018 really are a great work horse. It's never let me down. Good luck at hammers.

    On the Japanese two strokes, I have run flywheel weights to great advantage. you can almost take off at idle with no throttle. Translates to so much tractability in gnarly sections. It also allows you to do HP upgrades, but not always sacrifice torque because you add physical rotating mass.

      I run a 14oz on my ‘95 CR250R made a huge difference, and easier to ride/race in the woods.

      One of our 87 kx500’s had a weighted flywheel, felt like a 450 on steriods, insane torque at any rpm

    I have a 19 300 XCW among other year bikes and love the 19 the best, which is same as the 18...they really handle nicely. After watching your vid I'm going to keep my 19 forever. I have 200 hours on mine and it looks nice and it's been through a few wars. Great bikes. Thanks for your awesome vid - going to your site now to pick up some goodies.

      awesome! what other bikes do you have? I've had most of the carb years 16, 17, 18, 19, 22. I think the 18 is the best

    Hey Chris, you should try the Evan’s waterless coolant. I’ve never had overheating doing year round riding in slow terrain and it doesn’t expand like antifreeze 🤙

      Doesn't mean it won't cook your internals. I didn't notice a difference in cooling vs engine ice.

    How do riders protect the giant 2 stroke exhaust or do they just replace them? I mean for like getting over logs or dropping on the right side.

    I know it’s expensive, but you could go to an auto clutch temporarily to save your wrist. It’s a godsend if you have any type of arthritic issues like I have. Have one on one of my two WR450’s and it’s great for enduro, especially as the WR’s have cable clutches that require Hulk Force.

      thats true, I've had messed up clutch hands for 2 races maybe I should have a recluse for those days hah. when I try to ride my girlfriends bike with it thought the clutch pull is so hard and really hard for me to ride compared to my normal clutch

    What are your thoughts on the chassis difference between the xc and new gen xcw?
    How is it running the shorter xplor forks on the xc? Doesn’t make the bike unbalanced?

    Would love to see how you mount and secure your pad pack. I bought one but didn't secure it well enough so it bounced around and completely ripped apart after about 10 hours

      When did you get it? I recently started including instructions on the special mounting process I use. I also updated the mounting strap that works super well and beefed up the bag in general with the redesign to take more abuse

    I run a flywheel weight on my 300 18 , really helps not stall as easy it lugs better and i notice i can hold gears longer up hills

    I’ve had a 18 250xc with close to 450 hours since new and it’s been a rock solid bike. Been wanting a new bike but gonna add fork cartridges and do the bottom end instead. Have the keihin 38 with an rk tek head and it’s dialed. Those shroud bungees are nice.

      @@TrailBoundco No it felt fine the last time I did the piston(usually 75-100 hours) just want to do it for preventive maintenance. I race my local desert harescrambles in the A class so can be pretty high on the rpm’s for extended periods on the faster courses.

    Any bottom ends yet? My 17 tx300 at 500hr, main bearing went at 300

    I knew you'd love a keihin 38 once you tried one. We've been liking the 17-19 keihin carb bikes better than the TBI's but maybe that's cause your bike has so many hours? Glad you love the bike.

      I waited to long.. had to try the other options along the way I guess. I like the carb bike better than the TBI. But once the TBI has some custom mapping options it could be really good

      @@TrailBoundco Yeah I bet they'll get the new gen bikes dialed in good. I swapped out the TSP jetting for the JD jetting in the 38 keihin and honestly I like it better. Something to try if you want.

      My buddy has a tbi and he says it’s too hard to hold on to on hard terrain compared to his 18 tx300, plus it had to be towed out of the woods once already

    What TSP insert are you running currently? I ride my 18 300 in very gnarly wet BC trails at sea level and just want the bike to lug better. Have you tried the low comp head? I see lots of pro riders prefer that insert.

      I almost never ride at sea level, lowest is usually 2500ft. so I'm either a high or sometimes in summer at super high elevation I'll run the extra high. the medium feels flat and boring to me but you know if it was super slick it might prevent wheel spin and work better.

    I've only tried the hammerhead shifter once and it kept coming loose. I suppose that's why I never tried one again.

      @@TrailBoundco It comes with anti seize. After the first ride it came loose so the rep told me to use blue lock-tite, still came loose.

    I love your videos and your products but what you said about the master clutch cylinder don't make sense if you put 10 mm master cylinder it will make your clutch lighter the new ktm even come with 11 mm

      I could have messed up the numbers but as far as I know:
      9mm softer but longer pull
      10mm harder but shorter pull

    if you put lower compresion insert, plus flywheel weight, less clutch drag, bike would be almost incapible of stalling XD
    AND you gonna have a HUGE bottom end improvement

    I have a 2014 200 xcw I want to put the 9mm clutch on. The current clutch is a Magura. Will I have to replace the slave cylinder as well? I’m assuming so since it’s a mineral oil system.

      Just need to replace any sealing orings that are meant for dot4-5
      Clean really good beforehand to flush out all the mineral oil

      I dont know much about mineral oil clutches on dirtbike, my trials bike is mineral and its insanely soft. maybe the 9mm won't even be softer than your mineral?

      @@TrailBoundco Copy that. For now I just removed two of the five clutch springs and it seems softer. Just hoping that I won't have slippage due to that. Waiting on getting my suspension back from Finish Line out of Saint George and will test it out soon to see. Appreciate the reply. When will you have bronco straps back in stock for KTM's?

      Why you need to mod a 200 xcw clutch ? Stock it's the best and softest clutch of all time in the industry...just keep it fresh with original parts...

      @@mihaidobrescu7430 I have some serious arthritis in my middle finger and I ride hard enduro where I am constantly pulling it in. Like thousands of time per ride. I need all the help I can get and I have definitely rebuilt and updated parts. It still is a bit stiff for my liking.

    Don’t bother with a flywheel weight, I tried one on my tpi 250 from that bald guy on utube and it made the bike rev really slowly, absolute waste of money.
