Yes! Exactly. So much effort goes into housekeeping and once you see it all written down in one place, you really gain a lot respect for all the work that goes into it.
Use your breaks at work to do some admin things you would normally try to squeeze in the evenings. Don’t do all that when you get home. You’re tired and ready to relax. Meal plan on a 15 min break on wednesdays or whatever. Make your phone calls on your 15 min break on another day. Have an assigned day for it though so you aren’t haphazardly doing random things over your breaks.
I love the way you break this all down. So helpful. And I love that your afternoon routines are just lunch and water... for a working mom that's so wonderful to see because I can't do housework when I am at work...so knowing there is a way to work in this system to someone who is out of the house from 9-6 is helpful. :)
Flylady Kat on RUclips walks you through how to do the flylady system of you are a working person outside the home. She goes live every Saturday but also has archived ones. Thanks for showing what works for you too!!
Enjoyed your video 🤗 it helps giving some pointers to the Flylady system and get an idea of how you want to break it down into the days of the week. Thanks for sharing.🏡🏵️🌸
Glad it was helpful! I enjoy learning about the program and FL has such a warm and supportive community. I gain a lot of information just from readying the comments left on the videos.
Thanks for letting me know about this video. Your video was a good version of the fly lady system, you did really well at simplifying. But I think I’m going to stick to my routine tbh. I have amnesia and loose track of days so I need to do something different each day of the week so that I notice time passing so I theme my days by room or task rather than cleaning my sink in the kitchen and the toilet every night. I do that as I use it or before guests come. I also don’t have the energy for decluttering and organising on top of cleaning so I just pick a week when I have less mail to do or less laundry to balance it out. I always felt that the fly lady system reminded me of the story about Mary and Martha and it very much feels like Martha and I only have the energy of Mary lol.
My pleasure and that makes total sense! You seem to have a good handle on things and I appreciate you taking the time to watch and provide feedback. I am not familiar with the Mary and Martha story - I will need to research it!
Stephanie S it’s a bible story, Martha is rushing around the house while Jesus is visiting their house and complains to Jesus that her sister is sitting at His feet and Jesus honours Mary for spending time with Him as that is more important.
For me to follow this schedule it would mean getting up at 5am and either not getting any time to sit and unwind before bed or going to bed at 11pm which won't give me enough sleep. I don't get home from work until 6.30-7pm most nights and by that time I'm literally too physically and mentally exhausted to be able to even cook dinner or do dishes. If I did all this cleaning every night which I'd love to do then it would cause my adrenal fatigue and autoimmune immune condition symptoms to flare up and that would cause literally take me at least a month to recover from
@@fourleaf8055 I make sure I get the dishes done each night and shine my sink. Then I make sure I put the dishes away before work each morning. If I achieve that alone, I'm happy
I know quite a few FlyLady diehards watch here. If there is something you would add or adjust, please let the other viewers know! We are all in this together!
I have to be at my job at 7am.. as in clocked in ... sometimes I work a part time job from 5am to 6am from home then go to work... there is just zero way I can get chores done in the morning... i am having a hard enough time taking my dogs to go potty in the morning.
With that schedule I bet you do! If you need help re-working the schedule, I'd be happy to help! We are moving this week, but I will have plenty of time next week to really get into it. Email if you are interested!
I feel your struggle! While mine isn't like yours something that helps me is to make my bed in the morning, swish and swipe the bathroom while I'm getting ready (I keep a toilet brush submerged in soapy water next to the toilet and just use that, I wipe the counter top and potty quick with a spray of vinegar) after supper do the dishes! Just those 3 tasks every day make a huge difference for me! Look into the home blessing hour too and implement on a day where you have time....if you have extra energy or time one day spend 15-30 minutes (or 5) and do a quick declutter of the things you see (hotspot) set a timer and be done! A load of laundry a day is a game changer too! Depending on how much you have, even if it's small, get it started right when you get home, throw it in the dryer before bed and the next day put it away and start a new load right when you get home.
This is helpful! It shows how hard it is to hold a household when you work. Especially if you want to go on weekend trips frequently.

You just made my morning! I made this video to help working parents interested in giving this program a try! I’m glad you got something out of it!
I LOVE your short videos! Cause let’s face it, there’s so much to do!
Thank you! I try and keep them to the point!

I just love Flylady Kat! She has a really terrific community as well. Thank you for the tips you provided and for taking the time to help others.
Thank you 🙏
Also good for just a busy season of life, like sports season with the kids, or caregiving, etc.

This was the simplest breakdown I’ve seen. Thanks!
Thank you! I hope it help you jump start her program!
I really love the way you have organised everything. Looking forward to learn so much more :)
Keep posting!
Thank you! I'm working on my next video right now! :)
Good breakdown. You have a beautiful kitchen.
Thank you! I loved that kitchen. We moved several months ago and I’d like to remodel my current kitchen after it!

I think that is a good reminder for us all to enjoy the moments and time we are given. Have a nice rest of the weekend!
Great video, thank you for breaking it down.
My pleasure!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! 💖💖💖
You are so welcome!
This is great. Thank you! It's so nice to do Flylady without all her drama.
No problem 😊

I also find it very challenging to accomplish everything in the fly lady lists. How do you manage then?

Beautiful home!
Thank you!
This might be one of the best working mom ideas I’ve heard for FlyLady. How can I purchase the PDF of the list that you have, it is cute & simple?
If you email me at mygreigehouse@gmail I will send it right over! Thank you!
@@StephanieSMGH Thanks. I tried email it kicked it back. My email is kimberlyexum@gmail.com. Thanks so much!!!
