  • These Plate Storage bench seats are amazing.
They make the gym so neat and we will definitely be building more of them!
I got the design from Greg Everett from Catalyst athletics. If you are looking for the imperial metrics they can be found here.
    www.catalystathletics.com/art...
For the metric measurements, they are:
    2x 450x1200mm 20mm ply
    1x 450x1200mm 12mm ply
    4x 470mm long 90x90mm
    6x 470mm long 70x35mm
    3x 230mm long 70x35mm
    1x 450x1200mm foam
    Vinyl - I bought 1.9 meters and it did 3 bench’s
    Screws and staples!

This is amazing! I just brought plates and didn't think about storage. I'm Melbourne based and you just made my job so much easier and Lockdown more bearable. Cheers Mate

I’m glad you enjoyed it. They are quite comfortable too. I bought the foam from Clark rubber in Frankston. It was expensive but I didn’t bother to shop around so surely can find some cheaper!

    Hi Chris,
Where'd you get all your materials from? and how much did it all cost?

Hey mate, I bought the ply from in2ply in Carrum Downs Melbourne. That was $96 (including cuts), I had all the screws but I’d say $5-15 there. The remainder of the timber was from Bunnings, maybe $50-100. The foam and the material was the most expensive. I can’t remember but off the top of my head it was $150 for foam and material, maybe $200.
I think I estimated each chair cost me $120-140
