The sponge trick is definitely something I’m gonna try. I have 8 baby sidewinders I need to force feed and was wondering how I was going to go about it all without taking a bite lol. Thanks for posting this man.
Heyyy man! Amazing I'm happy I could help and congrats on the side winder babies! They take super easy tho. I had a new born that was assisted about 2-3 times. After that they where making day old pinkies
@@Undisputedreptiles that’s good to know, it was a pain to force feed those little guys. Sponge trick worked with 4 of them but the other 4 gave me too much trouble so I ended up just grabbing them behind the head and hoped for the best lol. But all 8 are fed now and hopefully will start growing big enough to take pinkies. Thanks again brotha!
This video was very helpful, I had a young schlegelii and insularis that refused food for months and when we tried this method they started crushing food a couple feedings later! Thank you so much for the informative video on how to do this safely
@@Undisputedreptiles well now that you mention it, I'm really into keeping European vipers from the genus vipera. But to my disappointment there are little to none videos about breeding these snakes on RUclips. You wouldn't possibly own any of these species or have any knowledge about breeding them? That would be a video I'd greatly appreciate!
@@marijnvanharrewijn1724 unfortunately i dont have any euro vipera but i know a couple things. Send me a dm on ig with questions you have and ill help out
Have you ever tried to put a glove on and pick them up and just lightly restrain there head between tumb and hand , they'll bite because they get mad and usually its quite easy to put pinky part in and because they get mad they bite so good they can't let go anymore. ( just construction glove is fine with those vogeli baby's) it's stress ok but assistfeed also. I use both methods but do find it easier to just grab them and being able if needed to push the pinky part little more In . Than I just let them eat on the glove and saves me many time because it seems like I don't have to do it over and over everytime they drop it .
@@Undisputedreptiles just wanted to ask if i have a house gecko baby is that enough for a new born viper for a 2-3day or do i need less like half a gecko baby for it
@@Undisputedreptiles so should i feed one gecko baby per meal so is the head of the baby gecko enoigh and if it want more i try feeding a bit of the body or more? Can it handle a full baby gecko
