San Diego: I-905 Vehicle Fire 05182024

Two men were driving west on the I-905 in their SUV when the engine started to act up. The driver pulled over, and a fire started in the engine compartment. The two men got out of the vehicle to safety.
When firefighters arrived, the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. They had just put out the fire when the gas tank ruptured, causing the gas to start leaking and re-igniting the fire.
At least two explosions occurred while the firefighters attempted to control the fire. Finally, the foam was used to put the fire out. Caliente Ave was closed to all traffic for over one hour.

Just a guess , Temporary fuel tank leaked & caught fire , original fuel tank is filled with fentanal.
