He never cemented them together!!! What a waste of time this was.
After almost 4 minutes, didn't even show the application of cement.
I wanted to know how long to wait between the primer and the glue - you didn’t say.
So you just primer? If not how do you apply the cement?
Primer should still be wet when you apply solvent glue. Should not be allowed to dry
I have the same question as many of us came here to see how we have to finish. Why he did not finish???? Was he on the clock for his 8hr and another video next day to cement?
How bout putting the parts together? Where glue both pieces? What?
Hmmm. You show what I think I should use: purple and red. Lowes sold me: (Purple label) Primer and (Red label) All-purpose Cement. ACE sold me: (Yellow label) Clear Cleaner and (Goldish label) Regular Clear PVC Cement. And Oatey HQ told me: I did not need the (Yellow label) Clear Cleaner, but I did need the (Purple label) Primer and preferably the (Goldish label) Regular Clear PVC Cement--so one from Lowes and one from ACE. Do you think the same?
You often see others slobber on Purple then go directly to slobbering on Cement. Agree or should there be a pause between applications?
Do you shake the primer before use? Do you shake the cement before use?
he didnt do the thing. why
Best not to lay that pipe down on the table or floor after cleaning ...might get some specks of dirt or debris in the primer. Wouldn't be good.
Thanks
Alright. I'm a plumbing Superintendent. A lot of this shit is stupid and don't listen to.
All you need to use is the primer to get the pipe cleaned up and soft. You don't need to shake the excessive off, some.people do some people don't. As for the glue being conservative can make it not a strong adhere between the hubs so slap a good bit and give tbe fitting a quarter turn and you're good to go.
My guy, using sandpaper to get your burrs off and lightly abrading the edges for a premium fit would be optimal. Scraping it with a giant blade can create more jagged edges than what you're trying to fix.
How did you even open the cans to begin with?
I used pliers lol
Pipe wrench lol they’re tight af
Use one of those keys they give you for free to open paint cans. Yeah, not intuitive. Tried twisting one open for like 5 min before I went to RUclips to look it up.
What a cheapskate never showed the glue. Sometimes its too thick in the can due to shelf life
waist of time
Primer is not necessary.
it is, I have have not used primer in the past and the joints would pop apart so I would use primer and the joints were strong and leak proof.
@@jacksplumbingvideos7147 ok thank you.
