Spartan company: kicks brutalisk.
Stetman: mm yes very good. will research.
So we can surmise that the research is in fact INSIDE the zerg!
stetman 1 minute later enjoying brutalisk bbq: Im going to eat it!
Can you kick the brutalisk?
Yes.
Research complete.
Stetman really got a kick out of that one.
The zerg attacking grant IRL is the best part of the video
the broodling wants his revenge
He's abused bugs for too long, now they're out for REVENGE
"I'll keep American healthcare!"
1.5 minutes later...
"Why are we so poor?"
Something I'm not sure Grant noticed is that the SCVs all followed the HERCules when it was carrying the orbital. if the buildings work from within the Herc then thats nuts
Imagine if you could lift up bunkers, and they'd shoot from the cargo space.
amazing
Imagine lifting bunk bunkers and both shoot
Also does the tassadar teachings affect them?
Yeah first thing came to mind when I saw that the hercules could pick up buildings is what if you make a ton of missle turrets dive the mothership with the herc, so you could essentially just spawn a ton of missile turrets under it, but if buildings work from the inside you don't even have to drop them.
Planetary fortresses with planets…
Because you didn't drop a depot on Kerrigan in this mission, please depot drop her at least once in All-In
14:10 For math, that mothership is doing 1400 DPS in 10 range :)
fun fact, it's actually 1344!
the reason is because weapon speed can only go as fast as game ticks, which is 0.0625 (1/16th of a second) seconds.
so the real math would be 14 multiplied by 6, giving you 84, divided by 0.0625 rather than 0.06 (SC2 doesn't like to show more than 2 decimal places)
@@ZerakimSC2 That's neat!
The fact that you made all of your mech units organic means that Spore Crawlers completely wreck your air units. It feels like a straight up nerf in Zerg missions.
I don't think they have that in WoL
Protoss archons have bonus vs bio too
yeah the spore anti bio damage was a hots thing so unless the modmakers manually changed it it shouldn't be a probem
So that's why the phoenixes melted his diamondbacks
@@Enkelados35 no, phoenix has bonus vs light, not bio units
After the orbital kidnap by the Hercules I legit thought that Grant would ferry the entire basw into the other edge of the map.
It also enables planetary drops without the need for the liftup research.
@@joshuakim5240 waaaaitamoment... What if we load in like 50 supply depos with depo bombardment? Or with Tassadar's protocol?
@@petrowegynyolc7108
My god...let this man keep on cooking.
Grant: "Hercules can I have my Orbital back?"
HERCules: "Oke."
my theory on the research gained without killing the brutalisk is when kicked, the unit or building counts as non existant/non targetable, so the game understood that the brutalisk was ''dead'' at that moment.
I figured the research gain is triggered when there is no longer a brutalisk on the island. When it got kicked, it was temporarily no longer on the island, so the research gain triggered.
@@CowCommando makes sense, which would also mean that if tosh picked it up, it would also give the research?
@@gigachadbosnianknight if that's how it's programed and how Tosh's ability works, yes.
yeah you're pretty much spot on
in editor jargon, the Spartan Company Kick uses a Launch Missile effect. This effect can use what is known as an Ammo Unit
The thing about this, is that the unit is classified as dead upon impact, which is a default behavior of what a Launch Missile effect does (unless you change the Death field of the Launch Missile effect in the editor to be something else)
@@ZerakimSC2 I see, thank you for the precision
I feel like a better viking meme would be for it to have a "berserk" button, where it'd get massive buffs but you'd loose control over it and it'd just run around and shoot things for like 10 seconds.
New ability, I like it.
Jayborino's min...don't care
My sides LMAO
The reaction of the HERCules inhaling the Orbital gave me an instant flashback to StarCrafts and the Medivac squeezing a tank and a Marine inside.
I wonder how it looked inside the HERCules when the Orbital hit the cargo bay.
Pure comedy gold. 😂
I wonder if loading a butt-ton of missile turrets into the herc and dropping those under the mothership is a viable strat
14:50 Come on Grant, we did the in-laws in S1E1 we wouldn't have had batten an eye.
It would be somewhat shameful to hear that Giant Grant has a little D. ;-)
broodlords medivacs and turning purifier from 200k to 350 in an instant.....I cant stop laughing
I wish vikings got a lost vikings meme on them instead of just switching attacks.
Like "Oh you start with 3 vikings, you can't make any more, each of the vikings has a different ability, you can only make another 3 vikings if the initial 3 die" and then you'd have a melee viking, a ranged viking and a defensive viking.
There is at least a small Lost Vikings reference. When you use the Valhalla ability you get one less Viking than actually died because that one gets lost.
I would have totally gone the longboat solution. Vikings would be three times as expensive and be deployed by longboat, where they all get out and start attacking like a carrier, the longboat would sit back and some minerals from the Vikings kills would be given back to the boat, dropping pickups around the map. When combat ends Vikings would return to the longboat and the longboat gets a speed buff.
But that's just my take on the Vikings exploring the map. Frankly Vikings having super long range in ground mode sounds helpful to defense missions.
It should be one viking and it can switch its (air to air) weapon with the different powerups from the Lost Viking minigame.
On the ground it's a melee unit with a battle axe.
Honestly I wished they completely swapped Vikings attack, so you got a missile based anti air while landed and a hitscan based anti ground while flying.
9:06 so yeah to explain, the spartan company kick turns the brutalisk into what is known as an Ammo Unit in the editor (basically a projectile/missile), when this happens, the unit is classified as dead upon reaching its impact location, which is why the bonus objective marked as complete
another example of this would be the Artanis' Lightning Dash in Legacy of the Void, which is where this form of "launching" units really took off (which is why this isn't a problem in that one mission where you play as Artanis and other protoss heroes, because blizz prolly put some failsafe in there to prevent objectives from failing on Artanis death).
this has been fun editor facts with zerakim
The zerg (and probably protoss) research gives The Funny Numbers in credits after all the lab tech is filled out. Nice, that's like 4x as much as normal xD
Correct!
I love how this campaign project is singlehandedly proving that, yes, it is, in fact, completely true that we've only scratched the surface of what you can do with SC2's editor.
I want to try and implement a streaming economy now, just a tiny bit.
Grant found a pacifist way to get the research out of the Brutalisk
That thumbnail is crazy
It made me think this episode is about Nova's version of that mission.
After the Spartan company kicked the extractor, I am wondering if you can kick your own refinery to bring it closer to your CC, or even kick your CC to your minerals
Well okay, Grant, fine, you can beat this massive air unit somewhat normally, but I hope you realise this means you're obligated to vaporize the Leviathan by ramming it with Dave's Divine Depot Spam until it dies.
Such a lost opportunity to apply Tassadar's tactics here...
Yeah I think Grant forgot he had it (did he have it? it was played form the archives).
@@martinhorenovsky5016 Maybe not. At least I didn't see any special buttons on lifted buildings, so it is either absent here or it works without UI changes somehow
@@YarikTH it adds a button, you see the button on the morb-ius misison
16:53 In Meme campaigns, bugs become features!
Dukie appearing to remind you the meaning of studying tactics was not on my bingo list but glad it happened. THIS AIN'T MONOBATTLES SON!
"Hercules? Can I have my orbital back!?"
Hercules: "Okay!" :D
I half expected the Purifier to just be the real scale Purifier, but now it had to be taken down with non real scale units haha.
Hercules carrying free tassadar manouver command centres could be fun
The alternative to Terratron is turn all your depots into Nydus channels.
Combined with depot-drop, that could be a pretty powerful strat.
Now we need special "GGG MODE" code for viking mission where it plays but buffs mothership instead :D
4:59: BE NOT AFRAID
24:41: Certified Clown Car moment
Love how the extra research items were sold for 42069 credits.
The middle settlement of the second mission is a smiley face on the minimap
your welcome
Silly Grant, everyone knows there's no OSHA in space.
HERCules mass dropping planetaries sound amusing given the incident with picking up one of your orbitals
"What is the OSHA inspectre doing with the Hammer of Sulfuras?"
One of the questions of all time.
Remember that when anything "jumps", it "dies", gets launched as a projectile, and "spawns" again at the ending location, same issue with raptorlings and the dead zergling counter in that other campaign thing.
24:40 Reminds me of the Virtual Insanity meme where someone just slides near you and casually takes your shit.
3:18 the war crime guy with the cute dog called bug :D
The amount of effort that went into this mod is incredible. That everything works remarkably well is just insane!
Paused on the Inspectre, writing at 10:37
In summary:
Can inspect buildings to improve their efficiency
Can fail an inspection deliberately to deal 80% of it's total health as damage
Can summon a Court Order that deals damage in a massive AoE, stuns for 2 seconds (as those hit with it process the paperwork)
Edit: ...Were the SCV's following the Hercules when it accidentally ate the command center? C-Can you use the HERC to house a CC to make a truly mobile mining force?
I think the scv's were trying to go to his main cc to return cargo
That you think you could have beaten it (which is probably true, I'm not being sarcastic) just makes it so much funnier, they basically weaponized your disappointment with boss battles.
This series isn't even over yet, and I already can't wait for Heart of the Meme!
I wonder if you can use the Ragnarok button to get over supplies in vikings? If so, you could launch suicide squads of vikings all through the mission and at the end spawn them so you have a massive air force to fight the mothership.
Thanks for the memes! ^^
Cant wait for Davey's video of "Can you beat Starcraft with only OSHA inspectors?"
the "Marines- we are leaving" is not a reference to COD4 MW? nice
The OSHA Inspector damaging the buildings reminds me of the Command & Conquer Red Alert Engineer / Invasor. Back then to conquer a building, it must have been damaged into the red, only then could you take control of the enemy building. Until then each invasor damages a portion of the building's hitpoints. So to conquer a building you needed a transporter full of 5 invasors. So they would run in one by one, turning the structure more and more into a ruin, until the last one finally goes in and says: This ruin is now officially yours, commander. And then if you had another invasor their second function was to heal your own buildings to full hp again.
The later C&C games made the Engineer way stronger so that one is enough to conquer your construction yard, so you had to be really careful about transporters near your base.
Do you happen to play some Command & Conquer sometimes? Sadly, the campaign is not as easily customizable as Starcraft, so I'm not sure how many good mods are out there.
They nerfed engineers in red alert, in tiberian dawn they just instantly capture buildings
Dustin Browder covered the Mothership in destructible rocks until it couldn't hold anymore
I wish grand had more free time to really enjoy the memes. Feels like he is in a rush to present us these cool thing so we can play with them on our own.
That was some fun explorations with Hercules! :D
Thanks for the video!
The 124 david easter egg
Where'd you study tactics boy?!
Viking idea:
You can only build one which gets called the Lost Viking. Random powerups spawn on the map, allowing it to upgrade, there's some sort of life system and stuff. Essentially, adapt the Lost Viking minigame to the campaign.
"Dude, we're OSHA'N"
OSHA'N's Eleven maybe?
Hercules planetary combo would be hilarious
27:27
I saw it coming!
The moment we saw the HP on the Mothership, and having already seen its damage output and having the hard counter (Viking) being trashed, it was obvious.
I wonder if killing the infested colonists would have played Arial's "those are innocent civilians" voice line, but pulled up her infested portrait.
Disturbing biosteel made spores so good
Missed opportunity to have the Terratron 1v1 the boss mothership. But we still have the leviathan :)
I think that wouldn't been possible, as the unlock was after he did Haven's Crawl
I mean we still have tje Mothership in Maw of the Void.
Might happen there if we are lucky.
no, he has to use ramming depots against the leviathan.
Man i hope Grant gives this campaign a 2nd playthrough so he has hopefully a better idea of his unit compositions
While probably annoying, it would be funny if the "Good old fashioned discipline" message came with an enemy siege tank spawning at your mineral field. (I guess it could drop minerals on defeat to try and counteract the nuisance?)
Man youre such a good gamer you beat live itself
24:42 _hahahahahahahahahahaha_ , I was not expecting any of that, lmao
That wasn't a bug. it was a Broodwar Scourge Flying into Grant's face. But as we know GIANT grant, takes em' like it's nothing... Bro has immunity to Flying attacks, exploding attacks, acid, and memes.
How familiar are you all with Heroes of The Storm? Because I was half expecting the viking to be TLV's boat ult for aerial mode and random Erics, Olafs, and Baelogs for grounded mode lol
oh that woulda been sweet
Omg that tooltip bugfix is A+!
And the game calling out the Davids put me over the edge.
just noticed that selendis makes mini carriers lmao
I like that the OSHA inspector's one ability smiley face reminds me of Edward from Cowboy Bebop :P
That Pooooph though hahahaha
5:36
STAND BACK TERRANS, I'M BEGINNING TO MORB
If depots can teleport, I will teleport Bread!
Immediately discarding Jay Borino's Mind Control upgrade was the funniest s*it, but that's not saying the rest of the episode was light on jokes either XD
Nydus worm >Meme> Midus worm. It's just a gold worm. XD
I would have thought the Viking would shoot ground in its air mode and shoot air in its ground mode.
When you will use full depo set up remember to look thru every research there are some more
Just finished grants 3 hour stream to come here and watch more grant
Thought: you could spartan company kick a refinery next to cc for faster mining
Anyone else notice the tiny carriers with big interceptors in the closing cutscenes?
They should make a Tosh Heist mission: "OSHAs 11".
Orca should work for Bethesda. After all, it is not a bug, it is a feature. It just works.
I wonder how much damage the Tassadar take the wheel research makes buildings do; you might be able to kill it before the cutscene.
Why am I so poor in minerals? welll, it turns out that mules only gathering gas nerfs the terran economy hard.
HERCules is going to be really good for banshee mission
10:55 Wow, Grant, you really gonna do your best friend Jay like that?
I would too, because TerraTron.
Is there enough memes for version 2 for all races
Grant do be liking the OSHAn man
Btw the Morbius foundation gives you 420,69 credits per relic/sample
You completely missed how Jayborino's Mind Emulator allows your depots to work as a nydus
Something he didn't mention about Dustin Browder, the Hercules pilot is based on him.
Wow, for once in my life, I'm actually happy to see OSHA.
TerraTron needs to be used to fight like the mothership bosses or the leviathan for the ultimate boss vs boss battle
Who wants to tell Grant that the reason why he's so poor is because he had American Healthcare and Bio-Steel both active at the same time?
i think vikings should get a fiking funeral when they die, and turn into an aoe of fire damage
Thank you
LMAO the mothership thing
I have accidentally single handedly destroyed the retention rate on this video.
I hope you won't forget the siege depots! :D
It's not a bug, it's a feature. -Ocra
