A delicious recipe for Lamingtons with Chocolate Sauce
A lamington is an Australian cake made from squares of sponge cake coated in an outer layer of chocolate sauce and rolled in desiccated coconut.
Ingredients:
For the sponge cake:
4 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup (170g) Cake / all purpose flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1/4 cup (57g) Butter, melted
chocolate sauce:
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup milk, warm
1/3 cup cocoa powder
2 cups Icing sugar
For decorating:
desiccated coconut
