What I love about this scene is the caution Irene/Ilena learned to have towards her comrade's awakening and limits. Because in the past, her carelessness lead Priscilla to awaken and consequently got her entire execution squad wiped by an awakend Priscilla.
She cut off her own arm with only a flinch..that takes some severe will & balls of steel.. Irene is a badass in her own right. Fun Fact: Irene states she can regrow her arms but they'd be normal human ones.. she'd no longer be a warrior.. essentially what she just did was pass on EVERYTHING onto Clare like a Sensei/Master does to their Student/Pupil ,
What Claymore really needs is a remake, where the anime stays closer to the manga. I mean, Claymore anime ended abruptly. I don't ask for a 100% faithful copy, but one as true to the manga as possible. That, in my opinion, is what Claymore really asks for, so it can thrive. I'd love to see that, obviously with some few changes to ad a little extra "flavor", because that's what makes anime to be exactly that: anime. Then again, it's just what I think.

Clare didnt meet Raki until 7 years i think where they ( the survivors) hid their yoki and trained to become stronger. It was only until then when they came out of hinding when they met priscilla and clare got her ass kicked.
???? bla Clare and co defect from the Org, almost everyone notable that isn’t a Claymore died to either Priscilla (Riful) or from Org machinations (Isley), Rafela and her sister merge into a giant destroyer thing, Priscilla eats it, Miria get many of the Organization Claymores to defect, Organization revives former high ranking warriors, most of them die besides Cassandra, big ass battle between Priscilla and what appears to be the child/fusion of Riful and Dauf that’s able to fight at a similar level to Priscilla and Clare and co plus a bunch of high ranking awakened beings vs Cassandra. Priscilla kills the Riful thing and eats everyone including Cassandra and the awakened beings. Clare turns into Teresa by awakening, Teresa goads the assimilated awakened beings into fighting her “with honor” rather than being a pawn of Priscilla. Cassandra fights and dies against Teresa, the other awakened beings attacks Priscilla and dies. Teresa curbstomps Priscilla and tearfully says goodbye to Clare. The end.

She having such a steadfast mission of killing teresa... only to turn and help Clair, including giving her an arm, makes her one of my favorite claymores. Does she ever realize the connection that Teresa and clair have? Does she remember that clair was there at the time of Teresa's death?
lol she DOES, that's what makes her arc special is that she changed as a person and grow to be more understanding and has more empathy, that's why she abandoned the organization and ended up helping Clare. She admired Teresa greatly but was too devout to the organization like a religion almost. But then she started to question the organization and broke free, kind of like people who were raised super religious their whole life and then get educated and find out it's all bullshit and break free. That's what happened to Irene.

There are 2 types of claymores: offensive and defensive. Offensive can only reattached their lost limbs for a certain time. If they wait for too long, they cant reattach. While defensive claymores can regenerate and reattach their lost limbs.
