Well said Mark. Telling it how it is. Anyone dismissing Klopp's quality is just making themselves look stupid or incredibly bitter. Don’t be surprised to see Salah sign a new contract in the coming weeks as well. He said it wasn’t about money. Maybe it was about the uncertainty around Klopps future.
Nah, proly the length of the contract, maybe FSG offering 400K for short term but Salah wants to retire here and FSG don't wanna pay Salah 400K beyond his thirties, his agent is the problem wanting 400K for Salah in the years over 35 which FSG don't agree with
Why would he leave when the LFC board is fully behind him backing and supporting him and his project. And to watch how the team is performing and keep on improving, it's obviously understandable he wants to push himself to achieve the highest as possible. Well done FSG.
Don’t think it was ever a case of him not feeling supported. FSG would never and will never fire Klopp, it was simply a matter of whether he wanted a break from management or not. As it turns out he still has the fire so the decisions was easy for all parties.

Immense timing of this announcement. Such great news i think it could give everyone an extra few % going into this critical period in our history. I also believe salah will now sign in the coming weeks following his manager
I’m a Liverpool fan and I hope at some point United can rebuild with Ten Hag, I think that would be great for us as well because then it would give Klopp even more of a reason to stay past 2026, realizing that our biggest rivals are coming back, I believe he wouldn’t be able to turn down the opportunity and the challenge.
It's not that we don't appreciate comparisons to Ferguson. We all know what Ferguson was at United and to football history, it's just that we want Klopp to have his own legacy. Klopp staying in the PL keeps things competitive. No one wants City to have it all their own way...unless you are City fans.
@@charliemartn Klopp and Guardiola set the standard but there's room for other PL clubs to challenge and hopefully keep the English teams dominant in Europe.

Thanks Klopp for all you have done for our club and the pride and joy you have given us! Great news you have decided to stay for longer. So good, Klopp has changed the culture of the premier league. Getting praise from rival fans, even liked by rival fans. That’s our boss, he’s here to stay❤️
Fun fact (not for United fans): a few months into Klopp joining Liverpool, Ferguson told Carragher that he’s worried because Klopp is special (aka worried he’ll put them back ‘on their perch’). Carragher told the story on one of the Sky podcasts; back in 2016 Ferguson felt what would be coming when Liverpool weren’t even a very good team. He knew I personally had a feeling Klopp would extend by a year, not two years- I also think it’ll be his last job and he’ll retire from club football; this extension means he still thinks there’s a lot to achieve with the current setup and incoming players. I think they’ll get a prodigy in the next year or two, like Bellingham; no doubt having Klopp and his team stay helps Liverpool’s transfer targets significantly, esp. with players still early in their career who invest in the plans of the coach
@@phoenix2225 like Pep wants to manage Spain, i believe they want world cup and then might return to club football again. Its football man no body wants a break. I might cross 60 in the next 30 years but will always dream of kicking that ball in the net ehh!!!
Goldbridge wanted Klopp to sign with Manchester United. Klopp has such a good thing here with FSG and Henry. Unless he is retiring why would he consider anything else! as for Pep, he is the 'Heir Apparent' so unless there is a huge offer on the table, why would Pep leave?
it wouldn't collapse the club. Its all about recruitment. Liverpool have always had good mangers, Rodgers, Rafa, Houlier.. Klopp is obviously a great and irreplaceable but the squad and culture has been built by better business on and off the field. This never happened before!
Really wise words. Mark's super intelligent and clever when he's not raging at FIFA, or Manchester United's performance. He'll probably do a better job as a manager than Ralf is right now.
I can't imagine Pep leaving even if City win the CL. The only place it makes sense for him to go is to Italy, because he hasn't already achieved nearly everything there, or into national team management with Spain. Would be funny to see him and Mourinho in the same league again though. If anything, I think Pep should go to an Atalanta or a smaller team and see if he has the chops to lead a team to success without the checkbook. At Barcelona, Bayern, City, he's lead teams that should be expected to win or challenge for titles anyways to titles, but I'm not sure that he's lead teams like your Liverpools or your Dortmunds who without a world class coach are not title challengers. If he can turn a "lesser" club into a title machine, I feel like that's going to cement him as one of the best ever more than winning a CL at City (or even PSG).
Best thing about this is that klopp wouldn’t sign on if he knew he wasn’t going to be backed in the market hopefully we can consistently challenge city from now on and set up for the future
Best and most realist way to destabilize Liverpool would be to hire away his assistants and scouts via better opportunities. Aka, head coach positions and more money.
@@mitchelljack1590 Honestly, I'm not sure how the fanbase would react when he goes through slump like he's having now as as one of the highest-paid players in the world.
I'm a MU fan. Thank God Klopp extends. I would hate to see Liverpool go down and MU are able to beat them just because there is no more Klopp. If we are to beat them, then it's Klopp or nothing.
I see your point. That's why comparisons between managers across history is almost impossible. Ferguson was the master of his era and we want Klopp to be the master of his own. If United are to challenge us and City then it can't be properly validated if neither Klopp or Guardiola are present.
Liverpool have 2x things going for them: Klopp and City. City is a huge part of our quality. We've had to be excellent at all times to keep up with them. And we've pushed City. So let me say this: Klopp at Liverpool is a great thing for United. If United get their ducks in order, they can be in with that mix, pushing, like City and Liverpool, to be fearless of anyone else across the world. Jurgen is amazing, and he is far more important than any player. He has taken poorer 2nd/ 3rd, and youth teams and used them during really challenging times. How many clubs have the fans singing a song about their manager every game? 'Ole at the Wheel' was very special song, used in special circumstances.

Getting kloop to sign a new contract is totally caught off guard to me it is THE SIGNING OF THE CENTURY.I wonder will he the best paid manager.if liverpool to win the quadruple it will the greatest achievement in EPL HISTORY. Thk you God for granting mine wishes as well as the YNWA FANS
If LFC win the quadruple it won't just be the greatest achievement in EPL, it will be the biggest "in your face" moment to oil tycoon club
As far as a I read there was no salary change
Klopp as turned Liverpool into a powerhouse
I as a Liverpool fan i liked Alex and the respect the players had with him i hated him but also respected him and what he did
Klopp just fits Liverpool and im so glad he is ours
Immense timing of this announcement. Such great news i think it could give everyone an extra few % going into this critical period in our history. I also believe salah will now sign in the coming weeks following his manager
I’m a Liverpool fan and I hope at some point United can rebuild with Ten Hag, I think that would be great for us as well because then it would give Klopp even more of a reason to stay past 2026, realizing that our biggest rivals are coming back, I believe he wouldn’t be able to turn down the opportunity and the challenge.
O emi da✋👍
Respect for you my man
i agree. We seen this team slapped a weaken United squad. Would love to see they slap a better version of United.
You're alone.
Maybe in next 30 years
Wouldn’t surprise me if he keeps on staying until he retires! No club will ever suit klopp like Liverpool do
@Samuel Clark he could definitely do it somewhere else, but the passion of the club and what they represent, it’s a perfect match!
Yeah he has the potenial to become the fergie of liverpool and stay there for 20 years +
@Samuel Clark yeah he could do it at another club. As he shown everywhere he’s gone. But he looks so much at home at liverpool
@Donquixote Doflamingo lmao plastic club with no passion
@Donquixote Doflamingo Klopp will never go to a club that booing and disrespect their own player.
If Liverpool have decided to resign Klop over salah, they have been very smart and learnt from their mistakes
Why y'all acting like they can't resign both?
@@resolute7177 we all know Salah will sign a new deal where else is he gunna go any other club bar City would be a step down from Liverpool

That's what great club do....keep the best manager is more crucial than trying so hard to keep individual player.
Lmao Pep will extend after that Haaland signing , these guys are really here to stay , its over for everybody .
It's not that we don't appreciate comparisons to Ferguson. We all know what Ferguson was at United and to football history, it's just that we want Klopp to have his own legacy.
Klopp staying in the PL keeps things competitive. No one wants City to have it all their own way...unless you are City fans.
It's nice to see someone put up a fight against city, fair play where credits due. And klopp is a top manager!
@@charliemartn Klopp and Guardiola set the standard but there's room for other PL clubs to challenge and hopefully keep the English teams dominant in Europe.

As a Liverpool fan I enjoyed your talk on Klopp extending his contract. Some good descriptions that you gave Klopp in regards to his passion for the club.
Thanks Klopp for all you have done for our club and the pride and joy you have given us! Great news you have decided to stay for longer. Just being able to challenge for the trophies again, and 'give it a try' as you say against clubs with endless oil money and resources has been a miracle! I will not be disappointed if we don't win anymore trophies (despite the stupid media hype) as the journey is just as important and it has been fantastic! We are one of the most exciting teams in the world to watch! YNWA
He knew
I personally had a feeling Klopp would extend by a year, not two years- I also think it’ll be his last job and he’ll retire from club football; this extension means he still thinks there’s a lot to achieve with the current setup and incoming players. I think they’ll get a prodigy in the next year or two, like Bellingham; no doubt having Klopp and his team stay helps Liverpool’s transfer targets significantly, esp. with players still early in their career who invest in the plans of the coach
He will not retire before managing german national team
I bet he is eyeing 2026 after world cup that maybe hansi flick steps down. He has always wanted to manage germany
I hope you are right about the Bellingham part. Board will surely back him to the hilt
@@phoenix2225 like Pep wants to manage Spain, i believe they want world cup and then might return to club football again. Its football man no body wants a break. I might cross 60 in the next 30 years but will always dream of kicking that ball in the net ehh!!!
@@lomzaunfiltered9151 I dont see bellingham leaving dortmund until 2024. The way he has talked it seems like he wants to honor his contract with them
Very humble and gracious of you to say those kind words. YNWA
As a Liverpool fan i'm sorta sad that it's only a 2 year extension and not forever :(
If there’s no drop off then I think he would extend again, it’s really down to how the players keep it going.
As a united fan i’m gutted, he really is the brain of liverpools team and removing him would collapse the club
Collapse lmao. We’re not your useless club.
@@stephenjames227 perfect response to that clown
it wouldn't collapse the club. Its all about recruitment. Liverpool have always had good mangers, Rodgers, Rafa, Houlier.. Klopp is obviously a great and irreplaceable but the squad and culture has been built by better business on and off the field. This never happened before!
Lmaooo
Love the saltiness
Well spoken Mark. A Man. U fan praising a Liverpool manager. Thats some big balls right there.
Getting Klopp to stay for 2 extra years is better than a world class player signing!
I think he's gonna manage a national side after City... there's was talk about him managing Brazil during his sabbatical year before he went to Bayern
Why tf would Pep manage Atalanta? 😭😭
Lol if you think pep will leave City to manage Atalanta with their budget you're completely deluded
He's already said he's leaving in 2023
Much respect for your words and positive sportsman attitude from a Liverpool supporter from Germany👍
No way liverpool will drop off when klopp goes.
Liverpool is well built from the top down
Best thing about this is that klopp wouldn’t sign on if he knew he wasn’t going to be backed in the market hopefully we can consistently challenge city from now on and set up for the future
Keeping Klopp just means protecting him from being taken by a rival club
Klopp has said before that he would never go the rival of a club he’s managed. I don’t think rival clubs would even bother approaching him
When Klopp said he wanted a break, he meant break Manchester United fans heart's. 💔
Well that escalated quickly, wasn't it rumoured like this morning that he might sign and extension.
Best and most realist way to destabilize Liverpool would be to hire away his assistants and scouts via better opportunities. Aka, head coach positions and more money.
Salah wanted clarification on Klopp and FSG flew Mike Gordon in and he negotiated a two year extension......... This means Salah deal is Imminent.
Does anyone else actually want Salah at the moment?

@Donquixote Doflamingo Man people tried this same nonsense with Zidane and Cr7 ...Carlo sets up the team, Tactics everything stop this dumb logic ...then Klopp is doing the same because his team is literally filled with stars
By far the better manager out of him and pep, klopp can man manage and get his players to a different level, pep just buys new players.
this is amazing, Klopp is fantastic he build Liverpool new...i couldnt imagine Liverpool without Klopp
Best news ever. Jurgen will eventually retire a legend, but for now we've got him for another 4 years. Fantastic.
If Liverpool lose the PL title by a point and Everton get relegated due to an incorrect ref decision, it will be the biggest disgrace in football history. There needs to be serious discussions on the state of match officials in the PL regardless.
That decision just makes me want to vomit
what about the fact that Liverpool escaped red cards against city? I agree that man city got lucky with decision and a few other decisions as well but so have Liverpool. And about everton..... it would be sad if they get relegated due to a single decision but they have got many opportunities to survive but haven't taken them.
