Great documentary! I think it's important for Christians to fully understand in detail what Christ went through, rather than avoid or bypass the facts of the suffering
Thank you for this in depth look at what our LORD suffered. It's nearly impossible to imagine His pain. I pray many will sit with the uncomfortable horror of what happened when He chose to die for our sins. What wondrous and complete love is this?! Bless Him always and above all other names.

Wow, that was more than just a great message, this was Honor to the Sovereign King Jesus, of Nazareth. God of Israel, please remember me. Please forgive me, and pass grace and mercy upon your children. Oh Lord. I can't even make it through the day without you. Watching this and hearing of Christs suffering is bittersweet. So, I commit my spirit. I will do my best to abide in His commandments and keep them. Share them, and teach them to my children. To friends, enemies, and everyone with the open heart for Christs Word. I will abide in His steadfast love, all the day long. And mercy and grace shall be with me all the days of my life, and the Lord will be my dwelling place. Holy Spirit come and eat with me, come and counsel me. Theres another documentary I would reccomend. It has to do with Crucifixion from a modern day medical examiner's point of view. It discusses the trauma from beginning to end.
From being beaten, to his last moments on the cross.

Fantastic documentary! Thank you for putting this together. It is very insightful and produces a greater appreciation for what Christ our Saviour went through for mankind! I am very moved watching it.
May I suggest that the Father never forsook His Son nor turned His face away from Him. Jesus was quoting a Messianic Psalm (22) to reveal He is indeed the Messiah. The SAME Messianic Psalm reveals Jesus was never abandoned by the Father (verse 24). Neither does Scripture say the Holy Spirit left Jesus.
50 chapters of the OT on the sacrificial system also indicate that the lamb can not be spotted or blemished - otherwise, it would be unacceptable sacrafice before God.

You placed the nail too low on your hand. The nail was driven through the base of the palm. The nail would pass through the anatomical correct portion of the wrist. NOT where the forearm meets the palm as you pointed to.

You neglect to to mention that the Romans scourged and executed, those they'd condemned to death by crucifixion, having stripped them totally naked. Indeed some authorities hold the view that, having been stripped for scourging, the condemned remained stark-naked thereafter, and were publically paraded naked, carrying the horizontol beam of their cross, to the place of execution.
The reason you can find few examples of women being crucified is that the majority who were executed by crucifixion were slaves and slave executions were not broken down by gender, often being collective punishments carried out on all the slaves of a particular household where perhaps just one or two slaves were directly responsible for a crime.
With regard to women being crucified facing the cross, this appears to have only taken place in Palestine, and only when the Roman authorities saw a short term need to appease Jewish religious sensiblities with regard to female nudity. At other times and in all other Roman provinces, women were crucified naked in exactly the same fashion as men. For example many of the female slave camp followers of Spartacus and his slave army would have been crucified openly naked at the conclusion of the Third Servile War with no regard for their modesty or personal dignity as they died the horrific death of crucifixion as a warning to others.
