Will give this a go (can’t sew though...😕) as my blue caped Ugnaught suddenly became purple caped after 30 years or so. Fab content 👍🏻

Any chances of making a pattern for Splinter's kimono from TMNT? There's a lot of naked Splinters out there that could use some clothes. Lol.

Just the ticket Dave, I recently picked one of these up, needed a cape. I'll have a go at this

I don't collect vintage Star Wars, but I would be interested in seeing felt replacements of those figures that had vinyl capes, as this would be a nice upgrade. (Hint, hint)

Imagine all those kids in China, Hong Kong or Taiwan who once sat and sewed these tiny pieces together. Coz this must have been done by hand, right? Anyway, another great vid! I just love watching your videos!

    Hey Mr. Polloi☺️
I really enjoy your work with restorations and customizations.
This is in no way criticism...
    As someone who has done a lot of sewing in his life;
    - I find it much easier to use a smaller needle (especially going through elastic).
    - As well, I use a single line of thread going through smaller items, such as the small clothing you work on.
Thread the needle as normal, do not even out the ends and sew as you normally would. As to a knot you would only need to make your first stitch smaller and overlap the tail end.
Hoping that last part makes some sense, I am not sure how else to explain it as I am a visual and hands on learner.
Keep on doing what you are doing,
I will keep watching and learning. 😃
    Take care Toy Man😀

Thanks for the tips. I always say I am not great at sewing. I'll try those next time I do some sewing. Cheers

      Toy Polloi
      You are so welcome ☺️
I certainly am not in anyway great at sewing either.
Hopefully it works out for you.
      Take care.

Do you ever get heat from the anti-repro guys for this kind of stuff?

That's a shame. I really love your videos, to me they are as much a method of restoration as they are a specific guide to the certain topic, and I love that about them.

+RetroZone: Neon Thanks. Star Wars collectors do worry about being ripped off, and the value of their collections. I just like to fix toys. It's only the hardcore collectors who have a problem with restoration.

Random fact, I have never seen an Ugnaught figure in real life. I'm 46. Just never happened.

They do seem harder to find than most.
