Hey bro just wanted you to know I watched your video and mounted my brackets using the exact hardware you outlined here, worked perfectly. Much love to you for finding the right gear needed to get these mounted
Awesome! Glad they worked out for you. My speakers are still up with no issues on those mounts . I even ended using that same mount for a mini xgmini projector and it worked out pretty well. I am about to move into a new place. I will be def be putting them to the test. I plan to take them all down and remount in my new house in about a month. If you have any questions let me know!
With these satellites, I'd probably just use bare wire, just long enough to slide in there and not expose any wire. But this is a nice set from Monolith.
For bare wire connections I solder just the very tips. Just enough to hold together the loose ends to prevent fraying. Leaving enough exposed wire for the spring connector to bite into.
Ahh yes!!! I'm not sure why I didn't think to add that into the video. I have done that in the past and it works great as well. Thanks for bringing it up!! 👍👍
Gotta thank you @joentell for turning me on to these speakers. I would have never snagged them otherwise. Please check out @joentell he has some amazing reviews on these speakers as well! They are def lil rockets for the price! If you guys are not follow Joe already check out his channel. He does an awesome job on reviews, measurements and everything else. www.youtube.com/@joentell
It's a shame monoprice didnt just put a standard M8 or 1/4 inch nut in the back of the speaker along with the keyhole mount. as well as better speaker connections. 1/4 inch is pretty common and they still put a M6 at the bottom. Ugh...
Definitely a strange move. Hopefully we will see a version two of these lil guys. I would love to see a larger driver ;) and some additional improvements.
@@scaudioav Kanto made a set of speakers that came in an assortment of colours called the BEN. it was a 5 1/4 inch coaxial sealed cube and wall mountable with a 1/4 inch thread on the back. Maybe grab a pair somewhere and compare them.
Awesome! I just started doing vids for fun on and off the last year. Nothing serious just love the gear, audio and if I have something to teach or can help others that works as well ;). That was a fun event. Always nice to meet new people in the area! Seems like the local crew is starting to grow. We will all have to try and keep in touch. Did Joe get your contact info?
Ther QA on these speakers mount is bad. I got 3 of them i could tightly mount to the mounte you are using without any adapter. One of them i had to use the adatper and even then it was a bit finicky. They all could ve improved on that threaded mount
Thanks for your input on them. I didn't run into that issue myself. I would be careful if you're threading them directly into the speakers without the adapter. The threads are different and you could strip them out. I wonder if anyone else in this thread ran into issues as well. If you did let us know. As an alternative camera wall mounts should work with that thread adapter as well.
I am still working towards getting the rest of the vids out. Unfortunately I had a setback. I ended up breaking my ankle and that left my compact room buildout in limbo for a little bit. In the last few days I am now almost able to walk on it and I can once again work towards finishing up this compact room build completed.
With these being such low sensitivity and 4 ohm, what will you use to power the full atmos (5.1.4?) set up with? I'm looking to do the same thing, so in looking at receivers I noticed that Yamaha literally doesn't make a model that can handle a full set of 4 ohm speakers. Surprised. Thanks!
I am currently Driving them (7 speakers)with Denon AVR-X2300w. I am crossing them over at about 90hrtz and I have not had an issue with them being 4ohms.

He's alright, but look out for Scaudio. Up and coming.
Thanks for sharing your mounting advice! I'm ordering these speakers and your tips really help!
Did you end up purchasing? I'm curious about what your impression of them is.
I got the speakers, the mounts, the flexible banana plugs. I used the back key holes and wall mounted them.
And they sound wonderful!

Now that you've lived with these for a while now could you do a follow up video letting us know how these are working out for you? Thanks.

@@scaudioav Oh wow, so sorry to hear that. Your recovery is way more important than a speaker video. Hang in there!
@@scaudioav I hope your ankle is better. Any updates on this system?
The system is done and built! Im doing a live stream right now on @easyhttech channel. Feel free to pop in and ask some questions!
