    ZX-4R/RR is for people who want a screaming machine at reasonable speeds, a ZX-6R redlines at about 16.5k rpm, but then you're doing about 120km/h on first gear.

    ZX-4RR is for people who've already done 600's and got bored of them ten years ago. 400cc is for old farts like me who miss the 90's era machines and don't care about price.

      Exactly. I had a fzr400 and fzr250 back in the day. I loved the little screamers, and at 5'4" they just seemed to fit me better. Grant it I've had a R1, R6, FZ1, cbr600rr, and even a ninja 300. I've been hoping for another small displacement in line 4. I understand that bang for the dollar is not there for the zx4rr, but there is a market for it.

    I looked at the 2023 ZX6R loved the looks. I thought long and hard at getting one. I decided on the zx4rr because I just didn't need all the power of the zx6r. I would never use it's full potential. I'm loving my zx4rr. I can use 85% of it's power and I'm not planning on getting a tune for it. I'll never be up in the highest rev range of it. I'm not interested in going as fast as I can. That just doesn't appeal to me. There is always something faster. I just want to enjoy the sound and the curvability of the small ninja. I can get it up to 10 to 11k and feel the power kick in. I traded in my 2021 MT07 for the 2023 ZX4RR just because I was tired of the sound of the parallel twin motor. I wanted an inline 4. I had a street triple and loved the sound of it but I couldn't use all the power of that bike either.

    Impatient to get this bike for the end of the year here in Europe.

  • @Westside_Hippie
    @Westside_Hippie Год назад +3

    Honestly I’m torn on the ZX4RR. I honestly think it’s the price that really put it in a bad spot.
    The entire Ninja/Z Line(except Ninja 1000) - Cheaper and probably way more street oriented. Only Drawback is the 4 is better on track.
    ZX6R- only $1000 more, huge aftermarket, obviously more power, has basically the same tech, both will probably have a very similar street experience. Drawback - the 4 has a weight advantage and the 6 doesn’t have a full digital dash i believe. Dollar for Dollar, you might as well get a 6.
    Honda CBR650R- Price difference is truthfully negligible. A street friendly 4 cylinder, Honda reliability, better Street ergos, more top end power. Drawback- Less tech and the same disadvantages from the Ninja/Z line.
    Side note - A smidge above new ZX6R prices, you’re basically in used 2015 and up R1 territory if you REALLY wanna be spicy.
