I’ve had both bikes myself. You’re absolutely correct about them being different. I will say that I love both of them. However, I don’t think it’s a really good comparison. Other than being pretty close to the same displacement that’s all they have in common. Ducati being a two cylinder and the Yamaha obviously being the four-cylinder. With that said it’s not so much about the cylinders like you said how they put the power down. The Ducati actually is rated at 155hp and the Yamaha is rated at 200. Anyway, for 25k you can get a v4 Duc that has 209 hp and 89 pounds of torque vs 83 and both weight about 414lb no fuel. As you mentioned. Again, I’ve had both and stuck with the Duc. Of course it’s about the personal preference. History of Ducati in racing is on it’s own the story. They were laughing at Ducati in the beginning because of the desmo and v2. Who’s laughing Now!!! Either way a tough choice.

I'm a little over a year in on owning a '23 Black CB650R. Absolutely lovely bike and great for riding around the city, little trips to the gym or whatever. But I'm dying for more power. Clocked about 30,000 KM in the last year and saving up for a ZX10R by March/April 2025. Went to the dealership and looked at a '24 Gray/Green and instantly fell in love. The bike is simply the best value when comparing it to an R1 & GSXR1000. I will admit that I found the GSXR to be way more comfortable but I'm not spending over a grand more for a bike with less features. I will be keeping my CB650R since the insurance on it is around $600 a year and ZX10 be my baby when I want to take trips, do track days and just fuck around on weekends.

Man I'm literally going to have to flip a coin. I really find it hard to dislike most sportbike brands

Rs660’s with a tune and full exhaust are BEASTS… by far the best p-twin on the market.

Why does every keyboard warrior say “buy the base R1 instead of the R1M”? I plan on buying a 2025 R1M or a used 2023/2024 V4S next year. I am very sensitive to engine vibration/buzziness of the engine at mid to high RPMs. What do you think?

U get ur bike unlocked yet. I'm sure u have by now. I'm sure u see the flat spot between 4k and 8k rpm in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th gear. The brentune flash will fix that if u haven't got the flash yet

The 500 mile review you did on your zx10rr has me convinced and I want one …. I am in the market for a fire blade sp , but the zx10rr is so underrated!!! I’m a suzuki owner and I was always againts spending 30k for a Japanese bike but after more research and dyno videos and the potential of that bike i definitely think it’s worth it … nice bikes! Your zx10rr is definitely the king in that garage … not the DUC 😂 ducs are nice but don’t get sliced up by a 🥷
