    Great on you lad. Still miss my 1978 RD400. My first bike Lol. Not a race rocket like the TZ, however it had some balls. Especially when piped and jetted. Keep the rubber side down brothers and keep those revs above 7K on a 2-stroke. 🙂 Cheers and thanks. Damn I'm old. It's good to see that the old girls got some balls.

    Deep joy and happy memories 🙂🏁
    Back in the 80’s I had a Rickman CR1000 and a GT750 kettle…….. the kettle was ported heavily, jetted, geared…… with an Applebee crank and Allspeeds 😊. Not a patch on a TZ but lively and tuneful…….
    A chap called Nick Foot(?) had a similarly altered GT kettle and we used to make music along the Epping New Road to the splendid High Beech - Epping…….
    The point to this nostalgic ramble, we used to ride with a chap called Rob Green(?) on a barely Road legalised TZ750, needless to say we couldn’t catch him……… and another chap with a Moto Martin Venom, which I recall had stickers on the fairing saying it achieved 163mph at MIRA 🙂🇬🇧
    By far the most trick at that time was a mates Sanders & Lewis GT750, with Dymags and a three into one…….. sounded a lot quicker than it actually was, stock engine and three into one wasn’t optimum……….
    Great to see and hear the TZ 🏁

    • @lussoveloce
      @lussoveloce  3 года назад +2

      it's simply due to the lack of space for all of the expansion chambers and the need for ground clearance. The only place left is under the seat!

    • @razor1uk610
      @razor1uk610 2 года назад

      left side of the bike & the swing arm, has the drive-chain, so there's less room to have both the pipes alike the right hand pair on the left...

      By modern standards the TZ 750 isn't fast at all. Lots of power for the day and very light weight, but had a flexy frame, crap suspension, brakes and tires. This combination was what made the TZ so legendary and scary. I remember seeing footage of Roberts on one and the entire bike was wallowing and wiggling coming out of the corner.
