Nice! I hiked around it a few years back and always wanted to summit it. Soon I hope.

I hiked it this summer just before the fires, looks like around the same time you did. Very sad to think all that beautiful forest is now burnt to a crisp. Nice climb man!

Gorgeous exposure mate! For a relatively short volcano, it sure has character.
For the chute where you roped, how did you protect? I'm guessing there aren't bolts up there...

Yea it's a pretty cool little mountain! One of my favorites. For the chimney I just soloed the lead and clipped into the rap station for a top rope for the rest of the team. But It can be protected with small cams with a crack on the right side of the chimney.

I climbed this in 1982 with several other people. It's just terrifying to see it now, especially memorable(!) was the crawl. Appropriately named. WHY OH WHY do people CARRY a rope and not USE it?? The drop off that feature is bottomless.

It is very exposed, but the moves are easy, its class 4 on the crawl. its just personal preference to protect. Personally I love the exposure and it makes me feel more alive. nothing was out of my comfort zone for safety.
