Just discovered Klaatu last week! Amazing!
Terry Dyper is BONKERS
Man, it's so awesome to see an interview with one of the members of my favorite band. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing your experience with the world
Some of us were listening! I was brought up on Klaatu which worked out for me! I'm an endangered specie!
Awwwww, that’s so sweet that Karen and Richard wrote them that note
Terry always gives a great interview & this this one was no exception. I can't even begin to say how thankful I am to channels like this for keeping Klaatu's legacy alive and in the public's eye. I've been an avid Klaatu fan for over 40 years (since hearing an interview Terry did with Crazy Roger of Radio Confusion waaaaay back in 1980). Their music is absolutely timeless!
That rocket ship didn't take off until Dee came along. He was a supersonic rocketship seeking fuel!🤩😍😎...btw...ALL the folks in Klaatu are the nicest fellows you might ever encounter. As Ringo would say...Peace and Love On Ya! Terry, I hope you read this...I bought Hope the day it came out in L.A. I still listen to that original record to this day and it still is Fresh to me. Thank you, Dee, and John for your integrity, faith, and wonderful abilities to utilize your Muse. The rewards are still being generated...and appreciated.
Hi Terry, if you happened to read this I just want to say...thank yiou. Back in High School ( 81-82 ) a buddy turned me on to 3:47 EST and it's remained high on my list of my all time favourite albums. You did a brilliant job writing that and the production is simply outstanding. I never really understood the Beatles comparison other than "All Good Things" off Endangered Species which think could easily be sung by Harrison. Anyway, thanks for the many many hours of enjoyment. Oh and the bridge on Knee Deep In Love is simply beautiful.
Hi Barry, great interview with Terry. I just subbed you.
Great interview. Love to see the Sunset album re-released for all us newbies that missed out the first time.
I agree, and make it purchasable for me too!
I am a huge Klaatu Fan and I have a live Radio Klaatu live show from Calgary 1982.. I would love to post it but will talk to John and Terry first and if they agree.. The world should hear what a good live band they were..
I would love to see this
Good luck but I'm almost sure the band won't give you permission to do such thing, myself I have listened to two live radio broadcasts and indeed they were awesome live!
@@TheStarclipse yeah I'd imagine it'd be hard for them to obtain rights or permission. Awesome you got to hear them though!
@@TheStarclipse Wow another FM broadcast? Where was it and when?
Love watching interviews with Terry Draper. I have bought and enjoyed some of his solo CDs and he is so down to earth and talented. I'm still a big Klaatu fan to this day!
impressed ! terry seems like a nice, regular lad (despite having been a Beatle 😊)
first time i heard klaatu i was a kid living not far from the weston/ finch area that terry mentions in this interview ....
thanks for posting this ☮️
What a great interview... At the time when Klaatu first come out, not very many heard about the group. Odd how over the years they never got popular. I ended up having two of Klaatu's first album from 1976, when I came across a second used one! I'd luv to have more of their music in my vinyl collection.
Tremendous, very insightful
I was at the Led Zeppelin show at the Rockpile too!
Damn that's cool I have seen alot of shows Including Robert Plant the HoneyDrippers tour but sure wish I had seen The Mighty Zep! Unfortunately didn't get the chance!
I have the vinyl of the first klatu and the CD
Love from India
5, 4, 3, 1??
Anus Of Uranus was the only song recorded in the 70s who's bass line would literally blow your rear deck Jensen TriAxles and destroy them , Hah Bravo 🤣
Bill Bruford wasn't in Led Zeppelin!
Is it a man singing "Calling Occupants"? I've always thought it was a woman.
The Carpenters Sang this Klatuu song as well, the version you are referring to was sung by Karen Carpenter.
@@BarrySmith-vw6sl Thanks, man. It's my fault. Yes, I know Karen Carpenter also sang this. But, to me, the KLAATU version also sounds like a woman singing. And I'm still not sure that it isn't.
