- Despite a lot of stuff being patched out of the game, there are still tons of new tricks that are possible! I've been having a lot of fun lately coming up with new trick ideas and the Bully one at the very end is probably my favorite so far. I also included some of the ones that I've seen other people using too and included any IDs on the bottom corner of the screen.

Smm2 testers must be the thumbs down this vid has. Even if u dont play smm2 these tricks are all visually impressive. I do play however and seeing all of these 1 after another gets me excited. 1 for the way there going to be implemented and strung together to create great kaizo levels. 2 the games a week old and already theres so much amazing user content.
SingleServingFriendz I mean this guy is right, Nintendo would make lots of Money if they can only understand that concepts of Glitches And Bugs. Glitches are the best while Bugs like the midair shell jump was the best! If Nintendo would understand all of this.. believe me! Nintendo would had gain lots of Money and SMM2 would be the #1 video game that people would love. Tricks and glitches is what makes special SMM2 and SMM1 they are fun and creative! Stacking hiding pipes into another that was sooo awesome! I love that from SMM1 videos and my hopes went down when Nintendo patched that out... and Super Mario 3D world IS NOT ANYMORE 3D World without putting pipes together like the original one, I am talking about the clear pipes that you can choose a path while riding it. I want Nintendo to put back all the cool glitches but just take away the glitches and bugs in competition. That I would allow having all patch because we are playing competition not trap-petition but other than that having all cool glitches to do cool and amazing creative levels! That is supposed to be Mario Maker! To BE FREE AND CREATIVE! I love speedruns and I don’t might sucking on those! I learn cool tricks and is more fun! But...having all patch is not fun anymore... we should all do a Strike to Nintendo with the designers of SMM2 and tell them to put back the glitches from SMM1 to SMM2! A peaceful and reasonable strike to make them understand that having glitches are fun and creative.

I mean, things like these, so called kaizo, have never been a core in the Mario series, and it's understandable why. I don't think a player is casual just because he can't do advanced techs, and also everyone plays how the fuck he wants to play, considering also that people can have different views about, in this case, which one is a fun level to play, even regardless of their actual capabilities. And just because you're more capable, you shouldn't brag, cause you just sound stupid.

Yeah pretty much. The wind pushes you fast enough to land on the shells otherwise the frame-perfect throw from SMM1 is completely patched.

These are sweet! But how does the first one work? Can you just grab shells like that?
And what's special about the one where you duck jump on a slope?
The first one is a parachute shell. It's rideable for a few seconds before reverting back into a normal shell after the parachute deploys. The trick uses what is most likely a 1 frame transitional period where it is both solid and grab-able.
Duck jumping off a slope is frame-perfect, you normally can't do it.

Hey! I don't know if this is a tech but on the super mario world style if you put a slope upwards ( not the gentle one,the other) you can spin jump multiple times in a row to get some momentum! You should definetely check it out!

Found a neat trick. In the SMW Night Sky Template Mario's spin jump "hovers" at 2-3 blocks high for about a 4 block distance, so you can make narrow tunnels with spikes with the only way to get past without damage is the spin jump

But the spesific enemy can be killed without the pow block dissapearing

It was so much fun playing this game in the GDQ practice room just testing different things because we were all annoyed about midairs being gone, so every time someone found a new way to do a midair there was this massive pop off from like 15 people. First minimawile found the night desert wind setup, then I found the slope setup. I think those were the only 2 we found there but it's so funny to see how many more new ones have been found

What are the inputs in the 3d world one where you jump off the box grabbing it at the same time?
Also I have one for you, from 3d world as well. You can wall jump out of transparent pipe that has no ground under it.
You need to jump off the edge of the crate and then immediately press left. It's kind of difficult to do, but if you put the crate on a Note Block (so that it's bouncing) it's a lot easier. Just jump off on the way up.

I love a lot of the night tech, i just wish the night themes matched the game.

Alright kind of unrelated, but during the desert wall climb part the winds were constantly blowing in one single direction instead of changing directions, how do you do that?
You can't. It's based on the game styles, so:
SMB: Left at an interval
SMB3: Right at an interval
SMW: Left or right at an interval
NSMBU: Constantly right
Dude these are awesome! Getting some great ideas for new levels!

The one wall wall jumps were possible in NSMBWii in its sandstorm level, so it’s not surprising that you can do it here as well

Also I found a new kaizo trick in the 3D World style using Builder Mario. You can spawn a block, carry it, and do a block jump similar to the POW jump in Super Mario World

One missing trick (not discovered by me, by I noticed it isn't here) is if you're wearing the dry bones shell and there's a wall of brown bricks with a solid ceiling. If you release the shell (from your body) as you're jumping into the corner it breaks the brick.

Hey @Black60Dragon, I was just wondering if the trick at 1:03 has been patched out, and if it hasn't, how to do it. I've seen quite a few clips of people doing what looks to be a Yoshi Slow Spit and jumping off with the item still held/being worn. Any idea how this works, and how to do it? Thanks!

Part of me is like "huh, these are pretty cool tricks" and the other part is like "These make it literally impossible for most people to beat my stage, which is the entire point of the game. Kind of pointless to use some of these tricks in my levels now".
