  • UPDATE: This clock no longer works. I will be getting a brand new movement for this clock, and the old movement will be dedicated for parts.

I have a Franz Hormic two jewel made in Germany IRAD Adjusted 1050-021. It was evidently wound too tight since the keys (2) won’t turn either way So before I take in to clock place is there a manual that is available that I can see inner workings on paper.

My Howard Miller brass plated Westminster Chime mantel clock that I recently got has the same problems as the one in this video with the chimes where it does more notes like this one and only does it every hour/out of place chimes.

That's a nice clock - it looks great and it sounds great. The time side doesn't run and the chime side looks like it has an issue with shutoff at the end of the chime. What are you planning to do with it? Fix it yourself? Take it to somebody to fix it? Leave it as it is?

I’m going to be getting a new movement for it, due to the wearing on the movement. Plus with little experience I have, as well as funds, I’d be better off getting a newer movement.
Reliability on the older floating balance movements are lower compared to the newer hairspring balance movements.

Your video tells me nothing about the actual issue. Wasting time watching and listening to the chimes... winding the hands backwards.... it's clear you don't know what you're doing.
