Love this! I’m doing this challenge too and potatoes are on my list! I think this week will be pickled red onions, roasted poblano salsa?, maybe green chilies… still debating what I’m doing 🤣
Before I learned differently, I used table salt with iodine for green beans. It made the beans mushy. I ruined a whole batch of green beans! Yuk. There is a caking agent (whatever that means), but iodized salt also messes with flavor and mostly texture. Good show! New sub here. 😊
Yes learning about salt has been an adventure! Now that we use sea salt and pink Himalayan, you can really taste the metal like taste in iodized. Thank you for watching and subbing!
I was looking forward to canning my green beans. Even after i stringed them they still had hard woody strings. It's my first year growing the green beans. I used an heirloom bush bean. What kind of green beans did you grow and do you have that problem?
I like to stick to two kinds of bush green beans. Blue Lake and Contender. With these varieties, I haven’t had to deal with strings. I love them. I did a video on how I grow mine in raised beds. They did great this year. Thank you for watching!
I haven’t personally because I don’t have a glass top but I believe you can. You could probably check the manufacturers website to find out for sure. Thank you for watching!
Well done!
❤❤❤
