Thank you Richard for taking me on more lovely walks. I love the woodlands we are fortunate to still have. When the sun shines, it certainly shines and autumn is one of my favourite times.
I am in my third year of retirement after 40 years of working for a London borough. I don't miss the organisation, and what it had become. It is fortunate that there are still people like you Richard, who care about the people it serves.

So many gorgeous things in this vlog: green grassy peaceful parks, a chiming clock, a pink flowering cactus, bird song, sunsets and last but not least, Richard! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for sharing Richard . I feel for your situation re work. I can remember similar circumstances here in Canada . As a nurse it was always so difficult for me to get time back for forced overtime .

I now try to watch the ads during vlogs from my favourite youtubers (including you!), especially if I know that the income is important.
It's easily done and a small price to pay for all the joy you bring, and the ways that you lift our spirits and give us a little escape from our dark, troubled world.
I spend the time reading or adding comments, so it's not in the least inconvenient, I feel.
I also split my comments, if I have a few things to say, as I believe this helps the algorithm.

The condensation is a pain, I too dry our windows in the morning on frosty days .
Lovely walk through the woods in beautiful Buckinghamshire. My parents moved us out of west London ( greenford & hanwell ) when i was 16 to Buckinghamshire, gerrards Cross. You look well today 😊

Lovely views of the trees and the park and the sunset, thank you! It is so annoying when one thing is said and then they change their minds - you are sensible folk and have, therefore not already spent the money either on credit ( the worst) or in your minds, but it might be a disaster for those who do!

In the winter, the "blue hour" is my favourite time of day. Weather permitting, I like to go for a little stroll round my neighbourhood, as people start to put on their lamps etc. It feels quite magical.
Not today though, as it's SO slushy and slidey!

Hi Richard. Would it be too costly for you to leave your thermostat on 60 or 65 degrees all the time. That way your house wouldn't cool down so much and it would be easier to warm up on the days when you need a bit more heat.

    • @RichardandPaul
      @RichardandPaul  Месяц назад +2

Great idea but it would simply cost too much.

Too bad your leave pay didn't go through...put in for your leave in big chunks or all at once...upper management may change their minds. Either way they have to pay, so silly for them to refuse the most economical and convenient way. Then again, corporations love to cut their noses to spite their faces (hoping/probably believing that you won't take the leave). 🤷‍♀ Lovely show as always! Stay warm!💐💜💜

Perhaps a small idea to get more people to watch your beautiful vlogs is to write, for example, Richard's Vlogs 17th to 23rd Nov 2024 walk to Brent River Park after the title of the vlog. You have it in the description, but perhaps people will be more inclined to watch if the title of the vlog contains something about what the vlog is about? No criticism!!! just something to help, enjoy you here on RUclips during the week and just don't understand why more people don't come and watch it. I don't have Facebook and all other social media things myself, only RUclips and I have passed it on to a number of people, but that doesn't make much of a difference.
I enjoy every part you bring, but perhaps an idea to spread it out over several themed days? Well please keep the Sunday vlog, I'm looking forward to it tomorrow morning with my cup of tea. But for example, 1 day a week take us out for a walk, 1 day maybe cook something with us, etc.?

Hiya Richard, is there something you can do about the draft coming from chimney? when not in use of course. My understanding is you try not to use very much due to the air pollution it causes. Thankyou 🐝🇨🇦

We can light a fire but not before the chimney has been swept, which is happening next week.

I hope your employer let's you accrue those 69 hours over time and that they don't have to be "spent" by a certain time such as end of year. My former public employer at one position per contract was supposed to pay me in my position a shift differential per contract at that time...they (the director) postponed and postponed until the new contract and then blew it off...we never got it though employee reps attempted. This was over 25 years ago, but I haven't forgotten the observation that though you may have a written contract, it doesn't always work out as written if your rep is negotiating a new contract.

You do beautiful video on your walks. Enjoyed your week of vlogs! Maybe your place of employment would pay you for part of that time they owe you and you take off the rest of the time they won't pay for? Maybe they would compromise?

All this rubbish on the news trying to normalise us not being able to heat our houses! “heat the person” nope I have to heat our house… built in 1906 and yes decent windows/insulation etc but like you wooden floors and she needs heating or we will be running with water as we still have to cook and breathe and unfortunately dry washing … it makes me angry that I have heating I flinch to use and a redundant tumble dryer when only 5 years ago it was not a problem and well within our means and income!!
