Just programmed a replacement key this morning for my 2014 Toyota Corolla that my teenager lost. The dealer wanted almost $500 for a replacement key and I did it for $95 and one hour's worth of time that included the drive to the locksmith to have the key cut. I rented a programer for my 2017 Toyota Camry SE. It worked great. My original key didn't have a built-in remote. So I purchased a new key w/ built in remote and rented the programmer. Took about 2 mins to program the new key and the remote. And I got the key cut for free at Home Depot. The dealership quoted me about $350 for a new keyed remote. I think I spent about 90 bucks total using Tom's.

As many people know you don't know a good company from a great one UNTIL THINGS GO WRONG... this was the case with my order. I received my order and had to wait until the weekend. I opened the order and found it was one key/remote short. I have to say the programming is as easy as it could be with written instructions in the box and links to the video that walked me through each step. So the only problem was the shortage. I wrote an Email on Sunday evening and had a response in Monday mornings Email. They realized the mistake and set the key out right away. Think I received it on Wednesday but thanks to having kids the car was not available until the weekend. This time in setting up the second key/remote, I must have made a mistake but the instructions addressed this too. I reset everything and tried again. Worked like a charm... Programming the key and remote allowed me to save lots of $$$. I was able to program 2 keys easily. Their Customer Service is superb. They respond quickly and they help you if you encounter any issues. I paid $10 per key to get cut. Did have a little hard time to find someone local to cut it but because they were already programmed, it was not worth their time. Found someone close to work and was very helpful.

This thing worked A-amazing! Really great product and service. I bought two keys off Amazon that I used a Toyota Smart Keymaker on initially fir the transponder, and that turned on new indicator in my Camry. I ordered this to program the remote functions, which it did perfectly, but it also seems to have somehow turned off that (orange key in a car) indicator in the process.
Rented remote and bought the key from Tom's - worked great on a 2015 Toyota Rav4. If I were to do it again, I would also have them just cut the key before sending as opposed to making an additional local trip to a locksmith.
Got a key for my 2007 Tacoma. The first time I tried to program it, it didn't work and I think it's because I plugged in the programmer before the car stopped beeping after I turned it to the on position. When I tried it the second time and waited till the beeping stopped after I turned the key to the on position it programed perfectly, just like they said it would. I'm very happy and I know I saved a lot of money. I will use Tom's again if I need a key.

I was trying to covert my standard OEM key for my Camry to a flip key that I bought off of EBay. I was successful in programming the remote functions but unsuccessful programming the key. Even though it did not work 100%, I was very satisfied with this service. They were very responsive to my emails and issued a credit for my deposit. I highly recommend this if you are trying to program a key or remote. Many others have used this successfully. The guarantee if it doesn’t work is great.
Got one and got it to work! The instructions are very clear and they do a great job of really guiding you through. I did run into trouble programming the key because I must have been using a valet key instead of a master key, but once I got the master key, I got it to work! I emailed them my issues and they helped me figure it out very quickly!
I bought their blank key and rented their device for my 2014 Camry in order to replace my lost car key. Their customer service is top notch. I'd use this service again as this is a growing company that really wants to provide excellent customer service. Be aware of the time limit needed to complete many of the steps (included in the detailed written instructions they send with your order) because if you don't the programming will fail. Please make it clear that written directions are for ignition programming, not fob button programming. Will definitely recommend to others. So far I haven’t come across a better cost effective option for dubbing my car keys.
We needed a duplicate key for our 2005 Lexus RX330, and it was easy to program both the key and the remote buttons. I would recommend Tom's Key Company if you need a replacment key. They worked hard to get my order right.
Used on my daughters 2012 Camry and worked great. Highly recommend. Allow at least a week in shipping. Had the key cut for free at my local Lowes here in the US. Depending on who is working they may make you purchase a blank to get yours cut, but it still is cheap and they have locations everywhere.

this worked very well, they shipped it fast and the whole thing worked well, keep in mind there are two steps in programming. one for the key and one for the remote . the instructions on this video is for the key only, and paper that comes with the package talks about the Remote.

These guys are uncommon in the car racket. I couldnt complete the programming correctly and they refunded me in full no questions asked. Probably my fault. Their service is worth the money. I wouldnt hesitate to use them on my other car.
I didn't have a master key, I just had a transponder key, they couldn't cut it at Lowe's. Ace Hardware was useless. I went to a Fob car key place and ordered a key, they cut it and program the car. $253. Toyota charges 250-500$. Toyota Corolla 2016

There is no risk to this. My car would not go into programming mode. I described this to Mike, who advised that the car was at the maximum number of keys. I returned it for a full refund.
What if I have two keys, both used to work to unlock/lock the car but now they don't do anything? They still work as manual keys to start the car and manually lock the doors. Receiver or keys?

Hi Mr Tomahawk I recently purchased a 2016 Camry, comes with two keys, one key works fine and fully, key 2 will start the car, but lock and unlock portion doesn't work, I've already replaced the CR2016 battery, still no luck, is it possible for me to fix ( program) the lock and unlock portion my myself, without messing up the start engine part, please advise.
The key chip requires programming. Then the remote part to lock/unlock the doors requires the second part of the procedure. Key must be cut before it will start the engine. In your video at 1: 30 in , you demonstrated that the security light kept blinking thus showing it was not a valid key. Is the security system detecting it was a non valid key because it is the wrong style (example dot vrs G) or because it hadn't been programmed yet? Was the key you programmed the same key as the "non valid key". Thanks ahead.
Yes, the key inserted at 1:30 was the key being programmed in this video. At 1:30 it is before the key is programmed so the vehicle did not recognize the chip as authorized to slow the car to start. I believe that vehicle used at "G" chip key. Whatever chip the originalworking key was, it was the same type chip in the new key being programmed

Can they turn on the cart to drive it? If so, ensure you have a master key (not valet). Email help@tomskey.com to find out how to know difference if you need. If you have a master key that drives the car, you can make new keys including to lock/unlock the door. (as long as the car was factory equipped with remote lock/unlock feature. )

@@rojlanz7432 check out at 2:00 in this video. It does not matter if it was made by a locksmith. Need to see if it's a master key or valet key. If master key it can be used to program new keys. You can have 4 to 5 fobs on most Toyota vehicles The programmer gets paired to the VIN number of the first vehicle you program. It can make several keys for that vehicle. Unfortunately no. Toyota requires a master key to be able to make another key. If you can get a locksmith or Toyota dealer to make a new master key, then you can rent the programmer to make another master key.

Will this work in my case I lost my original key & paid someone to come out and get me a new key and programmed the new one so they deleted the original key. Well 1 ur later i lost the replacement key & found my original but the original key buttons only unlock/locks the car when I put the key into the ignition to turn it on it will crank but won’t turn over… please help!!

Best method ever. I even bought the keys from amazon, just rent the device from Tom's to program my girl's Toyota 2014 Camry. She bought the car without remote, only one key. So I bought another two keys with remote and programmed them easily with the device.
This thing worked A-amazing! Really great product and service. I bought two keys off Amazon that I used a Toyota Smart Keymaker on initially fir the transponder, and that turned on new indicator in my Camry. I ordered this to program the remote functions, which it did perfectly, but it also seems to have somehow turned off that (orange key in a car) indicator in the process.
Rented remote and bought the key from Tom's - worked great on a 2015 Toyota Rav4. If I were to do it again, I would also have them just cut the key before sending as opposed to making an additional local trip to a locksmith.

Got a key for my 2007 Tacoma. The first time I tried to program it, it didn't work and I think it's because I plugged in the programmer before the car stopped beeping after I turned it to the on position. When I tried it the second time and waited till the beeping stopped after I turned the key to the on position it programed perfectly, just like they said it would. I'm very happy and I know I saved a lot of money. I will use Tom's again if I need a key.

Awesome video! Used this as a guide to program my 2007 Camry with your tool. SO EASY! Had two new keys programmed (with remote) in under 20 minutes. I was trying to covert my standard OEM key for my Camry to a flip key that I bought off of EBay. I was successful in programming the remote functions but unsuccessful programming the key. Even though it did not work 100%, I was very satisfied with this service. They were very responsive to my emails and issued a credit for my deposit. I highly recommend this if you are trying to program a key or remote. Many others have used this successfully. The guarantee if it doesn’t work is great.

The instructions are very clear and they do a great job of really guiding you through.
I did run into trouble programming the key because I must have been using a valet key instead of a master key, but once I got the master key, I got it to work! I emailed them my issues and they helped me figure it out very quickly!
I bought their blank key and rented their device for my 2014 Camry in order to replace my lost car key. Their customer service is top notch. I'd use this service again as this is a growing company that really wants to provide excellent customer service. Be aware of the time limit needed to complete many of the steps (included in the detailed written instructions they send with your order) because if you don't the programming will fail. Please make it clear that written directions are for ignition programming, not fob button programming. Will definitely recommend to others. So far I haven’t come across a better cost effective option for dubbing my car keys.

We needed a duplicate key for our 2005 Lexus RX330, and it was easy to program both the key and the remote buttons. I would recommend Tom's Key Company if you need a replacment key. They worked hard to get my order right.

Had the key cut for free at my local Lowes here in the US. Depending on who is working they may make you purchase a blank to get yours cut, but it still is cheap and they have locations everywhere.

Programmed key and remote easily. Saved me $$$. I did have to pay Toyota to $10 to cut key as nobody else near me would/could cut it.
this worked very well, they shipped it fast and the whole thing worked well, keep in mind there are two steps in programming. one for the key and one for the remote . the instructions on this video is for the key only, and paper that comes with the package talks about the Remote.

EUREKA. This went like greased lightning. Lead-pipe cinch. Got it in NY minute. Went to Ace who copied the key for FREE! I am pleasantly surprised and thrilled! My Camry is 2009.

I didn't have a master key, I just had a transponder key, they couldn't cut it at Lowe's. Ace Hardware was useless. I went to a Fob car key place and ordered a key, they cut it and program the car. $253. Toyota charges 250-500$. Toyota Corolla 2016

There is no risk to this. My car would not go into programming mode. I described this to Mike, who advised that the car was at the maximum number of keys. I returned it for a full refund.
What if I have two keys, both used to work to unlock/lock the car but now they don't do anything? They still work as manual keys to start the car and manually lock the doors. Receiver or keys?

I recently purchased a 2016 Camry, comes with two keys, one key works fine and fully, key 2 will start the car, but lock and unlock portion doesn't work, I've already replaced the CR2016 battery, still no luck, is it possible for me to fix ( program) the lock and unlock portion my myself, without messing up the start engine part, please advise.

The key chip requires programming. Then the remote part to lock/unlock the doors requires the second part of the procedure. Key must be cut before it will start the engine. In your video at 1: 30 in , you demonstrated that the security light kept blinking thus showing it was not a valid key. Is the security system detecting it was a non valid key because it is the wrong style (example dot vrs G) or because it hadn't been programmed yet? Was the key you programmed the same key as the "non valid key". Thanks ahead.
Yes, the key inserted at 1:30 was the key being programmed in this video. At 1:30 it is before the key is programmed so the vehicle did not recognize the chip as authorized to slow the car to start. I believe that vehicle used at "G" chip key. Whatever chip the originalworking key was, it was the same type chip in the new key being programmed

@@TomahawkDIY yes both my keys are master keys, but the alarm/ locking/unlocking of both keys stopped working . First I thought it was the battery but we changed that and it didn't work. But one of my keys used to open and lock the doors, but it stopped working.

Yes. Remote is separate from the chip. Two different programming procedure needed to do both, so you can do only one if needed.

@@rojlanz7432 check out at 2:00 in this video. It does not matter if it was made by a locksmith. Need to see if it's a master key or valet key. If master key it can be used to program new keys. You can have 4 to 5 fobs on most Toyota vehicles
The programmer gets paired to the VIN number of the first vehicle you program. It can make several keys for that vehicle. But for a different vehicle you need to get another programmer.

Unfortunately no. Toyota requires a master key to be able to make another key. If you can get a locksmith or Toyota dealer to make a new master key, then you can rent the programmer to make another master key.
