M9 is a great service pistol. I was issued one during my time in the Army in the early '90s. I liked it so much I eventually got one for myself, a great shooter.
My girlfriends an air force staff sergeant she issues weapons and would regularly hate on the m9s. I just got a m9a1 compact. She's like oooo so that's a not clapped out Beretta... I really like that can I shoot it some more lol. I was specifically searching for the compact for a while thing runs awesome.
The Beretta M9/92FS is definitely one of the very best combat/duty pistols of all time for Military and Law Enforcement. Not to mention its a VERY sexy gun and also its cool-factor is off the charts because its been in so many movies and video games. 2 of my very favorite movies come to my mind right away whenever I think of the Beretta.... Die Hard and Lethal Weapon. 😎💪👍 I love my Beretta 92FS.
I love my Beretta 92's, the guy whose RUclips channel GB guns hated the M9 as did my son. They both were in Iraq and they had all kind's of problem's, between the magazine's and the fact that they were only serviced every 150 to 300 thousand round's.. Then both of them tried the Langdon tactical and they were impressed. I also have two from Wilson Combat. The only problem with them is they aren't revolver's. ( Lol ).
The Beretta 92 was THE pistol of the 80’s and 90’s action movies. I’m glad that, in today’s gun market, the vast majority of pistols out there are very well made and you can pretty well bet your life on any of them. That being said, the overwhelming majority of these guns are now polymer, striker fired pistols and they all very much look and feel about the same. To me, I just cannot get over the rugged badass look and feel of the old school, hammer fired, aluminum framed war pistols and I still prefer them to the polymer framed pistols to this day.
Man, I feel old. Seeing the Beretta M9 referred to as “I have this old gun”. I have two Berettas, a civilian marked M9 and a 92FS Vertec. Love them both. Sexy as hell and just ooze quality. Racking the slide feels like it’s rolling on greased ball bearings.
Have a couple Berettas and enjoy them much. Great fit n finish, strong action, easy handling and battle accurate. Also have an m17/320 and find it ok, accurate, klunky but nothing special.
I believe for a wide variety of personnel, many of them infrequent shooters of varying sizes/skill level, I don't think it was a terrible choice. That being said the P320 does not approach the quality or shootability of my Beretta 92A1. My only modification have made are metal trigger/guide rod, D-spring, safety to G style de-cocker, an over-sized mag release and a Hogue rubberized grip. To be fair I also have the Sig P320 X-Five that is pretty darn close to my 92A1 with better Dawson sights. This old dog would choose my 92A1 over my X-Five as a duty weapon and clearly the new M9A4. But you get what you pay for.
I own Beretta's and such, I've had a chance to get some time behind a new M9A3, and I shot the new Sig 360. It is hilariously embarrassing how much better the Beretta is over the plastic Sig. But that is just another small example how pea brained our government is.
I was just playing with a tan m9a3 that was new in the store and was super tempted to get it over the m9a1 compact that I was searching for ever for. I stuck with the compact but now I don't know if one Beretta is enough I might have to scoop the a3 in tan too.
M9 is my favorite modern 9mm to take to the range. It just shoots so nice and smooth.
The M9 will always have a place in my heart ❤️…it went to war with me in Iraq & Afghanistan. A war buddy that was always by my side.
Same here, took it to Iraq in two tours. Thy sword and Thy friend👍

Underrated pistol. Should never be replaced
A solid pistol and reliable !

I love my 92fs it's my dream gun, if I could only own 1 firearm it would be my 92fs
The Beretta 92 platform is still in production though...🤔
I have a 92fs inox and a m9a3. Its my favorite gun, even though 9mm isnt my favorite round. .357 magnum is my fav.
One day i want to get a 96fs.
The cracking was due to using very high pressure ammo near proof load .
I love my 92fs ❤
NRA publications should do a segment on the wonder nines pistols.
Do Glock pistol series

I don't think the Sig Sauer M17/P320 was such of great choice.
The Beretta would have been a better choice, imo.

The 92fs is an excellent pistol. I'll always favor the 1911 in 45 ACP though.
How about a Beretta 90 series pistol in .45 auto?
The m9 and the 1911 is a dead nuts tie to me can't beat either one
Got one love it trust it ..just hate the decocker
In my opinion the m9 A3 or the Glock 19x should of been the choice. Both are better guns than m17. I own them all.
Way better than the Sig P320
I hate the safety on the slide
Get the G model which Is decocker only, problem solved.
Actually, the whole mag issue is a lie. It was the issued mags that were fucking up. The third party ones actually were the ones that worked.
