10 Feb 23: Follow up video is here 🙌 ruclips.net/video/Ut9n4VsnXlU/видео.html
Shortly after publishing this video, my mouse became completely unresponsive. I am currently in the process of arranging a replacement with G Wolves and will follow up in due course with a video to explain all the nitty gritty details.
I miss my HSK Pro!!
I really want this mouse and your review has convinced me, but hearing this is making me reconsider. 8:24 aged poorly LOL
@@DeOxygenation_ I know!! What an absolute nightmare. I've managed to get jt working again with the second battery, but it won't charge up... so it's only a matter of time before I'm HSK-less again 🫣
@DeOxygenation I love the shape, and the weight is nuts man. I was one of the early pre orders, and i would hppe any version bought now would be issue free.
Thanks for sharing. I'm coming from the hati s and have 17x10 hand size and I'm going to try the hsk pro. Also considering the hsk +
Hey 👋 I think you won't be disappointed if you try the pro.
I pondered on buying the plus for a long time but I'm glad I waited. Let me know what you think of your pro when it arrives 🤙
The HSK+ is more if you like to regress back into claw grip. HSK Pro forces the fingertip grip.
Loving mine so far. I also have the M2K but the shape and cable isn’t for me.
Using it on a Hayate Otsu xsoft.
Feeling like control pads don’t do mice this light justice, feels like holding me back. Great review !
It's good to hear from you bro, particularly from the perspective of an M2K owner! I have left the stock skates on mine, have you used the grip tape at all? I'm excited for my replacement to arrive... at some point 😅
@@LogPile444 I didn’t use the grip tape for me it’s pretty much perfect, for real the M2K feels high end at looks great but no specs make up for that cable and the shape is to sharp for me. I couldn’t find any grip that worked for me.
HSK is way more rounded and comfortable to me.
After so many mice i tested no specs make up for shape.
Just waiting for the Viper Mini V2 Pro because viper shape is perfect just to big for me.
@ScapeRazer thats a really interesting take on the M2K, I think if G wolves sort out the reliability of their mice they could be on to a really good thing here with the HSK pro. It feels comfy despite being the size of a tic tac 🤣 all the best bro
@@adnan6758bbng Hey would you mind telling me about soft/xsoft? Is that a good thing for fingertip, and if so why? Im curious. Also I am jealous that you have two giga-endgame mice, very nice.
@@r4nowo Xsoft allows you to press the mouse more into the pad so it’s slower and more precise. Hayate Otsu is the perfect pad for me because it’s really free flow. There is not much resistance unlike the classic control pads.
I will say tho if you have a hard time controlling your mouse it could be to fast. I have a really tight fingertip grip so I’m fine but if you claw or have a really loose fingertip grip go for the Artissn Zero Xsoft in it’s an quiet fast control pad. If you are confident in your aim go for the Hayate Otsu. Also if you play games where tracking is important like Apex the Otsu is the goat.
How long did you use this mouse for and is it main mouse worthy ?
if only i can afford this its truly my Endgame. i mean when i go to 8 gauge guitar string from 11, ive never look back *why work hard
I loved it for the 2 days it worked. I will see if the next one breaks and maybe go for a refund if 2 die in a row.
Man...your voice is so calming.
🤣 🫡
Thanks for this. Also looking at this after Optimum's video. Pity they don't ship to South Africa.
Hey Flux, email me on LogPileGaming@outlook.com, we could see if i can send you my spare 🫡
Fingertip grip helped my aim a lot but it felt off having so much mouse that my hand made no contact with. I'd like to get this mouse soon
Hey man 👋 check out my later videos on this one, its got pros and cons ive found through long term use 😀
I have medium size hands and I get hand cramps with HSK plus so idk if I should try pro 4k isn’t it smaller but it force you into more of fingertip I use claw grip on HSK plus but felt weird.
Hey man, I can't imagine anyone being able to claw the HSK Pro. Maybe if you are really tiny?? But in my mind it's designed strictly for fingertip grip.
@@TonyTheTiger1000 sooooooo nice when it works
@@LogPile444 Yeha I copped Ruby Red look dope
The subtleness in the tone XD ....... I suggest,.... touching some grass ROFL
🤣🤣🤙 glad you enjoyed it
Log pile I will have you to blame for my future purchase of this HSK Pro!
Hey Alex H! I'm sorry for that my friend 🤣 just beware the pinned comment explains my unit became unresponsive a day after uploading this video 😥 If you can be patient with the long returns process, and be comfortable with the risk of needing to exercise it, I think you'd love it. Take care man
Currently using the Viper V2 Pro but I just ordered this mouse today, excited to try it. Had to get the ruby red color once I saw G-Wolves post it on twitter. I read a comment that said you can tension the clicks with screws under the front mouse feet. I'd be curious to know if you tried that.
Hey man, i haven't tried tensioning the clicks on my unit but honestly the clicks feel like they've worn in and feel nice to use now. I would consider not tensioning the clicks yourself until they've gone through the wear in process for you.
Also let me know how you get on with your HSK 🤙
i got my mouse for the same reason lmfao
I hope yours has no issues, do you like it?
Yes still getting used to the side buttons lol
@MyTTri I'm not sure I had a problem adapting to mine.
Have you put the grip tape on yours? I think the side tape feels amazing 👏 but I only applied it after my mouse stopped working cos I knew I was going to have to return it 🤣
@@LogPile444 i feel this mouse is a need with grip tape but it makes your mouse like 28g the mouse feels so precise
@MyTTri did you go for the Ace? mine starts at 29g 🤪 I liked the mouse without tape, but honestly now I've felt it with tape, I will put it on my next model if it ever arrives 👌
Need the update bro
Hey man, unfortunately, there's not a lot to update if you have seen the pinned comment. I have an issue with my unit that seems to be that I can't charge it up, so I've changed the battery to the bigger one they provide, which is giving me a bit of extra playtime with the mouse (which I'm enjoying!!) but it's only a matter of time before the battery dies and I'm unable to use it.
I've contacted G Wolves for a replacement, they were initially responsivd, but their customer service is somewhat lacking! I'm now being ghosted and I hope they'll respond soon with a ETA for my replacement.
@@LogPile444 Holy shit! that SUCKS man. I just saw the comment. So unfortunate. Makes potential customers such as me, looking for peer reviews, like yours, a much less attractive option when I see that he customer service is dog. Hope you get a replacement or some type of fix, and hope you get to update your channel with more review of these small forms mice :)
Cheers
@Nicolas T I know what you mean man. I'm now much less likely to pre order from G Wolves, and would rather buy when things are less explosive and more reliable (proven by reviews). If i didn't like the mouse so much I would probably request a refund, but it truly is exceptional - when it works!
I'll certainly keep an eye out for more mice like this, I don't think I could main a "normal" mouse now, the experience of small form mice is (in my opinion) superior to conventional shapes. All the best bro.
@Nicolas T Do you know of any other small form mice that are worth a look btw?? Asking for a friend...👀
@@LogPile444 No idea my friend, I am currently using the Model O- and looking for a mouse upgrade for fingertip. I actually got intrigued by the same comment you were: optimum tech laser eyes lol. Ill wait it ou though, its not like im good or anything ;) Ive always liked the idea of small mice.
Mouse sensor placed horizontally make any difference for you?
I heard about this but I didn't feel any strange behaviour as a result of it. My observation of the HSK pro was I "plugged it in" and straight away i could aim well, with the G Pro X Superlight, it took a little adjustment period for this to be the case.
People keep mentioning this and I haven't experienced anything off about it. Probably all in the mind.
@Meow Tow I agree, I wouldn't be aware of this if people weren't talking about it online. I guess people will look for reasons if they struggle initially with new equipment.
Great video Mr. Log, I like the shout out to optimum(excellent tech tuber) 😂. I will say the suboptimal clicks and side buttons(too far back for my taste) might have been a deal breaker. I fingertip grip with my fingers at the tip of the mouse. With our similar hand size (20x10.5) I'm sure I'd find it just as comfy. The weightlessness is nice, but the battery life..... Ehh. 4 days of battery life for my sora is already bad enough, and I use my mouse easily 12+hrs a day for both work and play. So that would be another deal breaker. I think I'll look into other variants of this size/weight in the future, once companies start getting more adventurous and delve into fingertip grip only mice.. It seems decent otherwise and I'm glad you like it and hope your hsk doesn't develop any QC issues!
Hey man, it's great to have you back!! I'd be interested to see a picture of your grip, it sounds interesting, and yes I can imagine that sort of grip would somewhat limit the mice you could use 🤔 Yea you're right about battery life it is the worst part of the mouse for me, and I am lucky enough to have other mice I can use for work and I'm treating the pro 4k as a gaming only mouse - kind of like having a car for the weekend 🤣
I plan to do a follow-up video in a few weeks to cover anything that may have changed, I am praying for no QC issues!!
@@LogPile444 Glad to be back :).

*I tried to post the first time, but I think youtube doesn't like links in comments, so just throw that at the end of an imgur url, and it should pop up.*
Here's a couple pics of the grip. Its not really a traditional fingertip, I'd say more like a relaxed fingertip.
I've had a decent time with this grip with my first 3 mice (some chinese ergo 12 button, corsair scimitar,
and the model D). Although, with the hsk, I don't think the side buttons will be as accessible as I'd like lol.
The battery life is a big crutch and I hope to see improvements in efficiency with sensors/battery for these
feather-light mice in the future (maybe a Bluetooth mode for browsing, and a 2.4ghz mode for gaming?). Also,
your logic in having one mouse for work and one for play makes sense, I might just do that with the sora🤣.
Will definitely be checking out the follow-up, hopefully all is good and you get some nice frags with it ;).
@@givemethesantahatfoo ahh I see, I've seen some others hold the mouse like this, it's meant to be a good style for control? I have tried to replicate the grip on the HSK Pro and I think you'd only get use out of the front side button, and your thumb would be resting very close to the button - so it may be a bit of a risk, although I'm sure you could make it work if you were willing to adjust your grip slightly - I'm not entirely wedded to one grip style myself, so not sure how easy it would be for you to adjust. It's an expensive risk to take too! I am looking forward to the mouse market getting more experimental too, like you suggest - it feels like it's a matter of time for other companies to start catching on to the lighter finger tip style. We'll see.
I'd be interested to see what Lamzu would come up with for this style of mouse - I've seen they have an ergo option in the works, no honeycomb in the shell and it comes in at mid 40g's.
@@LogPile444 For my personal tastes, it feels more "locked in" than just holding it from the middle like a typical fingertip grip. The only issue is that it tilts the sensor heavily, so I have to use rawaccel to correct it.
My grip and even posture as a whole has changed slightly over my years of pc gaming (started in 15', was a "console kid" before). I used to have my whole arm on the desk, using my elbow as a fulcrum. Great for horizontal accuracy and consistency, not optimal for vertical movement, however. My grip has pretty much always been fingertip heavy, even with brick mice... I guess my longer than average fingers have allowed this. Definitely nice to use a mouse more geared towards it (ninjutso sora @46grams).
I'll be fine with the sora for now, its serving me quite well and magnitudes lighter than my other mice. I'm hoping by this year or the next we'll see some more advancements!
Yep, I saw lamzu's ultralight ergo, the thorn, it looks good and definitely a nice option for the ergo lovers. Was a longtime ergo user myself, till just recently when I switched to ambi and realized I liked it. Maybe I'll go back to ergo again for my next, who knows? It definitely won't be zowies ergo wireless... what a load of b.s. that is, I mean the price... with an older sensor?? that shape better be molded by god himself lol.
