@@chimmyluna Some backgrounds need to be unlocked. You unlock them by traveling to the locations of that background. Some backgrounds also require you to have a certain amount of backgrounds before being able to unlock them
I took a break from Love Nikki for a bit, and I'm happy I came back. I got the Nidhogg suit on the second node for Universe Tide. The backgrounds are super pretty though o.o

Just look the Video, press Pause, and go step by step. What is hard to understand, that you need to have been 1 or more on a 'site' of the city you choose to unlock the background for collecting 'whatever'. Start with a 3 Heart Background, the more Hearts it has, the higher the amount of Visit or complete Backgrounds needed to unlock... In the Text it said, you need to have a specific Item to collect. Never mind exactly what it is, if you just wandering, each 30 min, you get a piece of it, never mind the place, the city or the kingdom you wander arround. It's not bound to that... just Travelling time... Just choose a unlocked 3 Heart Bg, then a Kingdom, then a city, and use the 6 day to 'Wander Arround' Option, as Vivi showed in the Video, so you get after several 'Trips' (Wandering Arround) the choosen BG for free...
I know how to do it👍I got two backgrounds. One background is going on. I will get it today or tomorrow. And I never use the site tickets. Because it costs diamonds. So, I will just click " Wander about " button by which we can travel freely but the travel time ends after two hours. So, we have to check it for every two hours to get the background fastly.. I don't mind though. Because it makes me glad as my diamonds are saved🙃
Each Speed up cost you 5 Dias, that's for 30 minutes speed up. For 1 h = 10 Dias 3 Hearts Background need 84 h = 840 Dias 4 Hearts Background need 168 h = 1680 Dias 5 Hearts Background need 360 h = 3600 Dias
They are only showing up during a longer trip, when you are travelling, and show up randomly, you just have a limited time to fullfill it. Might be, that you've been to early or logged in to late... It's luck

Some of us like to write a diary... so if you want to record your Trip, you can write one, and put photos into it. That's the main reason... but it's not really a must, just for fun. I found until now 4 chain Encounters, where you get some free stickers for the dairy too... so one site tells you to go to the next destination in red letters... but you get those by random too, not at first - just be patient
