The song "waiting on June" saved my life. Genuinely. I was deep in depression, drinking, drugs etc. This song made me stop in my tracks, I hope to find my own June. Such a well sung song and feelings so deep they touch souls, even my rotten soul. Thanks for this. Thanks for me finding this. Hope I'm in the right track. Thanks.
I’m sitting here and the tears are running down my face after spending a week with my elderly parents, who are in fear of what the next phase of life will look like for them. I have a much deeper understanding of what they are clinging to after hearing this amazing song. A gift, 🙏 ❤️
I was at work listening to this in the background after listening to Waitin on June I packed my stuff and ran home to my husband. Make the most of every possible minute
I'm ashamed to say I knew nothing of Holly Williams 'til the NPR podcasts dropped into my aural sphere. I was immediately taken aback and cried on hearing "Waiting on June". Beautiful melodies, with lyrics of simplicity and understatement, which capture what all of us feel. Universal yet unique.
I'm about to marry my beloved and found "Waiting on June" so bitter sweet. What a vivid story-teller she is. Incredible voice, wonderful stage presence...a gift!
Happy tears...every time I see her play. Thank you for having her at Tiny Desk Concert. Real music and stories that touch people like hers are such a treasure.
Hee hee, a wonderful session....but I turned on the closed captioning to be sure I got all the lyrics, and they could use a bit of ''fine tuning'' if possible? Thanks for ALL these sessions!!!!!
She reminds me so much of Lucinda Williams. What a lovely lady with heart-breaking songs, I loveit. PS: Is it just me, or the male guitar player looks like Theon Gravejoy from Game Of Thrones?
A whole lot of "Cryin' in the Beer". Her songs are all sad and depressing. It might be great therapy for Miss William's to sing this set. But must we endure it? a real DRAG, if you ask me. Ok, she has a pleasant enough voice. Playing is pretty good also. But why must every single song be so sad and depressing? How about some EMOTIONAL VARIETY! I promise you, the audience will tune out real quick if that's all Miss Williams has.
SladrerIkke JOY IS ALSO REAL LIFE!. And so is HAPPINESS. What's with all the sadness here? Isn't there enough pain and suffering in the world already? So now we got to listen to a bunch more? AHHH QUIT YOUR BELLYACHEN!!
John Stuart lol - the only one whining is you? Sad emotions trigger sad songs? Nothing wrong with that. It's part of life like joy and love. I am sure you can find a lot of feel-good songs out there.
John Stuart Ha, the only real "DRAG" here is you. No one's making you listen, man. Funny that the joyous, happy one is the first to post a negative comment. We're all lovin' it. Her music is beautiful and poignant. If you can't appreciate it go listen to Taylor Swift.
3 man acoustic jam is as good as music gets. I think Holy is great. The fact these songs never hit the radio tells a lot about the music industry.

Hope you make it Tim. Very best of luck, stay human. Your soul is very far from rotten.
Beautiful story, brother. Stay in the light. We are thinking of you.

Holly Williams is an absolute National Treasure. Her songs are the story of all of us. Thank you for being on the planet, Ms. Williams.

Wow! Love the tone of her voice and the lyrics!
She has a way of storytelling in her songs that captivates me.
Notice Anderson East playing guitar and background vocals. Won't be long before he has his own Tiny Desk show!
+Taylor Smith I love his music!
+Taylor Smith Any day now.
One year later, we still wait. Waiting on Anderson...
I didn’t realize that was Anderson East! I didn’t know why he looked like.
Bravo! She serves her family heritage well.
A lot of genuine emotion infused in those lyrics. She is carrying on a family legacy, but her talent stands on it's own.
Love this. Great music! Holly is one of the best!
Loved this!! what an amazing velvety voice she has
Just so much unique and rich talents in Nashville. Love Holly Williams.

Loving her talent and songwriting. Anderson East singing backup. I mean it gets no better than that. Storytelling at its finest. Thank you Holly.🙏🏼❤️

damn waiting on June literally gave me chills. great song.
Oh mercy. Feed your souls with this one.
That is some good stuff...grateful to have stumble on this. I could listen to her all day.
Holly is much larger than "Waiting on June," folks. That song touched hundreds of millions of folks, but Holly is more than that song.
Wow, Anderson East on guitar and backup vocals....
Like someone else said, carries so much emotion in her voice. Great show
Thank you again, Bob Boilen!

I hate country yet I really enjoyed this. This music really shows that percussion really isn't needed in order to make music to dance to
❤ ...
This young lady is actually a lot better than her ancestors! I am a big Hank Jr. fan, but he can't sing like this girl.
she is to fucking good!!
How has Anderson east not had one of these for himself yet?
Pardon answer: at the bass we have the same person that play the bass in Sugarlan Band of Jennifer Nettles? O yeah great session-woman isn't? thanks
wow
🥰
Holy Shit.
If you don't like Holly Williams you probably not like me and I'm okay with that.
Who is that bass player? She is fantastic.
Might someone tell me about that beautiful bass instrument, please?
Its an electric stand-up bass. Since its electric the gigantic body isn't necessary.
holy shit.
Is that Anderson East?
I like Shelton, but Holly got the songwriting gene.
Dang
I would never cheat on a woman like that... and the bass player. Love women that play instruments. I guess I have 1 requirement...
She got the year of Hank's death wrong but what a talent.
Looks like John Travolta :D
Josie
I like her and her granddad and 1/2 bruder, but her dad? not so much.
A whole lot of "Cryin' in the Beer". Her songs are all sad and depressing.

Just like real life? I think it is awesome.

Actually, John, I agree with you.
This recording is not very good. She is singing really out of tune. I went to a different recording of her's and it was way better.
Privileged. Sorry
