Sad for both William and Marcus they're not villains like Viktor they're just tragic and broken they didn't deserve to die but Selene and Michael are anti-heroes that's why they don't really care
@@striped_hyena18 I agree at least with William he didn't get a choice in the matter Marcus is a little different he had a lot of time to study it and cure himself and his brother or at least reverse the major downsides of their disease plus should of put victor down himself since victor was a full on piece of crap most of the time but I also understand why William had to die in the end if they left him alive and free he would of spread his disease to a lot of people who would spread it as well making a rampaging army of werewolf's no one could really stop so the moment he was freed there was no other real choice.

Luckily for Marcus, Tanis and Selene knew about the key and where William was located. Upon becoming a hybrid I believe Marcus' goal was to turn William into one as well so that he could transform back into human form, this would solve the whole rampaging werewolve pandemic that made Marcus turn to Viktor in the first place.
If Markus had just known!! If he had bitten him William could have been the most badass hybrid. A Corvinus werewolf dominant hybrid?? Man!! Such an opportunity wasted. Like Michael but 10x more powerful. And imagine his FORM. Ohhh William would have been my favorite hybrid.
He probably didn't want to risk it because William most likely would have attacked in retaliation, especially after having told him he'd sooner hurt himself than him.

William is actually a Werewolf, not Lycan. Lycan can transform back into their human form at will and their mouth are much shorter and less fur compared to Werewolf. Werewolf have that majestic looks.

William was the best thing about this movie, IMHO, I am so glad he wasn't CGI. But Practical effects. Just sucks he was killed off. Even tho he was locked up for years. Lycan is just the short term for Lycanthrope. Still a werewolf. Regardless. Movies need to stop trying to change what a Werewolf is. Even if one can't change back to their human form. Let people be free to create and adapt their own mythology. There are fantasy worlds where dragons are actually wyverns and others where they differents species. That's not important. Underworld was a success because of his modern adaptation of Werewolves/Vampires myths.
