- My turbocharged BMW E36 project car has been proven to push out 350 whp...time to see if I can keep up or pull ahead of Eli's Audi S4 (B8.5). With his recent performance mods (IE tune w/ upgraded supercharger pulley, AWE exhaust etc.), let's celebrate 10k subs on the channel with some road pulls! Congratulations on 10k! You should get a flat foot shift setup to help you keep boost through the gears, would make it more competitive
Thanks man! and I agree, maintaining boost during gear transitions is my next step to keeping the car pulling strong. Hopefully I can make something happen with a standalone setup.

No dude, your Audi has moar power because you can keep the third gear longer being both equal in acceleration. Same power applied to the asphalt until he changes to 4th. You keep it pushing longer, thats the difference in power between the two.

@@IgnitionTube you said that cars are pretty even as far as power goes but you just have a longer gear! And that contradicts the term of power! There is a lot of miss conception with this.
Your car has a longer 3rd gear, and while both of you are in 3rd gear, both of you are applying the same amount of power to the ground as you both have similar accelerations. This also means that, at the same speed in 3rd gear you probably are at a lower rpm range while having the same power as him at higher rpms, which means you have a higher torque curve.
When he shifts from 3rd to 4th, you are still pushing the 3rd gear, and there you can clearly see the difference in power!
If both cars had the same 3rd gear ratios it would seem that yours pulls much harder than his.

I have the coolest 94 e34 525i ever 😎 with the same engine he has. Without turbo... not allowed to do that kind of things to cars over here for street use :/

Thanks for the sweet tips with the turbo build. Is epoxy necessary for the M50 plastic hose that goes into the intake manifold?
It is to seal up the fitting properly long term. However, I just purchased a fitting that has been tailored for boost setups, it’s a solid metal replacement and has a clamp to maintain pressure on the seals rebooteng.com/parts/m50-intake-manifold-fitting/
Thanks man, just epoxied it today. I saw that fitting but couldn’t justify the price after continuously dropping cash on my M3 lol maybe in the future.
