      no, fuck that. stop trying to get non gamers to use this shit. it was created for gamers to use to communicate with friends while gaming. now the shit is getting too damned overcomplicated trying to pander to everyone else while throwing money begs in my face every 5 minutes trying to get me to pay for features i have less than zero interest in.

    I think this video misses its target. It like every other Discord tutorial I've seen focuses on creating a new server because that what kids are interested in doing. But new users such as parents and educators don't actually want to create a server right off the bat; only the kids want to do that. Your objective doesn't match up with the likely motivation of the stated target audience.
    I as an educator want to know how to find a specific person on Discord. Also I want to know how to join a specific group a friend told me about. How do I do that? And I believe some percentage of adults over 40 will also want to do what I want to do.
    Thank you for your effort.

    This is really good thank you. Last year I did a free Open Uni MOOC 'Take your teaching online' which mentioned 'Discord' as a platform that was rapidly developing for an educational use; though never got around to even signing up. This is really very useful to know - Thank you very much. Thank you for your videos.

    I would love to know if a program like the description below exists (I’m just not very technological). My dream is to have a Spanish/English institute. And I am starting to plan everything since now. I was hoping to find a computer program like this one:
    From their houses the students will fill out a form online with their info ( a form where they are going to insert their personal info) and when they sent the form. They Will get automatically a diagnostic English or Spanish test . They take the test from their houses and the system will create a spread sheet with the diagnostic test grades of the students and will send the grades to the students automatically . I want the system to keep emailing promotions and discounts (promotion campaigns that I will create) or send regular emails to the students until they purchase my course. Does anyone know a program like this? This would be for a real physical institute in a physical classrooms but I want to know if there is any program like this. Thanks

      Every platform used by teachers students and schools should be carefully evaluated before being used. What work is one setting doesn't necessarily work in another. Also policy and local legislation needs to be taken into consideration when making any edtech decision.

    Дискорд разочаровал.Там сидят сборище персонажей разного сорта.там не только персонажи сидящие в самом дискорде,там и сами лица обслуживающий сам дискорд (то есть это техподдержка самого дискорда и все кто с этим связан). Этот дискорд хвалят со всех сторон.это отчасти правда,но есть обратная сторона этого дискорда.о котором мало кто говорит.нахождение в этом дискорде может быть чревато для некоторых.лучше дважды подумайте.стоит ли идти в этот дискорд?и чего вам нужно от этого дискорда?
    Плюсы:
    1) может попасться местами,но не всегда нормальный коллектив для общения на разные темы;
    2) прохождение рейдов в играх которые без общения никак не пройти.даже если постараться;
    3)рассчитан на кооперативные игры;
    Минусы:
    1)в дискорде нет "конфиденциальности" от слова совсем никакой.;
    2)в дискорде могут попастся разного вида персонажи (уголовники,хакеры,богатые персонажи,юмористы и отбитые на башку персонажи которым плевать на всё и техподдержка самого дискорда),а также молодежь не совсем адыкватная.;
    3)обслуживающий персонал самого дискорда который следит за самим дискордом не соблюдает своих же правил от слова совсем.(техподдержка и все кто связан с дискордом).
    4)в дискорде могут только "избранные" персонажи кого-то поругать,обматерить и так далее.иначе тебя весь дискорд самиже с дерьмом смешают в прямом смысле слова.
    5)общение с другом в дискорде разглашают сами хакеры и обслуживающий персонал дискорда.тайна переписки не соблюдается вовсе.
    ТАК ЧТО СЛЕДИ ЗА ТЕМ ЧТО ТЫ ГОВОРИШЬ И КОМУ ТЫ ГОВОРИШЬ.
    P.S: на данный момент присутствовать в дискорде не стоит надобности.там обитают в данный момент некое общество у которых свои законы и правила.они смешают с дерьмом любого.

      Diskord disappointed.There sit a collection of characters of different sorts.There are not only characters sitting in the discord itself, there and the very person servicing the discord itself (that is, it tech support itself discord and all those associated with it). This discord is praised from all sides, it's partly true, but there is a downside to discord, which few people talk about.Being in this discord can be dangerous for some.Better think twice.Should you go to this discord and what you need from it?
      Pros:
      1) can get in places,but not always a normal group to communicate on various topics;
      2) passing raids in games that have no way to pass without communication.Even if you try;
      3) is designed for cooperative games;
      Cons:
      1) in discord there is no "privacy" from the word no..;
      2) in discord can get all kinds of characters (criminals, hackers, rich characters, humorists and characters who don't care about anything and tech support of the discord), as well as young people who are not quite adykvatnaya..;
      3) Service personnel of the discord itself, who watch the discord does not comply with their own rules from the word go. (techsupport and all those who are associated with discord).
      4)In discord can only "elected" characters scold, swear and so on.Otherwise you the whole discord themselves mix with shit in the literal sense of the word.
      5) communication with a friend in discord is disclosed by the hackers themselves and the staff of discord.correspondence secrecy is not respected at all.
      6) if you start to argue with someone, his defenders have nothing to do with the swearing. and will begin to bait them. and then the whole discord is connected.
      7) Hackers and comedians bent on his head begin to seek out people via the Internet to mess with their homes.
      SO WATCH WHAT YOU SAY AND TO WHOM YOU SAY IT.
      P.S: At the moment there is no need to be present in discord.There are some society that have their own laws and rules.They mix with the shit of anyone.

      Discord disappointed. There are a bunch of characters of different sorts. There are not only characters sitting in the discord itself, there are also the persons serving the discord itself (that is, this is the technical support of the discord itself and everyone connected with it). This discord is praised from all sides. This is partly true, but there is a downside to this discord. Which few people talk about. Being in this discord can be fraught for some. Better think twice. Is it worth going to this discord? And what do you need from this discord?
      Pros:
      1) can get caught in places, but not always a normal team for communication on different topics;
      2) passing raids in games that cannot be passed without communication, even if you try;
      3) designed for cooperative games;
      Minuses:
      1) in the discord there is no "confidentiality" from the word at all .;
      2) different types of characters can be caught in the discord (criminals, hackers, rich characters, humorists and characters who don't care about everything and the technical support of the discord itself), as well as young people who are not quite adequate .;
      3) the attendants of the discord itself who follow the discord itself do not follow their own rules from the word at all. (Technical support and everyone who is associated with the discord).
      4) in discord, only "selected" characters can scold someone, swear at someone, and so on. Otherwise, they will mix the whole discord with shit in the literal sense of the word.
      5) communication with a friend on the discord is disclosed by the hackers themselves and the discord service personnel. The secrecy of correspondence is not respected at all.
      6) if you start swearing with someone, then his defenders who have nothing to do with swearing will crawl out, and the persecution will start from their side, and after that absolutely the entire discord is connected.
      7) hackers and "knocked down on their heads" (they can and will pretend to be) comedians begin to look for people via the Internet to annoy them at home. Seeing a discord blows their heads completely.
      8) in discord, not only children, but also adults (pretending to be fools) take part in this.
      SO FOLLOW WHAT YOU SAY AND TO WHOM YOU SPEAK.
      PS: at the moment, there is no need to be present in the discord. There is a certain society that has its own laws and rules at the moment. They will mix anyone with shit. either you (the group united) with shit will mix or do not knowing who at its discretion).
      P.S: this is a kind of group that found its own cozy little world in discord and choose new ones and evaluate them, then they draw conclusions, and then the consequences.
