    Thank you so much for taking time to discuss Woodhenge and the surrounding landscape. I think it’s becoming more and more clear that Stonehenge was just one feature in a massive complex which evolved over thousands of years.

    My late husband and I visited Stonehenge on our honeymoon (we’re from Australia) in 2013. We weren’t sure whether or not it would be touristy and overrated, but still we were drawn to it. It did not disappoint. We visited at sunrise in December and it was magical. What a special site. I hope to go back one day and bring my children. Great video too. I wish I had seen it before my visit as I would have liked to have explored more with the wider context. I can’t help but theorise that perhaps the area was a funeral rite. That the funeral/wake was celebrated at Woodhenge (perhaps meat left on the bones was a share for the deceased), followed by a procession to Stonehenge where people were laid to rest...

      As a once professional student with minors in anthropology and history, classes in archeology, plus a degree in something else, I'd say guessing the meaning of anything which is ancient is no more scientific than three witches stirring a pot. Only way to know would be a time machine.

    So interesting thank you! At first glance, the timber henge appears to be a building foundation of some kind? An ancient resort for the Stonehenge visitors perhaps? 🙂
    Also, I’ve always wondered if the negative spaces between the Stonehenge stones have significance. Watching the winter solstice just now, there appears to be the rough shape of a pregnant woman silhouette.
    I’ve also wondered about whether there were any wild animal migrations being emulated. A particular “significant” bird migrated from the area where the stones were sourced, down to where they were placed every year?

    Which way up we're the trees inserted into the ground? I like to imagine the trees being excavated from the ground with great care to preserve the roots. The trees were then replanted bottom up, the rootstock splaying out skywards, creating a roof for the henge.

    You 2 woman your combined colors of (Red and yellow) are Taoist/Taoism colors representing Red- Sun/1st Father/ Sun-Sunlight causes gravity and Yellow- Earth/Eden/1st Mother.
    The (T/Tee shapes) found on some of the megalithic stones represent Taoism- Flow of the Universe. Sun-Sunlight causes gravity and has small magnets flowing from the Sun to the planet, Positive to negative (Dust, Dirt, Stone) is a negative charge.
    While opposites attract.
    (People, Plants and animals) have Big magnets flowing from Negative to positive, left to right and have a positive Aura and are connected to the planet.

      @@limelight1397 yes, I've recently seen some footage of Obama visit, but the one that got me awake was a photo from way back, but to know that in 1700 was reconstructed? Or built then and this was a big bluff that stonehenge is not old at all?

    • @limelight1397
      @limelight1397 2 года назад

      @@mazzy8216 No. The stones are coming from Wales as archeologist said/found but there are many opinions how and why Stonehenge was created. I've seen several docu's on history channel and they have different explanations. The latest I know about was that it was an ancient calendar for harvest time and so on. That make sense to me. But it is very old no doubt about that.
