oh, bravo sir. your vibrato reminds me of the peak judy garland era (40s maybe?). so nostalgic and old-fashioned in the best way. would you call yourself a crooner? if not, i think you should.
A country dance was being held in a garden I felt a bump and heard an "Oh, beg your pardon" Suddenly I saw polka dots and moonbeams All around a pug-nosed dream The music started and was I the perplexed one I held my breath and said "May I have the next one?" In my frightened arms, polka dots and moonbeams Sparkled on a pug-nosed dream There were questions in the eyes of other dancers As we floated over the floor There were questions but my heart knew all the answers And perhaps a few things more Now in a cottage built of lilacs and laughter I know the meaning of the words "Ever after" And I'll always see polka dots and moonbeams When I kiss the pug-nosed dream
by the way, i really like your style on that piano. i'm personally not a fan out overly-ostentatious frills and ornaments that distort the melody beyond recognition. this was perfect.
I;m sorry I don't like this version it's too slow, this is a bouncy tune that should be performed with a smile, not an epic where the singer gets a toilet break in the middle then comes back to take over while the pianist goes for his toilet break.
Bill Evans, Wes Montgomery, Sarah Vaughn with Clifford Brown, Bud Powell, Oscar Peterson with Dexter Gordon (plus others) do it in a slow tempo. Polka Dots and Moonbeams was written as a ballad.
🤣 I thought the bathroom breaks were a bit wierd also. They all sound lovely though. Beautiful rendition. Most singers who recorded it did so in a slow tempo. I haven't heard any uptempo beats on this song. Which recording are you referring to?
You guys are the future of Jazz.
the future is bleak

Sweet. This is my kind of music. Miss nights out listening to Jazz. I should go out and find it again.
That's what you call super-talented! He can do it all; he sings beautifully and has a beautiful touch on the piano..... Bravo!

Loverly rendition of this beautiful standard. And great stand-up bass tone.
Wow. Cool!!
What a soulful performance! Love it.
Soulful is the perfect description.
Love the piano accompaniment.
Bryan's inflection and voice are great. The sound could have been juiced a little (reverb + volume) to help.
Lovely

not only that, jazz is fun when all the musicians get a turn to showcase their ability/talents with a solo or something. this was a great version.
@G Harrison
What you said was ABSOLUTE nonsense!
