I just bought a chrome 99 Dyno Compe and been chipping away at it for the past two months. There are more glorious bikes to fix up, but that was the one I envied growing up. Respect.

Building a 97 performer right now, it’s HARD to find complete rigs, not costing a fortune ESPECIALLY in good condition.
This one’s a great find, that chrome is peach…super fine steel wool and some WD and I could make it look damn near brand new.

They should have reworded the decals on these as “thief magnet” 😂😂😂 Everyone I know (including myself) who owned a gt/dyno back in the 90s/early 00s eventually lost it to a thief. My first real bmx was a chrome 99’ vfr that I eventually modded out w gt pegs front to back, gt mags/gt gel pad seat/and gyro. Man I loved that bike. Could NOT leave them things outside though lol or hell even stand in one place too long with one 👀👊🏻🚵🏽♂️🤦🏻♂️😂
Agreed. My 92 VFR was stolen, but we got lucky and found it.
My chrome Dyno Nitro was stolen from in front of my house... right next to my front door behind a fence!
Always wanted a Haro but they were too expensive Dyno GT VFR was the way to go good tough bike and affordable

Nice! Good old Dyno VFR for your first bike. Currently piecing together my childhood bike, a 96' Dyno Compe. But I wish like hell I still had kept it.

Thanks! Yea, I checked the serial number and it's a 1995 frame. I ended up purchasing some vintage peregrine mags for it. I'll being doing the update video on it very soon. It cleaned up nice!

Lucky. I threw away 3 spoke gt wheels that someone threw away on the curve.(im a garbageman) i have been looking for those rims for 15 years since my bike got stolen and when i came across them at work i threw them away. The owner was watching so i had no chose.

They don’t make them like they use too! I’m not a fan of these newer freestyle bikes, the smaller frame and just the way they function compared to the 80s/90s bikes.
It’s not a GT Dyno. It’s either a GT or a Dyno. That’s like saying you have a ford Mercury.
