Dyno VFR was my first expensive bike. I use to hit the 12 foot slingshots on it at M.O.D Dracut. I was the only 10 year old hammering the biggest jumps w the older dudes. Good times man
I had the chrome version of this bike, definitely brings back memories of the early 2000s. During the second year having it, I've swapped some parts, went brakeless and totally removed the gyro system. I've basically converted it into a trails bike lol.
My first bmx was a chrome dyno air bmx all original parts and still have the bike today with the original parts on it it's like a time machine that takes you back to the good old days of bmx before Walmart crap when you walked into a bicycle shop and bought a bike
I had a Dyno comp, and it had the Dyno Spin Tech stem with an integrated Gyro. It worked great and looked clean! Someone should bring back that design..
My Dyno Air that I used to have in the very early 2000's had a very similar frame, those exact bars and mag wheels. All that chrome could've blinded someone on a sunny day😂! All this build needs is decals with a dope colorway.
I wish I hadn't gotten rid of all the parts I used to have. I had that sprocket on a green/black 94 ish Redline 440 expert. It was such a mix of random parts most kids at my middle school would be like wtf 😄
I have a bmx flatbed I put mags on I also added. Dyno comp stickers it has a gt sprocket and blue tires and old scholl bmx seat and post mags are black with blue tires
I’m doing a rebuild on Same frame. Do you have a list of parts you used. Some I can’t seem to find like the correct head set for a hollow top bolt cap and the brakes and cable (I found the tech 77’s.) my 12 yo son loves you bike rebuild!!
I was wondering the same thing. I get it is probably an original old school sprocket but the rest of the bike is restored. Doesn't look right with that unrestored sprocket on there. I would've restored the sprocket too.
To anyone that knows and can tell me what is the year of a Dyno Compe that looks exactly like this frame except it doesn't have the integrated brake mounts on the frame chainstays???
i had a 97 dyno compe chrome with skyway tuff 3s and tektro v break adaptors the gt bashguard under a profile ally chainring and a fishbone gyro it got stolen
Awesome but that Sprocket needs paint. Where are the stickers dude. Other than that Badly build bro. These were real Bmx bikes. It took me a while to get use to the newer bikes.
Yknow i cant knock the build, but for a mid school dyno it isnt very mid school dyno, you shoulda had it a darker color with some 48s, pegs, and a dinner plate sprocket. this is imo but it sure would fit the bike better for suuuure. at least you should do more builds with 48s
Love Dyno bikes, but you could have done somthing with the sprocket , it makes the whole build look bad .and where is the decals? Come on guys i do a better job than that lol!

Sick build but at the start you said skyway mags and ended up with gt mags and why the sprocket wasn't powder coated in white ?
Well Done! Got one in my garage I need to rebuild. Time to start looking for parts.
I'm diggin the sprocket..Reminds me of the Centra 7 car rims..and the 3 spoke mags are nice too..🤙🏽

I would have had to get the sprocket repainted too .looks good.
I have a bmx flatbed I put mags on I also added. Dyno comp stickers it has a gt sprocket and blue tires and old scholl bmx seat and post mags are black with blue tires
Great bike, great build too.👍👍
Sick paint job!! Im about to powder coat my D Comp now!! my (chrome frame) welds keep rusting every year and tired of scrubbing it off
My man cooked those grips
Always wanted a baby blue Gt performer
Needs white GT 6 point mags, a white dominator seat, and that sprocket powdercoated. Are you going to install a sticker kit on it?
best of all your videos great old school bike but the voice dubbing was really old school like an old kung fu movie
These build vids are sick! Are front and rear Dia-Compe Hombre's identical and direct fit?
yup matching brakes

I have that frame in white . Wish I could find the decals
I'm almost done finishing my 2001 Dyno Air. I've owned it since summer 08. Question, why didn't you guys powder coat the sprocket?
