I am a great Western Movie person . I am 78 years old and still enjoy a good old fashioned movie with a clean plot . Not the vulgar stuff people are forced to watch.
Keep up the good work.
Glad you enjoyed it!
The night scenes in this movie were so dark that I couldn't tell what was going on. I find it that way often in old movies. But I enjoyed listening to it!
Good movie. Good action and decent actors. I always like it when the bad guys get what's coming to them.
I’m 67 years old, i see this movie for the first time !!! I love what i have seen( good cast, colour, a good story), more please ??? ❤❤❤😊😊😊 L.M.
Glad you enjoyed it
I love westerns . AGE 79YRS.
I’m Algerian. I love deeply western movies specialy classics...
More to come!
As a western buff this is a good old fashion western movie, The only actors I knew was the sergeant and Peggy Castle., and John Smith.
Danke, für diesen wunderbaren Western!!!👍👍👍👍🫠
It is a great Western Classic Movie💙
Tony Martin an unlikely western cowboy. His singing career started in his grammar school glee club. Was a popular crooner during the big band era and had a bunch of songs that made the hit parade.
Peggy Castle was one of the prettiest actresses in the 🎬 movies
Thanks for watching!
Wow, that is cool
Yes, he sang the song “Rawhide “! 😊
@@Gene-dm6pm Frankie Laine sang the Rawhide theme song.
That was Frankie Laine.@@Gene-dm6pm
Peggy Castle, I'm watching for sure!
Good choice!
@@robtw88Right
Pretty good movie. Lots of action.
Ron Randell, Australian actor and very talented
LOL! I love the story about arrows. The truth is, they're feathered to cause it to spin for stability, just like a bullet, not "fly horizontal" to go through a ribcage. But hey, it was a clever myth
VERY nice ending!
1st I watch Rob Word's "A WORD ON WESTERNS". Now I have even more of the best classics I grew up watching at theater. Yee-haww to Rob W for sharing with us all. 👍👍 10👑
Couple of twists for a routine story. Generally wooden acting (Lucky Tony could sing!). Peggy makes it worthwhile when she's on screen!
Like alot of others I've watched alot of Westerns and never seen Tony Martin before, Movie was much better than anticipated with a good story. Sad to see that Peggy Castle died too young at 45 due to alcohol problems.
Finding a decent, wholesome, family friendly, morally clean and inoffensive movie these days is like finding a needle in a haystack, especially one that I've never seen before. Its like hitting the Jackpot!
super western,merci beaucoup
It was always noticable to me, 99% of all the Western Movies overlook the actors having an era hairstyle. It's particularly noticable in the 1940's, 50's, 69's, due to the women's hairstyles having been so "styled, fixed, and/or bleached".
Maybe it's just me, but the (Perms, rollers, teasing, hairspray, are styles), are really easy to overcome in the "Make-up Department".
In the era, the 1800's, shampoo had yet to be commonly available. They used homemade Soap with natural herbs added, and eggs, milk, honey, oils like Olive Oul, seed oils, and animal fats, etc, to mousturize and soften the hair and skin.
Natural hair, combed and tied back with a string, strips of rawhide, if women had the access and money, ribbons or pieces of cloth f9lded and sewn, were used to enhance their appearance, but in the Country, West, or on the Frontier, they used what was available. Often cloth used like a turban or scarf and a hat, would be common. Hair pins made from wood were common.
Men had simple haircuts, the top of the head hair would largely be as long as their hair cut at the neckline area. This and the limiteed or lack of hair products is why photos of the Men in uniform/Civil War era, overwhelmingly looked unruly, or as if they needed a "cut and comb" was common, to our observation.
Often, longer hair was easier to manage, a string of rawhide and hat kept their hair out of their face. Various types of oils and grease, or egg whites and water acted as a styling product.
Anthripilogists veeified this thriugh physical remains mummified in peat bogs, of Ireland and England.
At any rate, it just seems an effort to replicate a simple hairstyle would be reasonably easy to accomplish. It certainly would make for a far more authentic appearance.
In spite of my personal OCD traits, I still enjoy the older Westerns. The most desirable of all Westerns, to my taste, largely having been those of the lare 1940', 50's, and 1960's to about 1966. Particularly those Directed by John Ford. Most 9ften with John Wayne, like "McClintock", "The Horse Soldiers", "Rio Grande", "The Searchers, "Rio Bravo" with John Wayne and Dean Martin. Then there's others like: "Duel in Diablo", "The Glory Guys", "The Magnificent Seven",and earlier, "The Caribou Trail " starring Randolph Scott, "Ride the Man Down" starring Ella Raines, and "The Desperados " starring Randolph Scott and Glenn Ford .
These movies truly top my list of all time favorites.
I wonder if they ever imagined that some 50 - 70 years later, so many would be watching, enjoying, and appreciating, their creative works.
Yes I agree about the womens' hairstyles, they stay clean and perfect after going through dirt and dust etc., the old films needed the actresses to be glamorous.
Thank you 😘
You're welcome 😊
This was a great Western, and one I had not seen before, so I enjoyed it even more! I've been a huge Western fan since I was a child, so I've watched most Westerns many times, including all the great old B Westerns. But I hate almost all of the Westerns made after the 1950's with a few exceptions. I especially dislike the gory, violent, dirty, spaghetti Westerns that came in during the 1960's and 1970's. Thank you for posting a good Western, and in color, that I had not seen before.
You're very welcome!
Thank you for sharing this movie. Enjoyed it well before work. 🤩
Pretty good movie! I had never seen Tony Martin in any movie before. He's was a fairly decent Actor. Thanks for posting this movie. 👍🎥🍿

Great movie. Wish I could have brightened it up to see it better.
I liked Peggy Castle and I'd never seen Tony Martin in a movie.
Look up his IMBD to find the movies he has been in...
Tony Martin’s wife was more well known.
Pretty good Oater. Good Cinematography.
Martin carried himself and sounded like Robert Wagner. John Smith, 'Slim Sherman' of 'Laramie.'
just can't imagine running so many horses that much without some of them stepping in gopher holes, etc., & breaking legs. with indians on your trail it wld be the end of u! pretty good movie. very good actors. & i've been passing this up for a cpl months! ty.
New actors to me. Good storyline

@@robtw88I know I am.
Good film I enjoyed it good story .
Thank you!
You're welcome!
well worth a watch
So far one shot through the arm with arrow and one shot in lig with bullet and no digging for it. Both men using arm and leg as though not hurt. Amazing how movies have magic healing powers, great movie 🍿 though
Excellent movie
Very fine story and well done.
Thanks for sharing it! I always enjoy watching Old Western Movies though. 👍👌👏

@@robtw88 Very grateful, wonderful watching these great old Westerns. Thanks again.
Was a VERY GOOD movie,!!!
Glad you liked it
HUH? Interesting western . thks.
Great interesting all the way. Please watch.
Cracking western
Good movie ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
It is a traditional western movie
Tony made it to over twice the age of Peggie (98/45)! Peggie, sadly, like the whiskey too much. An entertaining film.
More of the unknow movies that equal this caliber!!!
I like the cinematography but I hate the trip wires
800 rifles with 10,000 rounds of ammunition you could almost load each rifle once if you kept Iron Wolf away from the ammo.
Never heard of Tony Martin apparently a great singer & has quite a few films under his belt.. but he wasn’t convincing in this film, I couldn’t get into his character.. good movie though. Peggy died young from alcoholism..
Si je ne me trompe, Bill Pronzini a écrit une série de romans mêlant intrigue policière et western mettant en scène un héros nommé Quincannon. Inspiration de ce film ?
Peggy should have stripped Tony of his sleek cowboy outfit for herself to wear. Peggy , like a lot of other actresses in Westerns , like to wear " the tough women pants " roll. Peggy is wearing her own pants after she knocks out Tony with a mirror.
The person or persons whom wrote the script for this...Cardboard western..
Should be sentenced to
A seven year contract...
With...Leith theatre Edinburgh Scotland. PS.
Make that three life terms
To run consecutive!!!
LOL
😲
I never say this movie am an old school guy
Tony Martin...in a western??!!
Yeah, I remember someone said all singers want to be actors and all actors want to be singers! )
Is this a movie...or a TV show?
It’s probably a movie, MGM producers….1956.
Was that Malachi Throne? From it takes a thief?
Nope John Ducette, my bad😅
I don’t care what anyone else says about this movie, but I liked it….love old westerns….👍❤️🙏🏼. At least this is better than some of the films I’ve watched recently, lots of garbage out there I’d never take my kids to, too much sexual overtones and too much lewd language which doesn’t really make the film any better, only detracts from the quality of the story itself. But….I guess that’s the whole problem today…..quality of films has gone poooof like the internet when it goes down or crashes, lost in limbo….🤔😢😩🤣
Well said! )

I don’t like Tony Martin too much but I don’t know why though!
How old are you because I’ve seen him in movie but not this one so there you go
Tony Martin is a singer
This is high school level acting. It's really bad! I watched the whole movie.😁
I dont like movies with lots of night settings
Good to know.
I agree because the scenes are dark & very different see the cast...
its too dark
This film easily dated by the naff art work used for the credits and the equally naff intro song, dreadful lyrics knocked out on the fly.
Why do westerns have to have cheesy songs to introduce them or worse still, in the middle of them. They add nothing to the story, in fact they detract from it. Luckily I can skip them on RUclips but they must have been unbearable at the movies where you had to sit through them.
En castellano hablado 😡😈🇨🇱
Never heard of it but the main actor is pretty dull, hard to watch.
Is Tony Martin an actor? He doesn't have the face or experience. He should be stick to singing and doing small parts in movies.
perchè non lo caricate in Italiano grazie
Pretty average
Hokey, woke, plastic acting😢
No woke in 1956!😂
B movie. Tony Martin: good singer, lousy actor.
Tony Martin looks a lot like Tony Curtis.
A. Very. Good. Howdy. Movie. 💯💢💥💫💣🗯💣👌👍👌👍💣🗯💣
