As much as I love Brooke, I wouldn't blame any of the for being furious and with her for keeping Jamie's paternity a secret.

Somewhere, someone must have the clip circa 1989-1990, where Ruth & Opal are fighting about Tad. And Opal says, "what gives you the right to blah blah" and Ruth shouts, "I AM HIS MOTHER!!" and I'd do anything to see that again, I get chills just typing it, lol.

I loved Ruth. She was the matriarch, but the one time she slipped and had that affair with David, it humanized her even more. I loved that storyline.

This was such good storytelling. The history between Tad/Brooke/Adam/Dixie..the different combinations of couples...the parentage of JR and Jamie.. Legacy storytelling that 10-15 year later, still impacted life in Pine Valley.
And I'm one of the few people that loved Tad and Brooke together. I love Cady McClain, but Dixie Cooney Chandler Martin got on my last nerve. #HusbandStealingHussy

I liked Tad and Brooke together. To me, it was opposites attract.

I don't care the reasons, I thought Brooke was absolutely wrong to ever keep Jamie's paternity a secret. You don't lie about one's parentage. That is so wrong on every level. I know from personal experience. I'm gad she rectified it relatively early, but still, to even lie for one minute is wrong for everyone involved...especially for the child.

Didn't Craig turn out to be a villain? Does anybody remember what he did later on?

Yes, he was a scammer who came to town. He pretended to be a friend of Tad's and ingratiated himself with the Cortland's. He went after Dixie for her Cortland money, but then truly fell in love with her. His old girlfriend Gloria Marsh followed him to town and she blackmailed him, telling him she would expose his past. Then Dixie's brother Will got murdered and it all got VERY convoluted. Personally, I really liked Craig and Dixie together.

@@deuxjournalistes2993 Wow, what a memory you have! I do remember all this now. I liked Gloria Marsh...but she eventually transmogrified into some sort of angel, didn't she?

@@knavishlassie she did...I wish Gloria maintained that edge she came to town with since I enjoyed her as a schemer.

Because the actor and the actress that played Dixie LOATHED each other in real-life. They changed his character into a villain so he could be written off.

Dixie stole Adam and gave him a baby with little care in the works and Brooke stole Tad and harms his baby. Payback is a mutha.
