      gogogolf4183 yes sir! This can help you hit it higher and farther. You just have to make the bottom of your swing more consistent. Just observe where the club head is hitting the ground in the downswing. You have to control the arc and bottom of the swing thanks again!

    Right palm facing the sky ( or close to it ) at the top of the backswing achieves so many good results .( right wrist is cupped) Keeps elbows together , right elbow pointed to the ground and below the lead arm, left wrist is flat or slightly bowed , stops wrists over hinging , promotes left forearm rotation, keeps the club behind you ,and also helps in transition with shallowing the club , placing it in the slot . Just having that single feel at the top of the backswing ( right palm facing thy sky ) incorporates so many good things into the golf swing .
    End result - krispy kfc shots straight down the fairway .

Using stack and tilt and keeping right elbow tucked against body I can now use my right hand as hard as I like now smashing it at 66 years old with no back aches and hitting further than ever thanks very much.

    What is the proper grip for the right hand, so as not to start hooking shots when using right hand power? In the past whenever I have added right arm & right hand power I start hooking the ball. What am I doing wrong and how can I correct this to hit straight iron & driver shots with a lot more right hand power?

    While i agree with you on the right arm role in your swing and many others, Bobby jone's swing was a left arm controlled swing that crossed the line. His free flowing hips had much to do with that and his arms weren't shortened like you show as he had one of the longest arcs in golf history which is why he reached a 605 yard par 5 in Minneapolis in 2, yes he made the eagle putt. Good video, just wanted to give an acknowledgement to a man that won 13 majors by age 28 then retired. What made jones great was he often went months between majors without touching a club. Thanks for your videos.

    Jess,
    I discovered your channel and really like how you deliver S and T information, so I subscribed. One thing that is elusive to me in the S and T swing explanation is the concept of extension. You discuss it regarding the right arm in this video, but I believe there is body extension in both the backswing and downswing. Can you concisely explain?
    Really enjoy your videos and clarity.
    Thank you.

    • @JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton
      @JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton  4 года назад +1

      Charles Gallagher thank you so much for subscribing and your question. Extension is a function of letting your right shoulder retract in the backswing and almost feel like you are standing up because of the tilting and 3 dimensional movements of your body. Extending, tilting and turning. By extending tilting and turning your head stays still and your body stays centered. Yes, the body extends in both the backswing and downswing. The left shoulder retracts in the downswing. There are also neck tilts that help extension as well. I highly recommend getting the stack and tilt 2.0 videos for super in depth detail. Hope this helps and thank you again!

    Jess when you make reference to a karate hit or punch , it makes me think that the target is the ball. The club and ball is like a bow and arrow. I think that schools stopped using analogies. Why be surprised, they also stopped using writing. I know you mean to imply hitting through the ball not at it.

I tried something once.... and seemed to hit drives not bad... imagine Reggie Jackson...Mr. October.... in his home runs, his body leaned back and big hip turn and straight left leg... left leg leaning back kind of .... your thoughts?

    • @JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton
      @JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton  4 года назад +1

      Hey Steve! Thank you so much for watching and commenting on my video! There are so many similarities between body movements in baseball and golf. That's why you see so many good golfers who played professional baseball. If you look at the long drivers in golf Jamie Sadlowski his lower center still moves forward towards the target. Golf is also played on a tilted angle with angled golf clubs. Often golfers come to me who are former baseball players and struggle with the slice because their hands, wrists and arms work differently in golf than baseball. Hope this helps!

    I appreciated the video as the right arm as been something I’ve been studying and working on. It would be incredibly helpful to show the down swing SLOWLY and in the camera’s screen so that we can see the action of the right arm and whole club within the whole downswing. When you show the punch, the hand is different than what you show the punch with a club. You also do it quickly so it is almost impossible to see the motion. Assuming the hand is in the correct position at the top, I would like to see, with a club, the total downswing emphasizing the right arm punch and extending the club through the shot. The current camera angle cuts off half the stuff you’re showing and the speed of the actual action makes it difficult to follow without guessing what you’re doing. Slower and seeing more would be helpful. Thanks.

      @@davidfieler7480 Hey David, Thank you sir and yes i will produce videos on what you are asking about. I just produced a driver video. I will do hybrid and fairway woods. Transfering momentum is a favorite subject of mine. Thank you again!

    • @davidfieler7480
      @davidfieler7480 4 года назад +2

      If the driver video you say you just did is the one I just saw, it was completely lacking in a complete instruction on hitting the driver. It was not very informative at all. I find it so hard to transfer the weight, when the majority of pressure/weight is already on your front leg on the backswing, and then you have to transfer more weight on the left side on the follow-through. It’s hard to get momentum like you can from trail side to left side on traditional swing. I can handle it better for short clubs, but it’s extremely difficult for the longer clubs, especially the driver.

    • @JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton
      @JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton  4 года назад

      @@davidfieler7480 Hey David, thank you for your feedback. The confusing part of transfering your weight is you extend, tilt and turn in your backswing. You are not leaving your weight all on your front foot You are staying centered and turning your shoulders on a tilted circle. Your pressure goes into your trail leg on the backswing. Even Tiger says he feels stacked in the centered in a recent Golf Magazine article. He is not swaying off the ball in the backswing. I feel the misconception of stack and tilt is keeping your weight forward throughout the entire swing. If you can unweight your front foot and make solid contact then feel a little weight transfer into your trail leg. There is nothing wrong with feeling the weight go into your trail heel. I am not a fan of staying in flexion with your chest to the ground in the backswing. Hope this answers your questions. My goal for the channel is to shine light on a terrific system that helped my game and can help golfers improve their games. Please keep watching as I will continue to evolve and improve my videos to help golfers around the world:) So thank you!

Its changing our habits and moves to the correct way. For example i get across the line yet was a scratch golfer but struggled with consistency. Years of ingraining how my right hand moves at top of my swing f###s up my ballstriking. Its great how you point out how that gets into a poor position snd at end of video you did well to help ingrain proper feels and moves to get right hand working as the power hammer instead of working as a power loss swing saboteur . Thx
