Been going since 2014. Turn 12 top row for 2023. Love this event, ear plugs needed for support races. Hospitality at turn 12 was quoted at $5.2k for a 3 day pass. Get ready to walk 10 miles. Simple rule: go early and stay late. After 3pm you cannot move. Do everything early and pack a cooler in the car. Only downside is the exit traffic.

Glad you love it! To answer your question: not sure why they do it but you can ignore it. My guess is they're required fields for Ticketmaster's system + possibly for tracking orders from different vendors. For example, one GA ticket from 2023 was Sec: GA18, Row: GA8, Seat: 129
Cameras are allowed but telephoto lenses are technically prohibited so it will be something you have to plan and manage for with event security. I've seen other people with them inside the circuit
I can tell you that I brought one with me last year. I recommend checking with the community on the app. There are lots of people going to the race and some may be there earlier in the day to report live.

Do you know if I can bring a backpack in? i see it on the website that it needs to be empty, or get it checked in a locker somewhere. Im just not sure
