    I have never needed to use my fingernail to separate the peg.....if you pull the thread taunt over the end of the peg and pull down, it slides right in very easily by itself...lol....you made this much harder than it need be....

    What do you do if the pegs are too loose? (Golf tee looking ones) They dont stay in their holes

      You could try giving them a little tap with a small hammer or something similar. The pegs are tapered so they should hold eventually.

      @@Potomacbeadco tks for the quick reply! I've tried that though 😕. Im looking into alternatives...like violin tuning pegs (sanded down) thanks!
