Hi Jill. Thank you so much for this video. I've watched many videos using Rick's loom, and they never explain like you have, like the counting of threads. I always thought one round of thread counted as 1. You counted them out in a way that now I understand more. Keep making these awesome video's for ppl like me.
Great tutorial Jill! You have given us so much more information than any other tutorial on Rick's Loom. Especially appreciate the detail on putting in the last row of beads which has always been a stumbling block for me when I have used this loom. Awesome!
I love this loom. I have both the Ricks loom and the Little Ricky. I take the Little Ricky with me when I travel. My bracelets came out beautiful. Both sides of the bracelet look perfect. This by far is the best loom out there for the $$. Jill you have provided great detail and information for everyone who did not know how to setup the loom. All the videos out there were very vague. I learned by making many mistakes. I thank you for always providing user friendly detail in your videos. I can't wait to see your looming patterns.Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. You are by far the BEST!!
There is a learning curve with this loom theres no dought! But the end result is top notch! I have used many different types of looms and this one by far has the easiest and best results. Worth it!
This video on The Rick's Loom is by far the best video on this loom that I have seen. I was not a fan of this loom. Other videos turned me off to this loom. But, as usual, your very detailed explanations & helpful demonstrations have made me reconsider this loom as an option. Thank you for this video!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video!!!! I am a visual learner and needed all the help I could get to start looming. I bought a square stitch kit from you 9 years ago (not my fave stitch but I loved the design) and now I can pull it out and make it. 💜💜💜💜 Looking forward to creating my own patterns.
You all prolly dont give a damn but does anybody know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot the password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me!
@Trevor Benjamin i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I am so happy you have this video, showing beginning to end. I've had this loomfor 2 years and there was only 1 not very informative RUclips video. Wgish you showed how to attach beaded ends or added the like. Thank yoy
Hi JilLove your videos and this one is just what I needed to start using my Ricks Beading LoomI bought one last year and was looking for some great instructions on how to get started thank you so much
I just got this loom and was hoping to see a demo. Thank you for all of the detailed information and tips! Your tutorial was so easy to follow and helpful! Thank you so much for sharing it!
I have a question on loom issues... how do you determine the size of the bracelet based on the size of the beads and if you have extra space left over on the loom, how do you fix it?
Hi, Jill! Awesome tutorial you got here. I love how detailed this was. I'm planning on purchasing a Rick's beading loom and I was searching I also saw some raise the concern that taking the rods off would also loosen the design. I was wondering if it's possible to just tighten the warp threads instead from both ends as it zigzags through the pattern. Do you think this is possible?
Hi Jill. Love your videos, they are a great help when I'msstuck in a project. One question at the end of the video you're saying something about a link for a free pattern but I can't find it anywhere. Is it still available?
Jill why don’t you leave your beads on the needle to bring them up to fit between your threads, then once you have them up where they are supposed to be, then pull your thread though, the beads, then put your needle back through the beads on top of the warp threads?
Jill mine has a separator card to start the first rows. No clue how though. Did you try that method? I have heard mixed reviews on the card. Great video!
Are there any tutorials that show how to use the loom with semi precious / precious stones like amethyst, onyx, opal, etc.? Also, where can I get the Miyuki clasp? Thank you for your informative tutorial.
Maybe I'll try with my Rick's again, you make it so clear! My sticking point is having to adhere to a predetermined length. Trying to adjust a pattern to come out right when you can't deviate at all on the length just flummoxes me, I have no clue how to do it.
I thought the same thing, but my thoughts are to do about a 1 inch shorter than I probable want and then finish it off with the flat square stitch. That way I can adjust the length.
I have been making necklaces on the Rick's Beading Loom and I find that my pieces are coming out short and then I have to re-do the whole piece again. It seems that it comes up about 1/4 inch short or more. This last time I tried extending the warp threads by 1/4 inch or more and I still came out short. As you can see I am very frustrated. Any suggestions? Please!
There is a book sugested by The Polymer Clay tutor called "Bead it Iron it Love IT!"by Kaisa Holsting, It was designed for those little plastic circle beads for kids but it shows You how to read the graph, it has graph paper in it to make your own designs and it really helped me to understand the whole graph thing, tons of motifs and little cute stuff too. cheap, less than $20.00, I think I paid $14.00. I believe it was from Amazon.com Jill Keep doing what you're doing, your business is really tking off, think it's the videos, your humor and easy attitude. Each video has goods tips and tricks, I learn so much, and get so inspired with your designs Thank You.

Vibrant in red! Lovely color on you. Thanks for this tutorial. I had shelved this loom out of frustration.

I agree. I am trying this loom again thanks to Jill😃
Melanie Holowachuk Thanks Melanie!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Now I can start using my loom that I purchased about two years ago. Can’t wait to get started.
There's also a Little Ricky that ends with only 2 warp threads! And it's half the price. Brilliant!

@Tony Bowen you are welcome =)
Thanks Jill for the excellent tutorial. I will get my Rick's loom out for a 2nd time and try again.
Thank you! Was super interested in seeing this loom in action. You are so thorough, too!
You can also use cross stitch diagrams for beading on the loom. :)

Hi, At the end you mentioned a peyote tube PDF? I can't find that at your site. Can you provide a link? Thank you. Love what you do!

Hi Jill, is there a way to decrease beads towards both ends? If so how do you do this on Rick's bead loom?
Is there a pattern r video for the bracelet you are wearing? I think I need to be with that piece.
Maybe I'll try with my Rick's again, you make it so clear! My sticking point is having to adhere to a predetermined length. Trying to adjust a pattern to come out right when you can't deviate at all on the length just flummoxes me, I have no clue how to do it.

Really enjoyed this. Thanks. What pattern is the bracelet that you are wearing?

Hello, Jill. 😀 It's been awhile, since I've seen you. Hope all is well.

I love your bracelet do you have a video for it?
What does it look like under. I suspect that there is a background of threads. Could we see on your next video
Sorry, I've watched a 2nd time & I realized that the thread is already in the beads
donde conseguir el aparato
Ack ... the entire threading of the peg was off camera!!!!
You literally just wrap the thread around the peg and stick it in the hole.
En español las explicaciones por favor
how can i got it?
How much?
I've seen them on Amazon, Etsy, Michael's, Hobby Lobby, and at bead shops. They cost around $45-$50 USD.
Who weaves in ends? Just tie them off and cut.
It depends on how you are going to finish the ends of the bracelet. Sometimes, that's not an option.
This looks like a mess of threads... imposible to fit the beads in there... they are too seperate and uneven...
oh Jill, what a palaver. don't think its for me
Well this is a great video, so much so that I took that loom off my shelf that has been there for 4 years. Good bye square stitch.
I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the video Jill is brilliant but that looms are not for me.
Oops, didn't mean to post this under you. So sorry.
ALL THAT WORK TO RUIN IT AT THE END!
Just feels inauthentic...to me.
