Hey all - I'm now offering genealogy research and software services - see what's on offer here today - it's my Google Doc to keep things simple! docs.google.com/document/d/1oNtOL4Dw0GOpucWmzVdA2HwqdBCTDf6JjKOHHnVf3IE/edit?usp=sharing
Took me a long while to realise the value of looking at adjacent pages of census records for other family branches, future spouses and even missing children who were living with relatives nearby.
Likewise. Found a "missing" 5 or 6 year old boy from an early American census (not a direct ancestor, so I wasn't overly concerned) by turning the page and finding him with a different family nearby. No idea of the circumstances, but there he was. Some day I hope to go back to that family to see if there's any further contact with my ancestral family.
My mother purchased a house here in Philadelphia, PA (USA) from a family with the surname "Christmas". It was an African American family (he had a very light complexion). Sorry but I don't remember the first name of the owner.
I've tried turning pages and it asks me to pay again. You must have a subscription? And that allows you to read the whole thing? I don't I've just been doing the micropayments. Subs are expensive and you need lots of them as different mobs have different records.
Hi Fiona - the micropayments only apply to the 1921 census in FindMyPast - with all other census records, you can browse through them *with a subscription* (as you can also do on Ancestry). It's just the 1921 census that they've put a lock on for now. Hope that helps.

I actually just found a future spouse of one ancestor living next door - amazing isn't it.

In census records the age of the person is in a column with a male or female heading so the gender is there. Good luck with your research.
Thanks - yes, you're right. I have learnt a lot more since making this so hope to do some more videos on various censuses soon. Cheers.
