This setting of the famous World War I era poem by Dr. John McCrae is stunning in its simplicity and emotional impact. Perform it for Memorial Day and veteran's ceremonies or at any concert occasion.

My school does this every year for our veteran's day program and I love it's absolutely so beautiful
Yo mine does too bro
We all should
I GOT THE SOLO FOR MY SCHOOL AND THE WHOLE SCHOOL AUDITIONED!!!!!!❤❤
If I ever need to cry, I listen to this song. Both the arrangement and lyrics are just gorgeous.
I'd never heard this before until not so many years ago. I begrudgingly attended a choir performance at a local middle school and some forty or so minutes into the performance I suddenly found myself fighting back tears as these words were so beautifully sung by an older group of children. It will remain one of my favorites.
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
Beautiful one of the best renditions of the poem I have heard.
i agree :)
Great rendition , challenges Emma Brown at Ypres, Menin Gate
Yep and by two outstanding music educators ❤️❤️❤️
Today I did simply sing, and now I’m an alto I hate being soprano
My school chorus is doing this and I got the solo!
This might be a little late but congrats

so lagte but our school is making us sing it in unison which is so good.
Sang this song for 8th grade veterans day concert, as a freshman now I'd love to sing it again because it's so beautiful and one of my favorite songs I've ever sang
This song guts me every time
I remember singing this with my middle school choir at our spring concert at the end of eighth grade! Thinking about the significance of this poem today, years later on Memorial Day 2021!
We sang this my freshman year of high school. That was 13 years ago
My choir commissioned this piece in New York City 2007 with Mr. Emerson directing

When your whole year group has to do it for Rememberance Day

Jesus loves you ❤️ Read the Bible
anyone know where i can find this melody in a VOCAL SOLO in really short notice
If you want that, just take the melody from the score? Unless you don't know how to read music?
I honestly thing SABATON did a better version of this. But bravo! This was amazing!
Emma Brown who sings at Ypres
