Ponds are addictive! We've dug six so far, with a lot more planned. Even with our lovely clay though, we're still going to be using liners for fish ponds in zone 1.

Lovely pond. I've got a large-ish stock tank pond with koi and lotus. Thinking of upgrading. This is inspiration.

    The pond is so cute~
I don't know a lot about ponds, but maybe you could get some potted water plants and place them in the water near where the fabric is visible. So as they grow they kinda hide the fabric.
I know it can get out of control easily but maybe some duckweed in the pond for the chickens and ducks to eat?

Yes, I want some plants, and the duck weed will be a major part of that. I should also be putting some in the back garden "pond" as well. Good idea. Thanks. ❤️

@@GreenLadyUrbanFarm I'm sure the ducks and chickens will enjoy eating it haha

It’s awesome, I love how you framed it and why you set it up as a cooling off spot!!
For the edges you might be able to have some aquatic plants that hide the plastic? We tried to get some aquatic plants established in our pond but the ducks ate every single piece of plant material!

Thanks! 💗 I've been doing some research, and I think I have a way to go about covering the plastic. Maybe. 😅
