@@jamesmacleod9382 Yeah Kipo is goddamn lucky that being a quote “living science experiment” gave her Jaguar superhero powers instead of terrifying side effects that could horribly kill her. "Which is perfect because it tells them that they're Ultra-Super Special AND a Trainwreck" You always have a least one line that just goes above and beyond
My first thought on seeing "final season" in the trailer was "This BETTER be the choice of the creators and writers, and not something forced on them, like Bojack Horseman."
Seriously season 2 feels like a downgrade from season 1. It just felt like it had more clichés used in the stories, and was just more predictable. Not only that but Wolf and Benson were sidelined so that the story could focus on Kipo doing all the important growth and actions.
@Zach Bartolo Considering how the show makes a big deal about few humans living in the surface and Benson looking and acting like a regular human out there, I think there's a lot left to explain.
Zach Bartolo thing is we don’t know if they do have personal issues cuz they became background characters now. What do we know about benson ? He gay, likes music and is best friends with Dave. Don’t know how he survive so long on the surface. Don’t know how he met Dave. Don’t know where he came from. We know those things about both kipo and wolf. They couldn’t give benson a backstory or something?! Same with Dave. Yes he an immortal mutant bug. But why is he so cool with humans considering all the other mutants disdain or straight up hate of humans. Season 3 need to give some focus on benson and Dave. Can’t just go well got the gay kid and that it. Tired of writers doing this.
@@sandywolfr26 It honestly felt that after Benson was revealed to be gay, and he got a love interest who feels the same way. The show turned him into a side character. And started yet another 'will they won't they' poorly represented gay couple.
I am sad that Kipo is ending, but if season 3 is good, it might go down as one of the most perfect cartoons that didnt get bad, retaining its charm until the end like Ok Ko and Gravity Falls.
Unpopular opinion: I don't think Kipo is as amazing as everyone says it is. I don't hate or dislike it but I just don't think it's amazing either. I have the same problem with Carmen Sandiego, and She-ra.
Really like this season but there was one thing that really bothered me. Kipo's parents never really got called out on what they did to Kipo. They experimented and mutated their own child while she was still in the womb. They didn't even do this cause she was sick or any other reason like that but so they could use her as a living weapon to clear out the mutes so that humans could start living on the surface again. Maybe its just me but this is the sort of thing I expect of villains and that Kipo's parents were never really called out on this really got to me. Still liked the show and the season but it brought it down a bit for me.
What they did may have been wrong. There should have been questioning by Kipo’s skin and eye colour alone. But I don’t think they wanted her as a weapon, as they wanted humans and mutes to live in peace. Also Song willing experimented on herself. Seeing as she is human again by the season three trailer, but I don’t know if they’ll address it as with season two when Kipo accidentally hurt Benson it was wrapped up in one episode. They are more interested in moving the plot a lot along and not character moments.
I disagree with your interpretation of why they did it, it seemed rather clear the idea was if all the humans had the powers of mega mutes they could live on the surface no problem and not *need* to live underground, given she was against the cure I seriously doubt kipo's parents were for just straight up genocide either Edit: that's why kipo kept coming up as 'the future' somewhat metaphorically kipo represented bridging the gap between muts and humans.
I know this is an old comment but pretty sure keep her mother and father didn't actually experiments on her. Spoiler maybe Turn back now She experimented on herself. She started the experiment before she even knew she was pregnant. They didn't realize that The experiment that she did on herself would transfer to the baby.

@@razbender1379 yeah but those 3 seasons have 20 episodes each. Kipo only has 20 episodes. Honestly I think 4 seasons would be the perfect fit. Because Hugo was the main/fake villain of the first 2 seasons they should have 2 seasons with Emelia. It definitely feels like there's so much more to the story. They'll probably spend the first half of season 3 building up the humans' anti-mute sentiments and then the last half breaking them down but adding in the concept of de-evolving these intelligent beings is so monumental that it seems like it needs more time but who knows. THREE DAYS TO GO!
So Kipo's parents are smart enough to keep a secret journal in a hidden place...but not smart enough to write in it 'If you see this person, kill her on site'. That literally would have prevented half the evil plot from Season Two, and make Season Three unnecessary.
